| Shawny Member 92 Posts 3/02 | I've seen plenty of movies that have anal sex, and I've got nothing against it, but I can't see how it's safe. In 1 of the movies I have a guy fucks this girl up the arse, then puts his dick straight in her mouth, surely this isn't healthy? Are there special lubes which make it safer??? [Link] |

| dumblonde Senior Member 2352 Posts 7/00 | Good questions, and I think P-Knuckle pretty well covered it. I'll just post some information and pics. I personally wouldn't do ass to mouth, but then that's mostly just done in porn. E. coli are bacteria that normally live in the intestines of humans and animals. Several are known to produce toxins that can cause diarrhea. One particular E. coli strain called 0157:H7 can cause severe diarrhea and kidney damage. |

I'm sure she'll thank you for it, and as P-Knuckle noted, she may return the favor. In answer to the question whether enemas reduce the risk, that depends on what she ate in the last 24 hours. Do we really want to go there? In answer to the question whether there are special lubes that make it safer, the problem is you NEED that bacteria in your intestine or you can't digest your food. If your special lube kills the bacteria you can be in as much trouble as ingesting the bacteria orally. So, if you want to have anal sex DO use a condom and DON'T put it anywhere else (and be careful removing of disposing of it too, think of it like radioactive material). Hardware "Remember crew..you're only where you think you are!" the Pagfeek Papers PS - If you're still not convinced maybe you should find out how many people die of bacterial infections every year. |

Just be aware that there are still risks. "Safer" does not mean "safe" -- it means safer than unsafe. ~ GaySatyr (ABB) |
| Kimi Lixx Senior Member 2012 Posts 6/01 | What Gaysatyr and p-knuckle and everyone else is pointing out to you is that there are other types of infections you can catch from anal play. You can't "test" for e.coli - pretty much everyone has some e.coli, you can't "test" for yeast - pretty much everyone has some yeast. Those organisms are part of our natural flora and fauna that help us digest food and resist toxins and other icky stuff in our gut. They don't do good things outside of the gut, though. So you should use a condom to protect yourself and your partner from fecal matter contamination. Is this real in porn? Yes, it is. No, nobody is sneaking in during a quick edit to wipe off the bottoms or the penis or whatever. Is it risky? Yes. Do the performers know it's risky? Most of them have a clue, some don't. Why do they do it? Because they are paid and they are willing to accept the risk as part of their job. |

| asseater Member 28 Posts 1/05 | me and my partner have been tested for HIV and other common STDs, but probably not hepatitis. regarding hepatitis, as far as i am aware hep A is only passed on orally. hep B and hep C can both be passed on through vaginal sex as well as anal sex. with e-coli, most strains are only passed on orally. some strains might cause a urinary tract infection but that should be easily treatable and not too serious. as for yeast infections, i would think its just as likely passed on through vaginal sex. i'm not trying to disagree with you here, i'm just asking for more information/clarification. i have had anal hundreds of times with various partners and have never been aware that it is particularly dangerous other than the increased risk of HIV. i know it is possible to contract a urinary tract infection, but would have thought that wouldnt be too serious. also i always piss and wash afterwards to reduce the risk of this. |
| Sir Noel Plum Senior Studmuffin 1001 Posts 2/03 | Safe is such a rubbish word really. Doctors and medical boffins seem hell bent in stopping us doing anything that might knock half an hour off our life expectancy. Quality and enjoyment of life don't seem to matter anymore: all that is important is that we are wrapped in as much cotton wool as possible. Better to live, or so is the prevailing ethos nowadays, through 90 years of tedious risk avoidance than 89 years of actually enjoying life. Sure there will always be a risk not using a condom; it will never be 100% safe. You want to be 100% safe: tough shit. Best bet is to go and live like a hermit, even the celibate catch infections off other people so why not go and live as far away from other people as possible if that is your goal. Seriously though, I reckon I must have fucked my now ex-gf anally w/o a condom over 200 times. Never had an infection. She sucked me off on most of those occasions. She never had an infection. Lucky? Maybe so, but you ask some pompous prick of a doctor (most of them) and they'll wax lyrical preaching fire and brimstone for anyone undertaking such things. Doctors are just so full of shit, they just reiterate they same stuff regardless and label everything as dangerous just to cover themselves. Not so long ago your doctor would have warned you that anal sex was a surefire way to permanent anal incontinence (some doctors probably still do. Take steroids? Your doctor will undoubtedly tell you that you'll struggle to make 40 - all the bodybuilders making 40 on 100 times your dose won't make your doctor flinch from her position one jot. Why? Because doctor knows best because doctor has read it in a book and because doctors deal in statistics and if those statistics show even a fractional increase in incidence they will tell you the risk is too great. A few years ago on the advice of the chief medical officer the British Govt banned T-bone steaks because there was a risk of between 5 and 50 million to one that you could get cjd from it. If that level of risk warrants a ban I think some people need to reappraise the way they view medical advice. SNP. |

| asseater Member 28 Posts 1/05 | "the British Govt banned T-bone steaks because there was a risk of between 5 and 50 million to one that you could get cjd from it." is not really true. the british government denied that human CJD was related to BSE for years and years despite a large amount of scientific evidence to the contrary. when they eventually accepted the evidence, they banned beef on the bone because they didnt know how dangerous it was and thought they should stop people eating it until they could find out. we still no very little about CJD. there is some strong evidence that the disease can have an extremely long incubation period (up to 20 years), and hence it is almost immpossible to quantify the risk posed by potentially infected meat. in the circumstances a temporary ban on any products potentially likely to be a source of infection was an appropriate course of action. no body knows the chance of infection, thats the point. to suggest that there could be a 1 in 50 chance of infection seems unlikely since the population of the UK is about 60 million and over one thousand people have died from the disease already. given that the incubation period could be very long and that the number of new cases each year is still increasing years after BSE was erradicated from british livestock, it is still possible that CJD in this country could kill hundreds of thousands. anyway like i said i dont want to take this thread off topic, i think we should go back to talking about anal sex its much more fun. |
| Sir Noel Plum Senior Studmuffin 1001 Posts 2/03 | At the very time the ban was introduced the press were freely quoting this statistic. Don't make out that the quantification of the risk came later because it didn't. I also think you are deliberately muddying the waters. The risk of beef on the bone was deemed so small due to the combined risks of the infected cattle in the food chain and prions then being present in the actual cuts as sold. The real worry was never beef on the bone but spinal cords, brains and god alone knows what else being used.# Anyway, as you say, lets get back to the anal stuff. SNP. PS Masamune, to elaborate on my earlier answer, she never had enemas but, and there is no pretty way to dress this up, it would be fair to say that over the years we spent together her bowel movements were generally very solid and I suspect that this accounts for why she always seemed, visibly at least, clean inside - very rarely did anything ever come out tinged brown. |

| RandomPrecision Senior Member Enjoy! 8175 Posts 3/06 | I don't know about the lube question. I would think that anything that kills bacteria wouldn't just target harmful bacteria but would kill bacteria indiscriminately. And some of it is quite necessary for a healthy bowel. As far as how safe ass to mouth is? I guess it depends. It's not the safest thing in the world but as long as the ass in question isn't diseased, the worst thing that's probably gonna happen from ass to mouth is you might need a course of antibiotics. I've done ass to mouth plenty of times and never gotten sick. Some people do but it generally isn't anything life threatening or anything. It's kind of the equivalent of taking a dump, wiping your ass and not washing. You never died from that. Right? Ass to pussy can be a little more serious because the female urethra is pretty short and bacteria doesn't have to go far to cause a bladder infection. Men can get UTIs from anal but it usually isn't too serious. The most dangerous thing about anal is that the anal skin is thin and delicate and tears easily, creating a rather direct path to the bloodstream. So it's very important that people who engage in anal be free of serious STDs. |
| RandomPrecision Senior Member Enjoy! 8175 Posts 3/06 | Condoms can and do break. Sex is risky. If you don't get sick, somebody might get pregnant. Know the risks. Many people know the risks and take them. Some get sick, some don't. |
