Quality is such a subjective term when discussing porn because one fan's treasure is another fan's trash and vice versa. I will say this, I have noticed that very few studios are able to maintain a high quality of product that lasts for any great length of time and there are a number of reasons for this. Usually the number one reason is that once a director reaches the ceiling of a particular genre or studio, they are inclined to leave to seek out a new one that will allow them to do something different; the second common reason is that it becomes formulaic and there are few surprises or nail biting intensity that has you on the edge of your chair waiting to blow your load. To maintain a high level of quality takes a certain degree of focus, awareness - call the adult industry version of the eye of the tiger. I've yet to see a studio keep this or be able to regain it after they get stuck rolling scenes that are indistinguishable from each other off the assembly line.

But quality starts with the basics IMO. And in my opinion, many, many Brazzers scenes are poorly lighted, have bad camera angles and no good pacing. Many things in porn and any other entertainment business are subjective. I absolutely agree with you there. You can't objectively say if a car is beautiful or ugly - but you can objectively say that the brakes suck.

Well, her scene with Savannah Bond is a prime example of bad director work. You could see very well that there are people involved who have little interest in the final product, but only want to shoot one scene after the other.....and that very rapidly.
What has happened now? I've joined realitykings.com some thime back with a monthly recurring membership. So I could download videos and photo sets. Then I've joined brazzers via pornportal within the rk site for a one-time charge. You only get streaming videos then for brazzers and no pic downloads then. Ok. But now they've changed their site, so you only get streaming videos and no pics for rk.com too. They want an extra fee for downloads too. It get's worse and worse.

One goal in Business is for all customers to become dependent on the Business for any service that the Business provides.
If the service is the opportunity to watch a specific video, then the trend of going from downloads to streaming is one example of this.
I was watching some Brazzers scenes from 2013 just the other night. The difference between those scenes and the stuff they're churning out now is startling. Better performers, better production values, more creative scenarios. Their current stuff is barely "pizza delivery/pool boy" level scenes.
Contact Support through the Chat link and mention that you are a legacy subscriber who has never been charged for downloads and they will reinstate your download access at no charge. I had that done this morning.
Video and picture resolutions are still an issue. it's 2021, still no 4K, and their bitrate for the current 1080p quality has gotten worse. They must have all the source files on their servers but put out dire quality. Give customers the option FFS.

Hi Karnivore, People didn't used to have small screens. Now they do. So that helps with not detecting hi-res issues as easily.
^ It's simply they don't bother doing proper photoshoots anymore. Hiring a still photograher besides the videographer (or one capable of doing both) is more expensive. Simply make the video, and then make some screenshots from that video. They probably think they're doing a great service, because, you know, making screenshots is impossible for a normal viewer. It's rocket science.

Brazzers has had the Insane Clowns Posse behind the Camera forever. So few Shooters get it.
I realise its been a couple of years but why did Brazzers get rid of their Aladdins Cave bonus video section? What happens to all those videos? Will they pop up anywhere else? Thanks for reading!
I haven't been excited or even really that interested in a Brazzers scene for a while now. I hope they get more actresses on with some curves, and do more anal and DP, but that's just me.
I think it is all about money, it is more and more like a monopoly, less and less a "market". So they try IMHO to get as much money, profit as possible, they contract exclusively big names like S. Bond, Alexis Fawx, Cherie DeVille and now Angela White. They produce so much new stuff, that they can drop out each day 2 new videos. I know for example, that Cherie DeVille who is with Brazzers, shot since june 2021 a lot of scenes, but to that moment some of those never dropped out, so the have some shots still to release in the upcoming time, but shot in summer 2021. And that is for all, the same for RealityKings. So because of this, it is IMHO absolutely normal and als obvious that the quality in "art", shooting, and all technical stuff around a set and production must lack more or less. It is like a kind of a production line !!!
I wish companies would do more videos with the female athlete fetish, including gymnastics (shiny, tight leotards) and track stars (tight booty shorts)!

Hi all, I've been debating about the 5-year membership currently on offer at Brazzers as part of their Black Friday sale. Does anyone happen to know if that includes full access (i.e. downloads) or would this be the streaming-only service that folks have noted recently, requiring extra pay for downloads. It's not spelled out clearly when you look at the sign-up page, nor is this mentioned in the Terms & Conditions. Just thought I should double-check before I commit one way or the other. Thanks!
I think the Lisa Ann "Lifeguard Bathtub" scene is at least partly responsible for why Brazzers isn't what it used to be anymore. I know they didn't make that particular scene, but the way it got memed and shared all across the internet seemed to inspire Brazzers to start adding stupid shit to a lot of their videos hoping they'll go viral the same way.
I think a good example of this is their Rebecca More "Big Mouth" parody scene. I think porn parodies can be fine if the male talent just shuts up and isn't in-character for the entire scene, and in this one Rebecca More's fantastic performance is interrupted THREE times by some guy dressed up like a fucking caveman running around like an ape and yelling at them. Who wants to see this shit? Why are you taking the camera off the action to show me some guy making an ass out of himself?
There's less focus on making actual good porn and more on, at best, contrived set-ups; at worst, annoying and unfunny "plots".
I see a lot of female talent in the last few months that are not classics Brazzers material. All the females casted looked like Contract Stars in the past. I've seen more sloppy, overweight and cross eyed women this year on Brazzers and it makes me feel like they just don't care.
I don't mind the occasional oddball, but you won't get or keep me hard with female talent most other studios wouldn't touch.
Your comment reminded me of hardx. Sam No / Mason might have inspired Greg Lansky but she never sought to follow up on the photography and now the site is now obscure though Mason continues to enjoy a loyal fan base.
As for Brazzers, there was a hot Mona Azar first anal video I vividly remember watching trailer of and I was blown away by how awesome Abella Danger appeared as a host. I think they've trying to reform their image which is very welcome. And so it should not hurt to hire a dedicated a photographer (VMG often collaborates with photographers to keep a variety of styles) because otherwise it will appear as an amateur ish site for fun - and a lot of goodwill of models also depends on whether they like their pictures.
Further, this thread, by its very title is insidious in that it focuses on the flaws - distorting perception over time. If someone is Brazzers fan and wants more constructive feedback they should open a new thread. The title of this thread will subconsciously keep reinforcing bad experiences - I'm kind of surprised that the otherwise very fair moderators here have not done anything to alleviate this.
Beating a dead horse here that someone else has likely already said but it's amusing how their slogan was once "World's Best HD Porn Site" but now they're shaved their bitrates to very low numbers over the years and unless I'm wrong they don't currently offer 4K quality?
I'm picky and pay for VOD whenever possible for specific scenes. I'm not so addicted to porn that I'll spend hundreds or thousands of dollars per year on numerous yearly memberships that will go to waste when they're only a handful of active performers I'm interested in (and not every new scene of theirs is a must own)
Eventually the industry (Mind Geek included) might need to consider changing their business strategy. Less people already pay for porn than they did in the past because of piracy and easy access on countless tube sites.
Some people will never pay for porn. Others might but there's the undeniable stigma that the average person thinks doing so is stupid or embarrassing.
With VOD there's no rebills, it's fast & discreet and it's money a studio/company is getting they otherwise wouldn't be receiving from picky customers such as myself.
Too bad Brazzers thinks it's better to charge extra for downloads on top of a streaming subscription.
There would probably be a surge in separate VOD purchases if it meant customers could obtain untouched Brazzers videos while the streams remain overly compressed (to save themselves bandwidth/hosting costs)
If you're paying more money on a single porn subscription than several regular streaming services or on gaming/physical media, simple logic says that's not a good investment and you're not getting the best value for your dollars.

^^ When something good happens at Brazzers, we tend to say so here, too. For instance, over 1000 older videos were restored to the site several weeks ago, and I made an enthusiastic post regarding this. But you are right that we need a more balanced view. It is just that in the past two years or so, there have not been as many good things to say about the site as there were in its glory days. The newest negative is having to pay extra to download.

I'll add : The sad and funny thing about not paying for porn is that it directly affects the quality of pornographic films you are going to watch in the future. So there is a bigger trade off.
The reluctancy adds up, and vice versa. In a parallel universe where everyone is paying for porn, better girls are working in better environment and porn is more accepted and more girls are interested in doing it and are enjoying the flexibility, finances and popularity likewise.
About VOD : I think it should totally be a thing. Bundling content is just an excuse to sell the weaker stuff with better stuff - unequal productions gets equally rewarded on the same platform which kills individual incentive.
It occurs to me nobody is complaining about the fact that every scene is comedy. I can't jerk to comedy

I don't think the scenes are comedy, I think the storylines and direction are terrible. I agree, much of their content is hard to jerk to. All the goofy faces they have talent make and ridiculous story lines are mood killers. The best of the classic Brazzers scenes are all about fucking. So rather your a nurse, realtor, athlete, stepmom or whatever, I see you, I want to fuck and the combination of what female talents wears and says drives the scene.
Respect to greats like Tory Lane, Angelina Valentine, Ava Devine, Diana Prince, Mackenzie Pierce and Juelz Ventura. They knew that plot and the role, but they also knew they were there to fuck and it showed in every explosive scene.
These days women are crossing their eyes, trying to hold their wigs on and pretend they are actually in the running for a Daytime Emmy award. That is poor direction, you never saw that in a Jules Jordan scene.

I see the latest Brazzers update is their standby lazy tactic. It's when you take a scene that is too long, break it into two scene and release it as 2 updates. For the record, it's no better when you hold a scene back for a few days then release. I have yet to see a 2-part scene that was anything more than The Hobbit. Stop strecthing 20 minutes of content into 2 hours!
100%. Brazzers is the site for production-quality vanilla porn. That being said, their scenes haven't been great recently. I don't care for the plot or anything in my scenes, just want some hot actresses with some good male actors as well (ones that actually do something other than just lay there while the girl does everything).

Do you realize this thread has been going for almost 8 years? Someone please tell me what's improved. This thread is the ultimate example of an entity not listening to consumers. I could list several big issues with Brazzers, but the one this is truly undeniable is their 480 content from a few years ago is more bright and more vivid than they reduced compression 1080 stream today.
