This is NOT an exagerated statement, but a sad (to we cigarette smoke fetishist) reality.

Ever since the hormones increased their flow and puberty set in, seeing a well-built attractive lady lighting up a cigarette, has given me a "sexual charge," and main-stream Hollywood films have "stoked those fires," for decades.

Thus, I natually expected, what I call the "steam stream," (porn) to really exploit the sexy cigarette prop, and film lots of scenes with sexy, shapely women, SUCKING deeply on, what we fetishist consider the ultimate phallic symbol---that loong all-white tobacco tube.

Instead, the stage prop of choice amomg most adult film directors has becme the damn LOLLIPOP dangle---especially with this cheaper youth movement (prom porn, I call it) among so many penny pinchng adult film companies.

There was a time (throughout the 80's and a third of the 90's) when sexy smoking women were a staple in porn films---Jeanna Fine, Nikki Sinn, Christy Canyon, Lene, Paula Price, Seka, Asia Carerra, Sydnee Steele, Dyanna Lauren, Jessica Drake-- the list was almost endless.

But then, along came a systematic anti-smoking campaign, initiated by AVN's Paul Fishbein, porn's self-appointed health czar, and within a couple of months, the lollipop was replacing that looong sexy cigarette dangle.

Doubters to this fact, have only to check several AVN issues of the early 90's, with anti-smoking editorials (one especially "scathing" by Gene Ross") as well as a number of NEGATIVE film reviews, which contained such phrases as "too much smoking," "lay-off the smoking." would be better without the smoking." and "forget the smoking."

The irony of this, "anti-smoking porn campaign to me, is that the originator, Paul Fishbein, has so many health/sanitation quirks, (a well-known fact, among the "movers and shakers" of porn, I'm told) that one might wonder if his mother once "knew" Howard Hughes.

At any rate, and primarily thanx to Mr. Fishbein, the CLASSIC bad girl imagery, perpetuated by main-stream Hollywood, even to this day, that looong cigarette dangling between a shapely, sexy woman's lovely lips, (one of the most erotic part of a woman's body to we smoke fetihist) has all but disappeared from the porn screen, as "kow-towing" adult film producers, deperate for good AVN film reviews and awards, are willing to do almost anything to placate "Payola Paul."

Thank Max Hardcore for popularizing the child sex fetish.

Porn follows the market, wrongly or rightly. Right now, guys seem to want to nail the babysitter instead of thier boss...

Just wait until the surgeon general discovers some nasty health issue associated with Viagra. You'll see all but a few of the male actors in the business disappear once they can't take the blue diamond anymore.

On a related note:

I just watched "My Virtual Adulteress: Adriana" from Bouncy Pictures. This whole POV series is chicks smoking. Adriana is pretty cute and has an AMAZING rack. The only thing that bothered me is that she appears to be somewhat new to smoking....puffs kinda weird. But otherwise, may be your thing as she smokes during all the sex.

There are still a few scenes here and there that have girls smoking in them. Cindy Crawford quite often puffs away on a fag in her scenes.

Has the lollipop replaced the cigarette? I think it's a case of one increasing in popularity while the other decreases in popularity. I don't see any sophisticated pornstars sucking on lollies during their oh-so-grown-up scenes. It's just those teens playing their young girl roles.

I don't understand why it doesn't appear more in porn. In mainstream entertainment they don't do it as much largely due to pressures from anti-smoking activists. They push them to set a healthy example. In porn, people are having unprotected sex - how could smoking a cigarette be any worse?

In real life, I HATE cigarettes. Can't stand the smell or the taste or the way they make me feel. But if I see it on TV and I don't have to smell it, like Keanu Reeves in "Constantine" or in the porn realm - Randy Spears - it gives me a surge. Of course, in my case it has more to do with the fact that it's a great way to display hands and I love men's hands.

Replying to some of the statements re my "rant"

I've seen many of the Bouncy Pictures productions, and except for a few films, they're ok, BUT NOT my cup of tea.

The kind of smoking that really, "flows the juice" for me in porn films, is seeing tight camera shots of good-looking, well-built WOMEN (not teens) lighting up and inhaling deeply (with finesse, NO puffs) on a loooong all-white cigarette (NO CIGARS or Brown papers), as a NATURAL aspect of some sexy character femme-fatale type role in feature, plot-driven productions.

I stress, "tight" camera shots here, because even in the extremely rare smoking scenarios, adult film camera operators and directors (wholly ignorant
of the enormity of our "smokerhood."--the coined term for the fetish-)
will invariably, implement the HATED "pan-away" to some mundane peripheral view, just as the lady places the cigarette in her mouth, thus robbing smoke fetishist of that powerful oral eroticism, so much a part of the sexual subliminal imagery--- those blow jobs dancing in our heads!!!

I realize the sexuality of cigarette smoking, is a very hard sell to so many following this forum, because (for most) they've been "indoctrinated" since kindergarten, against the "evils" of cigarette smoking.

I will even grant, that smoking poses health risks, and that the odor of cigarette smoke, can be a nuisance.

Nevertheless, the simple fact is that for a GREAT many older men, who grew up during the HEIGHT of smoking' s acceptability, and when the phrase, "non-smoking glamour queen," would be considered an oxymoron, smoking has ALWAYS been a sexual "turn-on."

Even today, attractive women, who smoke with finesse, either on film or in real life, project (to our smokerhood) the TRUE image of that "bad girl," which ALL men find appealing.

As noted in my original post, main-stream Hollywood producers and directors, have utilized the cigarette prop, and frequent smoking scenarios, as a very valuable stage tool, to accentuate that so-called bad girl character portrayal for decades---THEN WHY IN THE HELL WON'T YOU PORN PRODUCERS & DIRECTORS????

Even in behind the scenes segments, when it would be so easy to film smoking scenarios, and bring some REALITY to those mundane talent interviews, smoking is virtually ignored, and in many cases, the camera operator, makes a conscious effort to avoid filming the lady, even holding her cigarette.

On the other hand (and this is ESPECIALLY frustrating, and TOTALLY unappealing to our smokerhood) the men of porn are constantly filmed holding and smoking cigarettes, both in the main body production, as well as BTS--about as much of a sexual charge for me as plucking out navel hair!!!

I've attempted to understand this oddity (why the women, rarely and the men, frequently smoke on camera) and have reached the ONLY possible explanation---men are more assertive, by nature, than women, and will "light-up" whenever they choose, while the women, much more docile, are not willing to "buck" some over-bearing director's non-smoking set edicts.

Whatever the reason for the lack of sexy female smoking scenes in porn, and back to this thread's original "rant," I invite any of you out there to take the lollipop/cigarette porn ratio challenge, and select any 20 adult films made within this decade, then count the number of lollipops vs cigarettes "dangling" between the lips of the ladies.

Then, you'll realize that the adult film community has capitulated to its self-appointed Surgeon General, Potentate Paul Fishbein, and by so doing, SIGNIFICANTLY disrupted MY fantasy world (PORN) by all but eliminating "bare back" (condom less) sex scenes and so curtaling female smoking scenarios, in adult films, that we smoke fetishist, have a much better chance of seeing a sexy "lightup" on the Disney Channel--what a HELL of an indictment against an industry, owing its very existence to "bad girl" imagery!!!!

It seems like the only time you're going to see a girl smoking in porn these days is in the BTS. That's cool because you know the girl is a real smoker, not just doing it for the camera (anyone who's smoked for any period of time can pick out a novice pretty quickly).

The popsicles do nothing for me. Who are these pedophiles who want to fuck girls who still eat popsicles regularly? And the worst is when a girl goes to town on a popsicle, then has a neon blue tongue for the rest of the scene. It can present some continuity problems. In Jailbait 3 Micah Moore and Misty share blue and orange popsicles before getting it on with Steve Holmes, but in the very beginning of the scene the girls are in a tent playing patty-cake and Micah already has a blue tongue. Where was the script supervisor on that one? Do porn films even have a script supervisor?

Hi danl,

I totally agree that a smoking woman or girl can be very sexy. But I didn't understood when you said:"SUCKING deeply on, what we fetishist consider the ultimate phallic symbol---that loong all-white tobacco tube."

Maybe a cigar but never could a cigarette be a phallic symbol. It's to tiny.

You totally over estimate Paul Fishbein's and AVN's influence. I didn't even know he is non smoker and I never red the magazine.

There are three main reasons why there is less smoking in movies.

- There are less smokers (and it looks ridiculous to see a non smoker smoking)
- only few locations in the porn capitol of the world allow smoking
- It is difficult to shoot. If you want to get good angles and nice cuts it is hard to get the continuity because a cigarette burns so fast. The girl has to smoke several cigarettes to make it look she smoked one.

The most funny story for me was once with a young girl who asked if she can have a cigarette before we start. We were ready to roll, so I told her to smoke for the intro of the scene. She replied: "Oh no! I don't want my parents to see that I'm smoking."

I think the entire cigarette thing is old but for those that like it all the power to them. I personally don't like cigarettes and like them even less when they are attached to a hot girl's mouth, but that is my opinion. I like the young girls with the popsicles or the lolipops in their mouths. Of course, please take them out when eating pussy or giving a BJ. Veronique Vega looks good sucking on a lolipop as does Hillary Scott in Britney Rears.

To answer Mr. Steve Holmes: The cigarette has ALWAYS been a phallic symbol, especially (if you bother to completely READ my rant) when a beautiful, well-built lady lights up a LOOONG all-WHITE.

Hell!, everyone knows cigarette manufacturers in America, even created cigarettes, SPECIFICALLY designed for WOMEN such as Virginia Slims, Eve and Capri, because they KNEW the inherent sexuality of smoking, and just how much an attractive, shapely woman smoking, and inhaling deeply, with style and finesse, ATTRACTED, MANY, MANY men.

Thus, the above mentioned LOOONGER,slender brands, accentuate perfectly, the sensuality of a woman's lips and hands-both highly appealing erogenous zones to the "smokerhood,"--a coined term for our brotherhood of smoke fetishist, around the world, and especially active on THOUSANDS of "smoking glamour" web sites and forums, such as www.smokesigs.com

You WILL NOT find very many of our smoke fetish community posting on ADT, however, as the vast majority, "gave up" on the adult film industry several years ago, opting instead to browse among the THOUSANDS (NOT an exaggeration) of smokerhood friendly sites, where pictures, videos, and even, main-stream movies and television shows, containing sexy female smoking scenarios, are discussed.

For example, Quite a flurry of forum exchanges took place over the weekend, concerning a Bravo Network presentation of the TOP 20 sexiest movie scenes of all-time, such as the "riveting" cigarette lightup and leg-crossing scene by Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, during her police interrogation and Marilyn Monroe's "classic" wind blown skirt scenario in the movie, The Seven Year Itch.

WHAT!, all the "buzz" was about, is that in TWELVE of the twenty scenarios, some sexy female was SMOKING a cigarette!!! I won't list them all, but three more films, were Body Heat, with Kathleen Turner, Fatal Attraction, starring Glen Close, and what I always considered the origin of BOTH my smoking fetish and the powerful appeal of older women (MILFS) The Graduate, in which Ann Bancroft, seduces Dustin Hoffman, with a lit cigarette and her very shapely legs.

As for Mr Holmes' opinion statement, that MOST of the ladies in porn, are non smokers, that is HOG WASH!!! In fact, I would be willing to bet that 80% of all the female porn stars ARE smokers, in their personal life, which is almost THREE times the national average, among women smokers.

THEN, we come to Mr. Holmes' explanation re the continuity problem, as the cigarette burns down, during dialogue retakes: DUH!. Never heard of voice overlays and sound byte dubbing??? Film School 101, I believe its still called.

The ONLY argument, that I will concede to Mr Holmes, as a plausible explanation for the lack of FEMALE smoking scenes in porn today, rests with the stringent building fire codes and non-smoking ordinances in California, where OUTSIDE smoking in patios and pool areas is STILL legal and thus, alternate venues for filming the ladies of porn, "lighting up, as well as inside moving vehicles, etc.

In reality, ANY good, creative feature film and gonzo director, COULD easily incorporate female smoking scenes, within the main body of the film, and even, BTS, IF HE/SHE WANTED TO, and IF THEIR PRODUCERS WOULD ALLOW THEM THAT OPTION.

Therein, however, lies the RUB, for the majority of adult film companies, continue to worship at the feet of Paul "Fishbin" and his "minion of minnows." over at AVN---dictating what is and what IS NOT, acceptable film material, for porn.

I can't believe, that Mr. Holmes is that naive, when it comes to NOT recognizing the RAW POWER, "Payola Paul's" GROSSLY over-priced AVN convention/awards show exercises over the adult film community!!

In conclusion, I DO appreciate that at least ONE active porn director, took the time to respond to my rant (I had HOPED for more) however I completely REJECT,his EVERY explanation, re why, our HUGE, and (thanx, to increased societal anti-smoking pressures) EVER GROWING smoke fetish community, continues to be ignored, by today's adult film industry's producers, screen writers and directors

SHOULD a sexy lady even happen to light up, and smoke a cigarette in some filmed sexy character role, however, rest assured, what I like to call, those, "IDIOTORS" in the cutting room," will, "snip-snip,"" the offending scene away, as "Potentate Paul," smiles, yet, once again!!!

My dear danl,

I love smoking and I smoked for the longest time of my live. The main reason for me not to move to California are the smoking limitations. And I would make much more money living there.

I never let somebody dictate what I shoot and what not. I met Paul Fishbein on several occasions. He seems to be a nice man. Neither he nor one of his employees ever tried to influence my movies.

I shot girls smoking in my movies several times. But as much as I love smoking I don't have a smoke fetish. I don't have a fetish at all. Smoking or not, Lollipop or not, if the girl looks good I want to fuck her.

You got that right, and so would you I think if you had seen my boss (who does happen to be a woman). I don't have a babysitter, but my next-door neighbours do, she's about 20 and damn hot.

I'm not sure about the US but here in Holland the anti-smoking campaign doesn't seem to have worked very well. A very significant proportion of high school and university students here, both male and female, are smokers.

So I could easily combine a teen fetish with a smoking fetish as there are plenty of hot 18-year olds (and younger ones, too) who smoke. Who needs a lollipop? I love young girls but I associate lollipops with 8-year-olds, not 18-year-olds.

BTW those who like smoking girls in porn should check out Tiffany Hopkins in Throat Gaggers 8.

I sat next to Ron Jeremy on a flight from New York to La once. And he brought up this very same subject. He says porn producers and cameramen complain the cigarette smoke actually affects the electronics inside the cameras. And it affects the color on the film, when film is used.

To each his own, but seeing a woman smoke a cig was never a turn on for me and kissing someone who smokes isn't exactly on my list either, so no smoking isn't a "sad reality" for me....I'll gladly take the lollipop (or even better be the lollipop):)

I loathe cigarettes and I firmly believe they have no place in porn. Lollipops, on the other hand, can be extremely erotic when used as props, especially in real-life sex play. I love seeing my own girlfriend enjoying them as well as any time she eats ice cream cones.

I agree with you, danl. I personally hate it when a woman sucks on a lolipop. I find nothing arousing about it. A smoking woman on the other hand.....
I recently purchased "Smoking Butts" and Michelle Raven gives an awesome smoking blowjob
I'm a non-smoker myself but that doesn't mean that I don't like to see a juicy lady smoking.

As stated in my last post to this thread, I knew there would be little support for my "rant," regarding the fact that female cigarette smoking scenes are incorporated in less than 5% of all the adult films made today--an ABSOLUTE TRAGEDY to the "millions" of we men, "turned on" by sexy women who smoke.

I do, however, what to respond to one of the "slow learners" posting to this thread, who wrote that I should use the great number of main-stream Hollywood films, containing sexy female smoking scenes, for "jack-off" material.

THAT, is the whole point of my "rant," I WANT to use adult films, incorporating female smoking characters, for my self gratification material, NOT main-stream Hollywood productions.

The reason for this is obvious--main stream films, require viewer imagination re the sexual action, while in porn films, explicit sex is graphically portrayed.

Thus, seeing an attractive, shapely woman light up a cigarette in some sexy "tease/seduction" scenario, prior to the "fukin & suckin," is even more of a "turn-on."

For, you see, to we smoke fetishist, (the smokerhood) few parts of a woman's body, are more erotic than her lips and hands.

I can't help but recall here, an admonition from the prophet Muhammad, found in the Koran, in which he warns,"The faithful, should be ever vigilant, for the curving mouth and sensual hands of women, can be of great temptation, during prayer."

Of course, this explains, the reason Islamic women, many, absolutely gorgeous, btw, must cover their face and hands in public, and "especially" when attending prayer services in the Mosques, but to our smokerhood, it is the ultimate description, whenever we see an attractive, well-built lady, smoking her cigarette.

To be sure, the sexuality of cigarette smoking, is well-known to every good-looking woman who smokes, including, a great many porn stars.

I travel around the states quite a bit, with my job, and make it a point, to see as many porn star feature dance appearances as possible, whenever I'm near a particular, gentlemen' s
club.

Thus, I can state, and this is especially for you, Mr. Holmes, I would be "hard pressed" to recall a single porn star who DID NOT smoke, between her dance sets, and several, who even incorporated, smoking "tease" acts on stage.

Needless to say, I made it a point to visit personally, with many of these ladies, and request that they try to smoke, whenever possible, in their future film appearances.

Believe it or not, most of the ladies responded, that they had heard similar smoking requests, quite often, from other men around the country, and they would be all too happy to smoke on camera, IF their director would let them.

So, we're back to square one, the vast majority of adult film directors and screen writers, rarely incorporate the sexy cigarette stage prop, and female smoking character roles, for a myriad of reasons, leaving our smokerhood, to seek other, less desirable, and often much more expensive, custom film and internet outlets, to satisfy our "craving."---DAMNIT!!!

I was prepared to let this thread, and my "rant," against the fact, that lollipops, popsicles, and bubble gum, NOT the sexy cigarette, have become the "prop of choice," for the majority of adult film directors, today.

But, "then" I read "asinine" rebuttals, such as "no ashtray has ever given me an orgasm," and I am absolutely flabbergasted, for there is NOTHING, even remotely sexually stimulating about some ashtray, overflowing with cigarette butts.

The BUTTS, I'm trying to see more of, in future porn film productions, (and the reason for these posts, btw), will be looong all-white cigarettes, held between the sexy fingers, and luscious lips, of attractive, well-built WOMEN---NOT TEENS!!

This current, "youth movement"--prom porn--by so many adult film producers, to "churn out" the cheapest, possible product, is KILLING porn for me, and I'm sure, a great many other men.

For, my image of that, "bad WOMAN, not girl," for which the adult film industry, owes is very existence, has NEVER included, a lollipop or popsicle.

Instead, and main-stream Hollywood has perpetuated this image for decades--- that, looong cigarette (most often, an all-white) will be seen hanging from some, beautiful, "femme fatale" character's somewhat, over-painted, shapely lips.

On a personal note, and well-fitted for this post, my Great Uncle, was a prop master at MGM, for many years.

He once related to me, that for EVERY starlet's screen test, a silver or gold-plated (depending on her hair color and skin tone) cigarette case and lighter, was placed on the stage.

ALL, screen tests, again, according to Uncle Vince, began with the aspiring actress, walking, with confidence and grace, into a room, sitting on a couch, deftly extracting a cigarette from the case on the end table, and then, after lighting it, inhaling with finesse, several times, while appearing to be in deep contemplation, over some stressful situation.

I'm sure, several reading this, will say to themselves, "but, that was a different time, when smoking was more acceptable."

Well, Guess What?, ADT readers, Hollywood screen tests, to this very day, include sexy cigarette smoking scenarios, although, to be honest, today, there are option stage props available--CERTAINLY, NOT lollipop-sucking, however, which NEVER projected that, on-screen, self-confidence, poise, sophistication, and outright sexuality, Hollywood (and I, HAD HOPED, adult) film producers and directors, would be seeking.

You use nine paragraphs to describe a cigarette and you call me asinine?

I do want to apologize for the "asinine" remark, but I have been so frustrated over the fact, that attractive women are seen smoking cigarettes more on old Disney Channel movies, than in the porn films, made today.

Also, I did not spend nine paragraphs talking about a cigarette, for there is nothing at all that is sexually appealing about the cigarette, by itself.

What, I did spend nine paragraphs talking about, were the sexual dynamics, and physical "boost" a "great" many men experience, anytime they see an attractive, well-built WOMAN smoking a cigarette---preferably (for me) a loooong all-white,

I invite anyone, (notably, adult film directors) who do not believe, or wholly ignorant to this fact, to visit www.smokesigs.com, for just a "hint" of the enormous popularity of the smoking fetish---ESPECIALLY, due to so much "anti" pressure in America, today.

btw, for what its worth, I'm a non-smoker, very common among men, "infected" with the smoking fetish (sometimes called "smokeitis."--opposites, DO attract!!

I do apologize also, for not quoting the "perplexing" statement correctly, which was, "no ashtray, has ever given me a blow job."--NOT an orgasm.

The simple fact, however, is that to many men, that looong all-white cigarette, seen dangling between the lips of a beautiful, shapely woman, projects the subliminal image of the "real blow job," and thus, a strong phallic symbol---something, I have yet to find (a smoking fellatio scene) in ANY feature- plot-driven adult film, and probably, NEVER will!!!

Smoking is gross. Women who smoke are gross. I don't want to see gross women in porn. It's as simple as that.

(I do understand that many porn women smoke in real life, but as long as they don't do it on screen I can pretend it doesn't happen.)

If there's smoking in a movie PLEASE announce it CLEARLY on the box so danl can buy it and I can stay the hell away from it.

For me smoking is an instant woodkiller and even the girl smoking in the BTS can kill a scene for me.

Thanx, to one of the posters, for bringing up an extremely "frustrating" thing, among we smoke fetishist, by requesting that female smoking scenes be indicated on the box cover, so that I, and my fellow brothers of the fetish, can buy the product.

Knowing that the smoking fetish has a HUGE--for every "anti," there's a "yesee,"-- following, adult film companies, will frequently, practice the old "bait & switch" sales tactic--what I now call the "busharoo."

Thus, it is not uncommon, to see a box cover picture of one of the film's female porn stars, either holding a cigarette in her hands, or dangling one, from her lips.

This, of course, is a very persuasive sales tactic, to we men, "infected" by the smoking fetish--especially, when it "cums" to seeing one of our sexual fantasies smoking (we hope) several cigarettes in a sexually explicit feature, or gonzo film role.

Ninety-five percent of the time, however, such a scene will NOT appear in the actual movie, and we are BETRAYED again, by the old "busharoo!"

For example, in my humble opinion, the SEXIEST porn box cover of all time, advertising the film, "SIN City, The Movie," features Samantha Strong (one of my favorite "steam screen" ladies) with a lit cigarette dangling from her mouth, and a "Sin City," Logo, tattooed to her arm.

NO-WHERE, however, was this sexy lady, seen smoking in the actual film, and because Sin City personnel, constantly used this evasive technique on its box covers, it became known as "Sin Shitty," among devotees of our smoke fetish community.

In closing, and to stay with the main topic of this thread, over the weekend, I rented twelve adult dvds--females, with lollipops, candy, bubble gum-6, females with cigarettes-O

However, I did count, 5 cigarette smoking scenes, among the men--as I pluck out more navel hair (see earlier post)
