| pb3 Member UK 19 Posts 2/01 |  Posted - May 17 2001 : 5:50AMHi all, A couple months back I "defected" from ADN to FiveStar DVD due to their lower prices, frequent discounts and fast shipping (3 to 4 days) via Global Priority Mail. Sadly FiveStar seems to have scored an "own goal" by their switch to shipping through Denmark. Orders now take at least 2 weeks to appear after shipping notification. The first time this happened I thought my order had been seized or stolen This lead me to place an order (orginally destined for FiveStar) with ADN last Friday evening. I received a shipping noticification on Saturday and the order (3 discs) was in my hands on Wednesday. Wow! Yes the disc costs and postage was quite higher than FiveStar but 1)The shipping time was 3 days as opposed to 14 days+ I'm now minded to turn exclusively to ADN and/or some of the European suppliers mentioned in this forum. Porn is after all an "instant gratification" business and 2 week plus shipping times just don't cut it. Regds, [Link] |

But you have to consider that their page isn't very big. I guess they never thought about such a big international interest about their site, and the site updates seem to happen manually, and there's obviously no database behind the page, but the pages are rather static. I once wrote a mail to their customer support asking if they also had other titles not mentioned on their web page and if it was possible to order other titles. Aline told me that at the moment it was not possible for them to include every single film on their webpage and that I could also write them any wishes I might have, and they would try to get them. Maybe if you just ask if it's possible for them to get a special private release they'll be able to help you out. As with ADN: They once were my favourite retailer, but since they discontinued their Low Price Guarantee and their prices became much too high, and since they don't seem to be in the forum anymore and didn't care about the whole discussion I haven't ordered there again.
