you might need to break this down into specific categories. like highest paid for a feature vid or highest paid per scene gonzo vid. or maybe even highest paid contract star. just a thought.
I think it's a pretty easy thing to figure out. Just look at which girls are doing the most anal, the most DPs and the most creampies and they'll be your highest earners. I'm cure girls like Brianna Love, before her hiatus, were right up there in the top ten of earners. I'm sure Shyla Stylez, Bobbi Starr, Dana DeArmond and Jenny Hendrix are right up there as well. Nothing says romance like anal sex.
I think Brianna must of been top too, she sells movies, put her on the boxcover and you just know people will pick it up and take a look, plus you are guaranteed a great scene with her. Right now I'd say Jenna Haze, maybe she'll tell us her pay, then again maybe she won't. I doubt we'll get a definitive answer to this question as not many people like to discuss what they get paid in any walk of life.

Jenna Haze has to be #1 - Possibly twice that of #2. Her name and especially her likeness on a box cover guarantees robust sales and rentals.
No one will ever know for sure and no, it's not just all about how many circus acts one can put on their dance card that determines how highly paid one might be. gas milage is based on averages. i moved from pasadena to a different neighborhood so i take freeways more, my average went down a little, but 45+ is still very impressive.

I agree. But I can tell you from experience and from what I know that not everyone who makes that decision or has the final say sees it that way. It's not always the girl who we, the fans, think would move the most pieces or is the most popular that always gets the cover. So boxcover love isn't really a reliable indicator. Not to mention, so many covers these days feature either most of or the entire cast of the movie. So one single girl isn't always alone on the front anymore. Yeah, but just because an entertainer has money is no way reflective of any intelligence. Using Tyson as an example, the guy had an 8th grade education and got punched in the head for a living. Regardless of how much a performer makes, it's what she does with it. Just because she's making it for a few years certainly does mean she's keeping it. As an example, in one dvd I watched, a mid level performer walked into the room carrying a Louis Vitton bag. Given the estimated cost of the bag at $1500, the performer was doing the 2 guys just to pay for the bag. Not the wisest use of her cash. At the present time, the performer is out of the business, has a kid, and is washed up as a porn performer by age 22. But she still has the bag. Mika Tan said the same in an interview. She says that had the height of her performing days, she wished she saved her cash, instead of buying $100o outfits to wear to a party once.
I paid Gina Lynn $20,000 for her interactive movie plus $2.00 for every dvd sold with $20,000 for the first 10,000 units paid up front. $40,000 for 7 days work, that has to be one of the biggest paydays ever.
I love Gina Lynn to death and I understand she has a special relationship with Jules Jordan Video and remains a favorite over there considering how often she appears in you guys' movies still but I can't help but think that putting that sort of dough towards a girl like Shyla Stylez perhaps might have ended up a wiser investment. i agree but Shyla had already done one and, i was looking to make a statement with the dvd. from the package to the 2 discs i wanted it to be over the top, jam packed, like nothing before. i went with Gina because she had never done one "really" and she is a promotion machine. i was new at jjv and having her out on the road saying chris streams and jjv together was worth every penny. as far as making a interactive movie, was it the smartest thing to do with the money, probably not but it did raise the bar for all interactive movies. by that i'm not saying the movie did not turn a profit because it did but for the same money i could have made 3 regular movies.

It depends what you call rich I guess. I would be suprised if you (Dana) were not at least affluent. I would think the more popular porn girls with a website (they are in control of) can make upwards of $500,000 a year. I think website is probably the thing that gets performers the most these days if it's done right. Maybe do a bit of exclusive content, market it properly. If you have a website with 1000 members (this is not a particularly large amount), all paying $30 a month, you have over $300,000 right there, plus movies, plus appearences etc. I read Jenna Jameson and Tera Patrick are the porn girls that get paid the most, but thats more to do with the production side. Possibly performers who direct as well, such as Belladonna also make a lot. Just performers alone, there is nobody to mention who hasn't been mentioned already.
