Andrew Blake's House Of Dreams is very disappointing in my opinion for these reasons:

1)Zara Whites never smiles during the entire movie. The only reason any man watches this film at all is to see Zara, but she's not at her best after drinking lemon juice the entire day before the shoot.

2)Audio is terrible. I wonder if the sounds of the performers are real or are overdubs by other people. In either case, it appears as if the audio has arrived from outer space and is being processed by SETI.

3)The camera scene changes too quickly to really enjoy anything for more than a second or two. This attention span is appropriate for young children, not adults. The camera should have shown more Zara for much, much longer.

4)The sex is remarkably dull, even by porn standards.

All in all, an overrated title by far, in my view.

It's kind of a classic.
I haven't seen it in a long time, but I recall it being one of the most popular adult videos of its time. Of course, I had very little exposure to porn -- other than old 70s/80s stuff, a lot of which was not very good -- so the glossy visuals and "fashion" aura was pretty effective. Perhaps it hasn't aged so well, but for me it seemed like one of the pillars of contemporary porn. Not gonzo exactly, and no quite a feature either == but a hybrid whose influence is pervasive today.

Blake always has a softer and more artistic feel. The DVD sucks (just like every other Caballero DVD I've seen), but the movie is a classic. I don't think I'm alone in wishing that Blake would buy his rights back for the movie and release it on a real DVD.
