So I just noticed Brazzers has just now deleted a lot of scenes that were from their first 5 or so years. A lot of scenes that were from 2006-2010 have just now been removed. Old scenes that weren't in HD - 420p downloads. I noticed this because I had actually signed back up and had been downloading a lot of old scenes from that time. Anyone know if this just a temporary thing or they too cheap for more bandwidth? I've gotta say this site has really dropped off and I'm not even talking content. Download files used to have the name of the performer(s) now it's just the title, the site itself isn't as easy to navigate as it used to.
Brazzers need to bring back the Brazzers House series with modern pornstars.

Been on the site again and have noticed even more scenes that are more modern 2010-2015ish have been deleted. I am seriously fuckin pissed because there was this one Holly Michaels Dirty Massusue scene I needed to download and it is not up anymore. God damn this site fucking sucks. Too cheap to buy more bandwidth and they still have all their worthless "best of" scenes or Spanish dubbed scenes or "remastered" or this crappy self recorded videos. Brazzers is dead. Won't bother with any of their other sites in their network like Reality Kings. Fix this crap.
Wow I just checked and there's only 3 Holly Michaels scenes on Brazzers when there used to be 6. Gone is also the TLIB a ride for my ride, she's gonna squirt workout as well. Good thing I downloaded them years ago.
I left a comment on the page but I doubt it will get resolved. I have a yearly membership and picked up access to the bigger MG sites like RK, Mofos, Twistys, etc when they were on sale for $40 each in the PornPortal. So I'm not going to cancel any time so but it's been disappointing to see even these modern 1080p HD scenes being removed on Brazzers. Makes me wonder what else is missing?
I noticed last weekend that ALL scenes before 2015 were gone. Some have slowly returned over the last week. The same has happened with Reality Kings. I emailed Brazzers to ask why but have had no response. Hopefully this is maintenance and they will all be coming back, but an answer would have been nice.
They better give us those scenes back. I am tired of being a loyal subscriber only to lose a ton of content from one day to another for no fucking reason.

I just checked an archive snapshot. Brazzers had approximately 10,100 scenes accessible from their website in mid-November. That number now stands at approximately 6,100 scenes.
Did Brazzers just fucking purge 40%+ of their scenes from their website?

It's gotta be at complete random too, for instance, Rachel Roxxx's first anal scene from 2009 (which was in 1080p HD) is completely gone. But the spanish dub version of it from 2015 is still there.
For example, I was on adulttime (a site from a competing company) the other day, and they have a lot of duplicates of their older content because they are listed by movie, and scenes often appear in multiple movies and compilations.
Malena Morgan had a ton of her amazing WeLiveTogether scenes removed from RealityKings. Like WTF!
They weren't even that old. Scenes seem to be removed from many of their sites at random. No communication whatsoever with the subscribers.
At this point I am fucking glad they are getting pounded by visa and mastercard. Biggest porn company in the world and then these shitty practises.

That's what pisses me off the most - don't both to notify their members. Clearly dgaf about the actual members, they just want to suck whatever money they can get, they don't bother to listen the customers. Deleting nearly half their scenes is bullshit they probably just shrug and say so what there are still a bunch more scenes.
For what it is worth I talked to one of their 3rd party vendors customer service chat and said that scenes being taken down were due to some kinda maintenance. I forget what the person exactly said but something to the effect of taking scenes down I guess to edit any copyright or any other sorta issues. They had no clue if/when those scenes would be back. Mind you this isn't the actual company itself, which speaks to just how pathetic MG company is they can't even bother to explain themselves.
Sites like twistys, babes and most of the MG sites are as vanlila as they come, so why would MC/visa have any trouble with those sites.
I don't know if any of you guys are on twitch, but they are going through a huge dmca wave but that has nothing to with Visa/mc but rather the record labels and if the MG sites where having trouble with copyright stuff it would have nothing to do with visa/mc.
As far as I know the last couple of years all the major MG sites have produced porn scenes with talent signing contracts and I don't know what visa/mc would have trouble with a site like twistys other then they do porn
I'm sure they are just afraid of anymore mainstream backlash at this point from any questionable content. This is not the first time they have done this (obviously not on this scale) they removed pornstar punishment from brazzers years ago.
Interesting! With Abella it's almost like they've gotten to the end of a stockpile. For roughly 18 months, from Spring 2019-Fall 2020, you got an Abella scene every 1-3 weeks on RK or Brazzers. She's had two in the last roughly 10 weeks on Brazzers (Oct 1-Dec 21) while Luna has had 5.

They removed my favorite Breanne Benson scene, Securi-Tits from 2011. There was nothing wrong with that scene.
This happens just when I was considering a subscription for 2021. I haven't had one since the Pornstar Punishment bullshit. This is it. I'm 100% done. Shame on any company that treats paying customers like this. Imagine if Netflix removed 50% of their content without a word?
If that's actually the case, all I can say is that it demonstrates a shocking lack of competence from such a large company and supposed leader of this industry.

It doesn't really make sense that they would remove scenes for storage saving purposes since most of these older scenes have relatively small file sizes. I guess there are some newer scenes as well (I discovered a missing 2015 scene yesterday), where that could be the case, but then it still doesn't make sense when you consider that this is the same company that owns and runs Pornhub, which must have petabytes of data, or at least many times the amount of data of all the other MG sites combined. So I can't imagine that saving storage is the motivation here.
My best guess is that they discovered some sort of legal risk and are pulling every scene that falls within a certain criteria. Maybe this has to do with some sort of requirement from the payment processors wrt record keeping. Or maybe they did a check and found out that someone had zapped part of their records repository and so they're getting rid of all scenes they don't have records for.
I recently talked to a Probiller representative that said the sites were "under maintenance" and his advice was to download any content that I liked that is prior to 2015 because those scenes will be removed to refresh content. That seems like a moot point now as those scenes have already seemed to have removed with no word from Brazzers. I call some BS.
For a company as large as MindGeek, or even Brazzers on its own, it makes no sense to cut huge amounts of your back catalogue to make room. They can afford more storage quite easily.
I can't believe if this is all about storage issue for the mindgeek sites, they haven't even entered the 4k or vr on their sites, and if you take a site like naughty america they have now a large libary of 4k and vr videos which now spans years and years.
Yeah this sudden yanking of a huge portion of their archive is infuriating. What's worse is there are fair number of great scenes from 2014 which disappeared (I just tried to watch Dani Daniels 'Whore of Wall St" showcase and it's gone), but the Spanish-dubbed version of the exact same scene survived because it was released a year later. This kind of thing happened before last year when their content from 2007-2010 was mostly unavailable, but I was willing to overlook it since it was pretty dated so I could understand the rationale of needing to reconfigure their setup. But pulling random scenes from 2014 & beyond is simply bizarre for a site that's backed by a conglomerate. I'm not sure the explanation that they fear legal repercussion makes sense, because if that was the case they would pull the Spanish-dubbed versions of those scenes as well.
And the Mindgeek sites doesn't do 4k scenes which is a huge space saver for them there, and I have noticed lately that are releasing their HD scenes in 24 fps whicg results in a 1080p scenes being on avergage between 500 -1GB range.
But over the years the brazzers hd scenes have varied in size, a 1080p scene a couple of years back could easily be around 2-4GB range, so they didn't seem to worried about server space in the past, and server space is preety cheap these days, so I don't see why they all of a sudden is in need of server space.
am I missing something, or are the older videos back, or are they present here, but now accessible once you log in? Or should there be more than the 6,000 videos, and they have been randomly deleted?
Ok, on second viewing, there are only 6 videos from the entire 2006, and 55 from 2007. I don't think that are all videos from that timeframe. IAFD has videos going to 2004 (22), 96 in 2005, 255 in 2006 and 575 in 2007 693 before 2008 622 in 2008, 839 in 2009, 843 in 2010, 733 in 2011, 815 in 2012, 771 in 2013, 757 in 2014, 855 in 2015, 763 in 2016, 733 in 2017, 731 in 2018, 730 in 2019, 588 in 2020 ----- 10473 total
(I guess some listings in IAFD could be missing or double posted for some "Best of"), but I think as a ballpark figure this is ok.
^I looked at a review someone did last year and at the time there was nearly 10,000 videos so if the current number is under 7000 then clearly Brazzer has removed content. I can't say if the videos they removed are the really old stuff that less people care about or it includes more recent stuff but one thing is for sure. It must suck to have a bough a recent membership hoping to download the now removed videos.
The timing of VISA certainly makes it suspicious, but perhaps in a different way. I agree with everyone who says it has nothing to do with storage. As a paysite owner, storage and bandwidth become increasingly cheaper with scale. For example, a 4GB file takes up the same amount of space whether 1 person watches it, or 2 million, and bandwidth is cheap.
The decision to remove the videos must have came from the very top so I didn't even bother asking my contacts because they wouldn't tell me, but I can speculate on two reasons based on my experience:
a) They removed the older videos because they were encoded in a less efficient method and/or missing antipiracy fingerprinting and will be re-introduced as the encoding is complete
b) The missing content will show up on pornhub. Pornhub lost a lot of videos when they turned off user uploads, so they have to be replaced from somewhere. Once published, a video depreciates in value rapidly. Taking their older content and putting it on pornhub is a cheap way to fill out the content library again.
I'm leaning on reason b). I can only imagine with the removal of so much content on pornhub, not only will users be dissatisfied, but they lost tons of search engine and organic traffic.
If it's reason b), a good question comes up: why not just leave that content on the paysite? That's the one problem of my theory.
Yeah that kinda doesn't make sense, considering Pornhub already had a ton of MindGeek sites content on there and regularly got new videos uploaded that weren't removed from their respective sites.
This whole situation doesn't make sense. The least they could do is to communicate with their customers as the biggest porn company or one of, but no, they never say shit.

There are NO Flower Tucci scenes, only two from Luscious Lopez, and only five Trina Michaels scenes.
Brazzers should be ashamed of themselves. I have only just signed up for an 18 month subscription, and when I did there was no indication that these scenes would soon be no longer available to me.
I have read the T&Cs and I don't have a leg to stand on in terms of getting a refund, but I sure as hell won't be renewing. Absolute clowns.
Edit to add: There are only FIVE Katja Kassin scenes, including a Brazzers Live. I cannot believe this.

As a long time Brazzers & PornPortal subscriber, for context the missing old scenes from 2006-2009 were 4:3 480p videos that were only in WMV format.
There were also HD scenes from 2010-2011 that were also only in WMV but the 480p version were available in MP4 format. Those WMV videos stopped working because they couldn't be streamed anymore, so instead of letting customers download the WMV they just removed it and you would get video not found error. Although the photo galleries from those 2006-2009 were still available.
They took their sweet time converting them to MP4 and released a bunch of them when they did a site redesign (ill-advised) earlier this summer. When they started reducing their file sizes a couple of years ago I didn't mind that much but they also started replacing their older 1080p videos with their new lower bitrate, so scenes even 1080p scenes from 2012-2017 were replaced with this new format.
I am glad that I was a heavy downloader back in the day, building my collection of videos from my favorite stars (and I had almost 200 favorite stars) but around 2017 I just got lazy so I stopped downloading. My download collection was already at 32TB. I figured I wasn't ever going to cancel my Brazzers sub due to the PornPortal deal, so I stream for convenience.
The issue is broader with Mindgeek just randomly removing videos from their sites. Half of the videos at Twistys weren't even hardcore! Taylor Vixen was Twisty's contract star and they deleted most of her videos leaving behind just 3 videos. Twistys video count was down to 1364. Digital Playground also lost a whole bunch of scenes. I think Reality Kings as well. Not sure about Mofos since their video count was around 2700 so it seems like nothing was deleted on that site.
Although I downloaded most of my favorite videos even the old WMV files, I didn't download the accompanied photo galleries. Brazzers actually has really nice photo sets that are a good size 240 hex 1600+ and quality. They were great for using as wallpapers. This is another reason why I kept renewing my Brazzers sub year after year. But now some of my favorite scenes I no longer can get the photos, like the Nikki Benz + Nikki Sex doctor adventures scene.
I feel that people like me like to subscribe to these sites for the archive videos of favorite porn stars that have long retired. This is a slap to the face for the biggest paying fans.
I'm new to this forum, and I'm happy to read that I'm not the only one who is shocked and actually pretty f***ing angry about Brazzers removing more than 3000 scenes without giving notice.
Actually I noticed the week around Thanksgiving that the scene "Thanksgiving lay" from 2010 with Phoenix Marie, Alanah Rae, Breanne Benson was strangely gone. The week after, it appeared again. So I don't know if it's only a maintanance work they are doing. I really hope so.
Being a huge Scott Nails fan, I'm so sad to have lost more than half of his scenes, because I've only been a member since a few months so I didn't download them all. He's done most of his scenes in 2008-2012, so almost all of those amazing scenes are gone. Those scenes were classics! :-(
Did any of you who live in the US call the Brazzers support and ask? I sadly don't have a number to call in my country.
Storage. The bitrates for the new scenes on their sites are extremely low relative to what they were before and to other sites. That suggests a storage issue in conjunction with deleting scenes.

Entire sites, just disappeared, for example dangerous dongs vanished entirely, horny birds used to have 15 or 16 scenes, now there are just 6, in the VIP was 295 scenes, now just 25, I understand that for sites like Pornhub some people were featured having sex without their consent but what about professional porn actresses and sites, is it their way to tell the people to go to pirate sites to get that content?
^ Consent/records/Pornhub/etc don't explain the ridiculously low bitrates of the newer scenes on all their sites. Lower bitrates = smaller files = more storage. Unless you believe it's just a coincidence they deleted a bunch of content AND lowered the bitrates for all new scenes coming out to vastly lower than any other high production sites out there.

^ All right, but the scenes that I'm talking about are really old and their quality is not good, for example on Big Tis Boss there was 2 scenes with Kimber Kay, now there is only one, I would understand (and even support) removing scenes of dead porn stars, but what they did is really unacceptable unless justified. But I shouldn't be surprised, I've been ranting about it on this site for quite some time, they had control over Playboy online presence like Playboy TV and the same thing happened, a show that I really loved called Beach House vanished, Playmates! is missing episodes, they way they upgraded some PlayboyPlus old videos t 1080 got the video grainy and unwatchable, I know they exist on this site, please hear your fans.

Yet another example of why buying a long-term membership doesn't pay. I've never understood why so many people prefer buying memberships for 6+ months.
For some of us, we tested the waters for a month of two, then bought long term due to savings and the library we explored. We were still mentally living in the zone when a company wouldn't or couldn't delete 30-40% of its scenes without warning. I'm very cynical about my memberships these days and this still shocks me. MindGeek truly believes (perhaps rightfully) that they're untouchable to really do this to so many paying customers. I can't believe how far Brazzers has fallen. It's absolutely shameful.

i just signed to this forum to tell you, that i contacted the brazzers support today. I got the following answer:
"...Please be advised that the site will be completing scheduled maintenance . This will include a cleanup of the older content , specifically with release dates prior to 2015. This means that some scenes may not be available while they are doing maintenance. Once this is completed the site will return back to normal..."
I downloaded an older scene in 1080p a few minutes ago and recognized, that it only was about 1,3gb with a total lenght of 33 minutes. Normally older 30 minute long scenes had about 2,5 gb at least in 720p some times ago. The name of the file was different as it used to be back then, too. Bitrate from the new downloaded old scene is only 5628 kBit/s. Older scenes have bitrates about 8000 kBit/s or more.
My personal conclusion is, that they "optimize" the content which was released before 2015 and reupload it after this.
I found an older scene, where only the 320p download is available. I will double check it tomorrow and i think, 480p 720p and 1080p will be availyble then.
So they recently added at least 400 scenes back. Where they were at around 6200, they are now at 6600. So it appears they are downgrading the quality of their old scenes even more and re-adding them. It appears to be a move to save storage/bandwith. Ridiculous, but at least they're not eliminating half their content.
This whole debacle illustrates to me the importance of consumer ownership of content, which used to mean physical media (e.g. DVDs, Blu-rays), but now means downloaded copies of scenes. I have always believed that the consumer is entitled to own a copy of the content they pay for, not just the "license" to stream it at the discretion of the content provider. I really hope we do not lose sight of the importance of content ownership.

This is amazing to me its almost 2021 video quality should be going up not down how are people not complaining about this are most people happy this VHS quality. And they mustn't be complaining because there doing it and getting away with it.
It actually makes me mad because I actually liked the girls and the content, in general, the production was pretty good the girls are always dressed nice and with good makeup. Professional camera work in general, not one guy holding a camera in his hand bouncing all over the place.
If they made them available in high quality 4K individually on Legalporno, for example, their videos are 10 to 15GB each so they obviously don't have a problem with storage. I would pay for them there and they would make more off me than a yearly membership.
It's so frustrating I'm sure they're all shot in 4K.
