mcewan All-Star Member 1294 Posts 8/08	Posted - Nov 24 2010 : 6:11PM ^I would have preferred when A couple of Cecil Howard films were transferred to DVD By Media Blaster now distributed by VCX I wish one would have been Platinum Paradise or Firestorm instead of Babylon Pink.Fortunately for me when I started my adult film collection on VHS Cecil Howard was and still is my favorite director so I did end purchasing the majority of his Command library.The late Jim Holiday (R.I.P.) in his book from 1987 distributed by Cal Vista Only The Best says Cecil Howard has never made a bad movie,I agree 100 % he then say that he thought Platinum Paradise was his best film.In my personal opinion it's Firestorm. A large part of this is that Kevin James is in the sequel, rather than that weird looking chap Mike Ranger. Also though, imo, the script and scenes are simply better in the sequel. Even though the sequel is better, I think you will enjoy it more having seen the first one. Plus, the first one is good too, just not as good as the second. Talk Dirty to Me is another flick where many believe the sequel is better, but both should be watched (these are far superior films to the Taboo movies, imo). Also, Sexcapades has a sequel, Great Sexpectations, which rivals the first. I honestly couldn't say which is better -- they are both astoundingly good in different ways. [Link]

It received great reviews with some reviewers saying it was Andrea True's best film. And it was one of Anthony Spinelli's best works. Is it because of the poor visual quality of the DVD? Both are called upon to carry these films acting and fucking in multiple scenes and their overall performances never quite hit the mark for me anyway. Too bad Honey Wilder was not around to land these roles; she's great in the following Taboo installments. Maybe that explains why I like Taboo 2 so much; Kay Parker does not have to carry the film but instead she initiates Junior's character, who passes the torch, so to speak, to his sister---tb [Link]

Impulse Pictures also put out a very nice looking DVD of SECOND COMING OF EVA that uses the original Swedish track. [Link]
mcewan All-Star Member 1294 Posts 8/08	Posted - Mar 8 2012 : 4:01PM ^Until I bought The Private Afternoon Of Pamela Mann and Naked Came The Stranger restored and re-mastered I couldn't understand what all the hype was about.In the early 90's while living in Hollyweird I purchased a lot of VCA Pictures that were in those small little boxes they were on sale at the Pleasure Chest.Those two titles mentioned there was just to much missing for the viewing to be enjoyable.I'll admit I was extremely grateful to get a lot of those sell through titles and had a lot of fun viewing them not those titles though. I'll eventually get them replaced with the better editions. The Second Coming of Eva coming in a better edition sounds great, too.
