Has anyone checked out Stagliano's new flick Hard in Love v1 and v2 yet? Does it compare to Fashionistas in any way? My girl LOVES Fashionistas and I dont wanna get her hopes up if the new one isn't comparable.

I haven't seen it, but the two sequels to the original Fashionistas was about as disappointing as the Matrix sequels. Good follow-ups, yes. But they were no where near the ground breaker that the original was.

I know it's G/G I'm just wondering if we get to look at awesome leather, latex, shoes and the like with some crazy bondage/sex gear like Fahionistas? Or is it a totally different theme altogether? It's not a "discount bin" kinda disc - so is it worth the splurge?

^ That is a good question and I would be interested to know that as well. That's why I keep wondering why the comparison is being made. For me Fashionistas was not only about the sick latex and vinyl outfits, but the incredible sex and BELIEVABLE storyline. Rare combination and difficult as all hell to pull off. If Hard In Love is an attempt to make kinky and hard girl-girl sex I could just buy a subscription to kink.com and see better there.

You can always check out the trailer. Heck, one of the stars of the movie; Samantha Bentley posts here and I'm sure has discussed the movie too.

It will be hard to top Fashionistas for me because that hit most of my kinks. That being said, its got Proxy in it which always gives me thoughts of checking it out.

^ True about Fashionistas. It also was really cutting edge for the time. Just like Latex and Skin gave us when those came out.
About 40 seconds into the trailer for Hard In Love I switched off. Wasn't interested.

Ummm hi. I don't really know why Hard In Love is even being compared to Fashionistas, especially because, aside from the fact John directed it, there is literally not one solitary thing that is similar, and no one involved in the movie has ever suggested otherwise.
The story: it is based on Misha and myself, if anyone bothered to read any of the info on the movie or watch the trailer or read John or our many interviews then you wouldn't need to post questions and wonder whether it is similar. It's not. It is not about latex or kink. Yes, the clothes were important but the movie is entirely based on Misha and I, our real life relationship and how we dress.
John worked with me and Rocco on Voracious a few years ago and then started working with me more, I don't shoot much anymore because I am very picky, but mainly only for Evil now. He also loved Mishas work. He took us both to Berlin two years ago to sign for Evil at Venus. We attended insomnia where I pole danced for Misha, John said he was fascinated by our relationship. Which is real, intense and generally very fucked up. Both Misha and I enjoy hard sex.
The movie evolved over the next year as we discussed it via Skype, it changed shape and story and cast so many times. Eventually John decided he wanted to make an all girl movie. His first. He wanted to shoot it in Europe so he could recreate what he saw of Misha and I at Insomnia (we shot in the club on the actual pole I originally danced on) Misha and I co created a story, using Johns ideas , Misha and I chose the cast, the girls we liked and wanted to fuck.
The movie is hard, messy and intense girl girl. The scenes all have different dynamic, the story line evolves more in the second half but I think the sex is harder in the first half. It's a bit dark and twisted .
This movie is for you IF: You like girl/girl, you like LONG porn movie (nearly 8 hours total for both halves) you want a bit of a dark story, you like spitting, anal, gaping, slapping, crying, sub/dom gg, dark shots (sometimes its more moody visual then direct action shots) european talent (except proxy) you're a fan of John, Me, Misha Cross or Angel Long , you aren't EXPECTING IT TO BE THE NEXT FASHIONISTAS. It is so different.
Anyway. Go into with an open mind should you wish to purchase it.

I really enjoy hard in love. As a woman it is hard to find productions that dwelve deep into the psyche of a lesbian realationship. I agree with Samantha, one can really see how deeply Misha and she care about one another. That feeling is genuine, no one can fake it. I may be biased, but I think Misha is really the star of the film. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to diminish Samantha or other co-stars. It's just that Misha has the capability to convey that fucked-up relationship, and she simply took hardcore lesbian sex to another level. As always, Evilangel brought the best out of her.

It's just opinion so no one should think you're demeaning Samantha. I happen to think they both made the film and without either, it would have had far less impact. Samantha always delivers anyway - and she's right about this thread - the films are totally dissimilar.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if the DVD version and Web version of this movie is the same? Or is the DVD version an edited version?
Thanks!

Thanks for the info Samantha! I'm the OP on this thread and I was just asking if it was basically a G/G version of Fashionistas (perhaps I didn not make that clear in my original post). I appreciate you responding to the thread immensely! Keep up all your good work!

I'm surprised it didn't get an AVN nomination for best g/g movie. The list is very 'safe' in terms of content and 'Hard in Love' is very innovative. Never mind, it did get Samantha a well deserved nomination for best actress.

Thank you, Samantha. I'm sorry for being so late in acknowledging and thanking you for the answer to my question.
Is this "kidnapping/rape" scene a full-on actual sex scene or is it a part of the acting/script part of the movie?
I am curious about one last thing: I always thought that, generally speaking, that companies are more restrictive with what they show on DVD's (for legal/liability reasons), like fisting for example, and less restrictive with what they show on the internet. This is the first time I have ever heard of it being the other way around...
