Whenever I look up a performer, my browser hangs until it eventually times out. I'm using IE 7 on Win XP SP2. It's been happening for a few days now.

Any performer in particular? Searches work OK for me. They're a bit slow sometimes, but not every time...

Searches and all other enquiries on the site are all working OK for me as well. I don't recall that I've had any speed/response time related issues for several weeks.

Maybe it's your internet connection that's got issues.

It was working fine until a few days ago. Searches were slow sometimes, but they worked just fine. Nothing has changed with my internet connection since then.

Are there any settings I should look at in my browser? I have the google toolbar - anything there?

I can't think of anything.

We added a new CSS menu to the site, but it shouldn't have any impact on your searching ability.

Do you have cookies turned on? (Shouldn't matter..)

How are you looking up a performer? Following a link from somewhere?

Thanks; wish I could take credit... the fella over at CSSPLay was nice enough to let us use it.

I'm hoping it allows folks to find stuff we had buried better. (What a horrible sentence structure that is...)

Since the new CSS Menu arrived whenever I go to the site there is a default performer name in the search field.

That name is "sandra london" which is not a performer name on IAFD and not a name that I've ever input a search for.

If I use the "Title/Person/Review" search option and input a performer's name I only get results for titles and reviews with that name in them and and under "Performers" it always comes up "no performers match your search term". This is a particular problem because the "Title/Person/Review" search is the one made through the IAFD plug-in for the Firefox search bar, so effectively I can't use that to find performers at the moment. Any thoughts?

John thomas - It's working again. One of the lookup tables got corrupted due to some bad data entry. A quick rewrite of the error checker should prevent it from happening again.

Thanks for the heads up!

Jeff

John.h2 - I have no idea why Sandra LOndon keeps coming up; it's gotta be set in a cookie. If you clear your cookies for iafd.com, it should go away... and you can set a preference to not track your searches from page to page...
