Click the Start menu and Run: "regedit". Then chose: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
and delete the individual urls.

Every time I clear the history folder on my PC a few addresses still linger - two of them are porn-related, but one of them is Amazon. They stay there even after I've repeatedly cleared History on my internet options. I've also deleted all temporary files and folders and cookies, but that hasn't helped. Is there a way to manually delete them, individually? I'm using Windows XP and Internet Explorer. All advice welcomed... [Link] |

or do you mean if you type in the address bar in internet explorer? There are some free disk utilities available at tucows that can help you out. It appears 12Ghosts Wash is the best of the free bunch. I've never used it so make sure to do a little research before installing it. [Link] |

I've deleted history folder after history folder but the addresses keep popping up in the address bar. By rebooting you mean simply turning off and starting up again, right? foolproof way to close up some holes your firewall won't tcp-optimizer, mtu settings for dummies. make your computer run faster, very good explanations if you're up to it. make acrobat suck less and load faster obviously, check your ports to see what's happening and if you're not bored yet, run ethereal from ethereal.org and see what's going on at the packet level.
