Ok thanks for having a look, what it is i have made a short movie(made some before with no problems) only this time i saved my project to my Videos with the intention of uploading it to Youtube.I went back in to open my Project and save it as a WMV file but it will not let me "Save As" any other file format,it will not scroll down to any other file options it's currently a MSWMM file.I think all my settings are fucked or something as have made Videos before and had no problems..can anyone help, thanks.

It's been a while since I've used Windows Movie Maker, so my answer may not be correct.
It seems that you have 'saved' a project file, not a video file.
What you need to do is 'open' the MSWMM file with Windows Movie Maker and then perform the Finish Movie step (#3).
This won't work if you have removed, moved or otherwise have eliminated the source files you used that are associated with the MSWMM project. They are needed to perform the Finish Movie step.
Make sense?

When you 'open a MSWMM (project file) with Windows Movie Maker and the associated video file(s) are not present this is what you will see.

A MSWMM file is a data file. It does NOT contain any video (or image) files. It is a file created by Movie Maker during the Edit (step 2) process that instructs the encoding module Finish Movie (step 3). This creates the end result, which is a WMV file.
This is a list of the video files that Movie Maker supports (will allow you to edit).
Video files .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv
Without the video file(s) used in the Edit step there is nothing for the the Finish Movie module to encode.

^Robert, thank you for your help-i as aware of what missing files look like in Windows Movie Maker, the red X but all my images were there that is why i could not understand it.I messed about with it again and this time i opened the project and saved to "Desktop" and for some reason that saved it as a WMN file,i had been saving to "My Videos",at least i know what do do for the next time, here is my Video, thanks again.
