I recently started collecting porn. I've got 100+, and now have got to the point where i collect it more than watch it. I first hid them under my bed. Then with GF snooping around i hid them in bookshelves with books in front. But now i removed the dvd covers and hid them in a huge DVD carrying case in the trunk of my car. I feel like i'm smuggling drugs. My horny friend even thinks i've got WAY TOO MUCH. Should i seek help or be out in the open and say i enjoy the ARTISTRY of the new porn?
#2 - "...and now have got to the point where i collect it more than watch it."
I hate when this happens
#3 - You don't need any "help." Embrace your inner stroker.
#4 - Girlfriends don't want you to be honest about your porn... they want you to get rid of it.
Maybe -- and I mean just maybe -- you and a girlfriend might "try" renting a porno together and see how she likes it. Do not -- I repeat, do not -- watch one from your stash.
If you can get her interested first, you can slowly open up about the whole pervert/stroker thing :)
It's a difficult one, I must admit. My parents know that I have porn but their not fussed about it. They know I'm an adult and legally entitled to watch it, if I so choose. As for the g/f, not sure about that one. For me, it's one of those "I'll cross that bridge when I come to it"
100+? is that all? Shite, I got at least 500 porno DVDs occupying 6 binders (and I probably have less than most). I take the DVDs out of the cases as soon as I get em, and put the artwork in a file cabinet and the disk in binder.
But since I now mostly download off websites that can produce content I can't buy in the US, I have another binder full of DVDs I've made myself.
But I never had to hide my porn, everyone I know knows I watch porn and have a lot of it. I don't display it also, but it ain't hard to find in my computer room, just open a cabinet and there it be. Also hiding it in the trunk of car? Don't disks say don't expose to high temperatures?

I hid from my husband for a while until my collection got too big. Then I simply told him, "Look. I have this porn. Deal with it or don't, but it's not going anywhere." Maybe you should try that approach with your girlfriend.
thanx everyone, i talked to my closest friend, and he tells me that i should invest in a portable hard drive and keep it there, since i know my collection should double by end of summer. AS for g/f, i mentioned it twice...once when dating, she said (I think this was a put-on) stuff like " oh i like Jenna jameson..." then 2nd time, six months later, i showed her a Belladonnna DVD, she got grossed out... i've been living a lie from then on.

Awww com'on 3SB, you know that's not fair.
Most husbands would be "fuckin' cool hun, so you're telling me you like porn...too?"
Girth: IMHO, the types who ONLY know the name Jenna Jameson, is because she's a figurehead in the industry (a very respectable one, mind you). However, showing that they don't know a Hillary Scott, a Belladonna, a Melissa Lauren or even a Gina Lyn or Janine...shows their lack of variety interest on the subject.
Sort of like saying, "Sure, I like Mercedes"...but not knowing any of the models & characteristics about them.

I hide mine in the garage rafters. There is something like 70 beer cases, each one has 30-40 VHS tapes, many from the 1980's and the early to mid 1990's. I have to stand on the top rung of a 6 step ladder which makes it a bit tricky. On the other hand, there ain't no way my lady is going to even give something like that a try. I stash one beer case and 1 oil case in the trunk of my car and those I hide under a car cover. The oil case has the DVD's and the beer case the VHS tapes. I have to toss away the boxes and cases for easier storage. I buy some plastic cases for the DVD's and number them with a code so I know what's on them. They are slightly bigger than the disc. If anybody opened a case they'd see something like 'Gooey Buns 14' with a photo of the Sineplex gals so they'd figure it out. The VHS tapes, well, many have the writing right on the case so I got a bunch of non-descript tape boxes, only slightly bigger than the plastic itself and I write on the case something like Rose Bowl 1995 or Laker/Celtic game Nov, 26, 2002.
Could a simple thing like books in front of porn fool a GF who should know that all men own some kind of material depicting naked women that isn't her? I don't think so, which leads me to believe that she already should've found out about your hidden perversions.
My parents got pissed upon noticing my shelf with porn, I don't hide it and never will, I hold good quality porn as high as any other good movie, if you don't like it - fuck you. I had done my homework and explained that there's even feminists who're pro-porn... I also told them 'This ain't the 50s...'
If I ever succeed in finding another girlfriend and she can't stand my porn... well... how much fun will she be in bed? Probably not very experimental...
Not only the type of woman you marry, but the type you clone for a rainy day
I read somewhere back on the boards where a post when up saying basically that most women want it gone. They may say that they're cool with it, but hardly ever bring it up because they all want to think they're the only woman on the planet.
Another example went something like a dude's girlfriend said she was cool with it and then when they got married she up and gave them away one day. Either way that's a woman you can't trust. Stick to those guys and if they flinch and get all bitchy tell them to get rid of the ugly ass cat they've that's been scratching up your couch.
The best thing a guy can do if he wants to hide his porn is to ditch all the covers and keep the discs in a zip-case with a lock. It's portable, it's small, and even if you fuck up and leave it out and open, his girlfriend at least won't see any of that gawd-awful cover art. The titles on the discs are bad enough.
If you have a big collection (I mean, bigger than your music or regular DVD collection), I'd recommend storing away the ones you don't watch all that often. When I was about 20, I was freaked out by a new boyfriend's big porn collection. I thought he was a pervert, but mostly I felt shitty about myself, like there was no way I could compete, or that I'd never meet his sexual ideal. I think that's the reaction of a lot of women.
Of course I wouldn't freak out today. I've got a decent collection of my own.
Agreed with Pagoda. That and do everything you reasonably can to make it seem minimal and non-threatening.
But I would also acknowledge that it's there, even if there's only a "little bit." If she finds out you're hiding a ton of stuff from her, I'll bet she'll be angrier about being misled than she will about the porn itself.
It could be worse. More than one recent widow found herself suddenly the owner of a $6,000 silicone sex that she never knew existed.
Pagoda wrote:The best thing a guy can do is not to hide his porn from his wife or his GF to begin. Better to have the arguments and see where they take you. Or state your position and refuse to argue.
My wife and I have been arguing or stalemated about porn for almost 20 years. It's fun, I tell you, really . . .
Was my wife part of your research study? If not, increase your statistics by one.
I have mine in a large locked box, that I have covered with a king sized sheet and use as a coffee table. So far no one has attempted to look underneath.
As much as it pains me, I may have to invest in some binders, which sucks because I am a collector too and admiring ones collection just isn't the same when it is in a couple binders.

There were these morning sports DJs I listened to every now and then. They'd always joke about porn and I always thought it was more goof than anything else until one day one of guys said, "For those into porn, it is not about what's playing now - it is about what is playing next." Then I thought maybe they are not goofing after all.
I've got kids in the house, so we have to keep our porn locked up. For us, we insert the cover art and the DVD into slipcovers and store them in binders. Going on 250 or so now, mostly couples porn. And yes, I said "we." My wife buys actually buys more porn than I do.
And I'm with the others here. I wouldn't hide my porn stash from my wife. I did in the early years of the marriage but once I told her about it, she revealed to me how much she had a little kink for voyeurism. It's been a lot of fun ever since.
I don’t understand why people have to hide porn; then again I am not married. My girlfriend knows I have porn and tons of it (being a freelance writer, you get a lot of free stuff.) She watches it too, which I am really lucky. It’s interesting to see her “perspective”
And kudos to the lady who came out to tell her man she had porn and deal with it.
I know I'm going to be hard pressed to find a woman who understands a guy like myself so the porn stash is the least of my concerns

girth peso wrotePersonally, I'd be alot more concerned with why she's snooping around in the first place. For me, it wouldn't even matter what she finds. Regardless of whether she finds porn or anything else, I'd be more pissed off with someone, even a girlfriend, nosing around in my belongings to begin with. Being too nosey is one quick, sure-fire way to cause me to lose interest. I live alone, so although I have my porn stored away out of plain sight in boxes and tote containers in my closet, I'm not exactly hiding it from anybody except any company who may come over. I don't know what's going to happen when I get married, as I know most women don't like having porn in the house. And if the type of girls I usually end up being attracted to are any indication, I'll probably end up marrying someone who is opposed to having porn in the house. However, I have also dated a few girls who turned out to be secret undercover freaks, so who knows?
I've just accepted the fact that I love porn and probably always will. I would never marry someone who was opposed to my having and watching porn. Just asking for problems.
Also...I agree. I'd be more concerned with the fact that she's snooping around in the first place.....considering they're apparently not married and it seems to be his stuff she's snooping through.
People snoop. This is true but they should expect that if they're found out, the person(s) whose items they're snooping through might not be too pleased about it.
When my ex-girlfriend moved in with me several years ago, she knew I had some porn, but wasn't really into that, although she was a total freak about sex otherwise. I had it all in boxes in the back of my closet (no real need for it when in a new relationship with a nympho), then one day, she found it all and pulled it all out. She couldn't believe how much porn I had--hell, neither could I! There were 4 or 5 egg boxes full of VHS tapes. She got it all out, counted it, alphabetized it, and put it all up in my shelves in my closet. Still, she wasn't really into watching it. A year or so later, after we had broken up and then sort of got back together and she was staying with me again, I got home to find she'd been watching porn for hours!! Apparently, she just sits there and fast forwards through entire movies, and had watched like 20 of them that day. She was even freakier than normal that night, and then that continued for a while.
Nowadays, my boxes of VHS tapes are in the basement. I pull them out from time to time, but I have a considerable collection of DVD's to keep me busy. I'm actually considering getting rid of all the VHS stuff--it takes up too much space. I live alone, but when I have family or friends in town, I always have to hide it all. I'm actually thinking of some way to store all the DVD's that is inconspicuous, like perhaps a hidden door/dummy wall at the back of a closet. Eventually, it will probably be cheaper to store them on a hard drive, but for now, you could only fit about 80-100 movies on a 400 GB hard drive.
I'm thinking of getting one of these cases to consolidate things. They have a capacity of 500 to 1200 DVD's in an aluminum shell:
I could never understand those people who claim that someone's a "pervert" if they watch porn. For me, it's a natural thing. I'm sure that the vast majority of us like sex so what difference does it make whether we also watch it as well as doing it? I think most people who scold others for being "perverts" deep down are just as "perverted" as the rest of us.
That's it. Best to say "look, I'll be honest with you. I have all this porn. Whether you approve or not, it's here" At least that way she can't accuse you of "hiding the truth" from her.
I'm sure I probably have several hundred--I better buy one big enough to grow into.
Now I just wish I could pay somebody to inventory them all for me and make a little spreadsheet or database of what I have. I can't keep track of what I have any more.
I'm surprised at how many people ditch the covers. I could never do that, no matter how much space they take up. I treasure the covers! It's art, don't you know? Well, some of it.
I think this is the overwhelming reason women react negatively to porn. Not that the women are degraded or that pussy lips look yucky enlarged.
It was *the* point of contention between my ex- and me and was the downfall. Then again, throwing it all out and practicing porn abstinence would also have been the downfall.
I would advise anyone who finds themselves in this awkward position to just shut their eyes and think of a good porn scene. Men should be also be advised that most girls can not be ejected and put away in a box afterwards. You may have to make some sort of 'conversation'. Use the net to find out more on 'talking to women'.
Plus, I would certainly think the original DVD case and cover art would be a good thing to have should you ever want to trade or sell any of your porn movies. Not completely necessary, no; but it would be better to sell or trade it just like you bought it apart from the shrinkwrap.
For space reasons I can understand others, but I'm totally with you on this one. How can you not pull out the DVD and look at the front and back cover of it? I mean the front of the DVD itself isn't going to have much but a picture on it. That's like throwing away original stuff for mainstream DVDs.
It is even harder now with all the nice sleeves that the DVD's come in. Check out Atomic Vixens and Rendezvous, true works of art. I almost wish I could switch jobs so I would be able to frame Illegal Ass and put it on my office all, Lillian Tigers ass is a work of art in itself.

Applying the "Weekend at Bernie's" principle, the poster might consider "hiding" the object in plain sight.
I just started buying/watching porn less than a year ago and have quite a few DVDs. At first I put them in an small antique trunk, hidden under a table-but they outgrew that. I moved them upstairs to my sweater drawer (had to remove all the sweaters). They are covered by a couple of sweaters. I can't get rid of the cases because I've been selling the ones I bought without watching them 1st (and did not like). Have been renting more now.
I am afraid that I will drop dead and my family will find them.
I too am afraid i have too much porn...is this pornaholics annonymous?! Anyway i live with four men...and i consume more porn than all of them together...me...a little gurl...they are total freaks obviously..though they sure like borrowing from me...i am the porn librarian in our flat!...so i guess it simply wouldn't do to hide it...they need to find the titles they are looking for...a good librarian makes it easy for people to find what they are looking for. The only time i would want them hid, is if i die and my family come to collect my stuff, they don't need to see that. is there a service that removes porn, when you die to protect your parents?
lol everyone needs a porn librarian...i have to say though, i am not very good at keeping my porn in alphabetical or category order...its just in piles of most used and less used sections! x
