I'm just wondering because I placed an order with them yesterday. After I finished placing the order I was told I would receive a confimation on my order via e-mail, yet I have yet to receive this confirmation. I was just wondering if anyone had used them and how long it takes to get the confirmation. I know places like Reel.com and CDNow get you a confirmation within minutes of your order being placed, but I don;t know how long Five Star usually takes.

I know that it's a small start-up rather than some major chain, so instead of some automated system, it may well be an e-mail response generated by hand as the order is processed. I'd say give them a e-mail yourself after one business day...
I'll be trying them out soon, as five_star is one of the active members here, and keeps a pretty close eye on the boards. Steph has some terrific things to say about the place, and is confident that they'll treat us well...

I've placed only one order about two weeks ago, but it was great! The order was shipped about an hour after i placed the order. The prices were excellent too! I did get an email within a few hours i think. So far, i have been well pleased with them.

Ford Perfect- Sorry about any delay with the confirmation. We're in the process of switching to an automated email system so your confirmation may have taken slightly longer than usual. If you still haven't received a confirmation yet please email me directly.
alenbenson and brbowen - Thanks for the kind words! Next time you place an order with us please send me an email and I'll make sure that we add a little surprise to your package.

Five_Star,
I did receive my confirmation some time this after noon. I was just thrown a bit because I had never used Five Star DVD before, and I'm used to the almost instant replies from the other places.
Personally I prefer the places that don't use automated confirmations (which are becoming very few and far in between) just because I know a real person actually has to look at my order and confirm it.

I placed an order with these folks one week ago and received it today. Not bad considering they are in Arizona and I am in New England. They even shipped what I ordered. So far so good.

I'll also add my recommendation. I had my discs in only a few days and the packaging was great (plenty of foam peanuts). The pricing is unbelievable, so much so that I'm mad at myself for buying some of my DVDs at DiVaDee, since Five Star's sale prices on Wave and Raw are $4-5 cheaper than DiVaDee's sale prices...
Highly recommended; I'll probably place another order soon.

Hung Lo - Since it's your birthday and because you asked so nicely, I think we can give you a little surprise too.
By the way, in my previous post I mentioned "a little surprise". Well, yesterday I received an email asking if I could ship Asia Carrera and Tiffany Mynx as "a little surprise" in a package. Normally we try to fulfill any customer requests, however, due to postal weight limitations this is not allowed

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! FedEx is a pain in the ass if you're not home to accept delivery. Besides, if they scrutinize your "government issued photo ID" to release a box of DVDs, I'm sure they will probably require a background check before they will let you take home a few porn stars!

Hung Lo-
Saki is correct. If we tried to ship a porno actress to your house it would cause too much hassle with Fed Ex. Plus you'd have to give her lots of attention and I'm sure that you're too busy for that. So, maybe a DVD or a T-shirt would be a better birthday present for you.
