Hi all, does anyone have a clue how to access the glamour/BTS photo shoots for Brazzers scenes? It seems since mid-2021 all we subscribers get from the galleries for each individual scene are only screengrabs and no longer those solo shots, which kinda sucks. Thanks!
Not only that, but I miss all of the different sites, like Baby Got Boobs, Big Tits At School, Doctor Adventures, Teens Like It Big, etc. Seems like all of the scenes nowadays are all Brazzers Exxtra
The mods would caution me that this forum is visited by people in the industry, so I'll take that under advisement.
I think the formula doesn't work anymore. I remember the late '70s when variety shows on network TV seemed so astonishingly passe. And when folks woke up from the coma that was disco and thought, what the hell have we been dancing to?
But when you go back and revisit products from when the formula did work, you realize it wasn't the quality that was bad. A rerun of The Carol Burnett Show is still a quality production, and a Bee Gees song is still high-class, dance-worthy music. Some of my all-time favorite porn scenes with the girls I'll always love (for instance, Krissy Lynn, Sophie Dee, Mandy Muse, and God rest her soul, Kagney) were shot by Brazzers. They didn't suddenly turn obsolete, or that they all became "products of their time." It's just what happens to a production method when it gets overthought, and overstays its welcome.
Most Brazzers scenes are skits. To pull off a skit, you've got to love what you're doing. It needs to be fun. Modern Brazzers skits are not fun. It feels like the performers know it, and the crew knows it. And this depressed, run-down, second-hand shop feeling bleeds into the sex and makes it unexciting. The performers aren't enjoying themselves. I doubt the directors are having a blast. There seems to be this extraordinary effort put into titling, and making these cinematic front and end cards that are more elaborate than anything you see in the actual cinema these days, none of which really impacts the performance. If anything, it's like a high-end picture frame for a dull painting.
That's the word: dull. If the participants in this thread are representative of the consumer base as a whole (and I believe we are) then that's the diagnosis.
So what's the solution? I think Brazzers as a company needs to seriously consider re-inventing itself. If the revenue from continuing to mass-produce these cheap vignettes is shrinking, then they need to take a deep look at their customers, both current and former. Where are the consumers going? Where is their money going? And if the answer is Onlyfans, they need to ask themselves, what is Onlyfans doing right? And what could we do better than they do? I think they'll have a list of possibilities that's genuinely long.
But does this mean reducing their output? I'm thinking, yes. Rethink what it means to have a quality porn experience. Stop presuming it's made for a Windows 95 PC, and reformulated for "other" devices such as the TV and the phone. Sex isn't out of style. People still love watching naked bodies going at it - it's rooted in our brains. They've got some capital, they've still got the talent. Lay everything on the table, even the brand name. What can they produce that's quality, that's fun, that gets our juices flowing where they should be, and that folks will willingly pay for? Onlyfans is signaling that there is a formula there, that there's still cash flow to be exploited.
When the days of the Ted Mack Amateur Hour and Disco Duck were gone, the networks and the studios didn't just disappear. They adapted. Brazzers needs to adapt, before folks forget it ever existed.
Your assumption is correct. You may have noticed their ads may contain completely different shots from the actual scene. That's because they will shoot footage specifically for promotions, sometimes even with an entirely different team. There's nothing inherently wrong with this. Hollywood does this for example. But with ad performance tracking being so immediate and tangible, would it be much of a stretch for the marketing department to start influencing the creative department and guiding entire scenes, not just promo clips?
Well, let's be honest, it's easier to be intimate when you don't have a production crew training their eyes on your asshole. "Uh, Blake, hold that pose for a moment, could you reach behind you and open your anus a little more? We can't see it." You probably do have to be a good actor to pretend those guys aren't there.
Nevertheless, there's no sudden shortage of gorgeous performers. Onlyfans stands as proof that they're alive and fucking. I don't believe the good directors and crew suddenly died in a massive plague. What probably has happened is essentially the same thing happening with creative talent in every industry: They're being paid less, if at all. That's because the revenue model isn't working, because the demand is falling off.
No one can convince me that the Internet has suddenly made people tired of seeing good sex. That there's this glut of sex in the world, and that people have grown bored with it and would rather knit or take up skeet shooting. It's just time to rethink the business model. Onlyfans demonstrates this fact, but not even its own business model can presently extend to the hiring and maintenance of good production crews. It's sustaining good performers, plus other folks, as long as you're fine with foggy shots from an iPhone 12 with the autofocus going haywire. I doubt that OF production value will suddenly elevate across the board without viewers just-as-suddenly discover treasure troves of disposable income.
The answer, I believe, is someplace in-between what Brazzers used to be, and what OF is becoming. I do not think it's unattainable, just undiscovered.
Onboard with everything you wrote, but wanted to add nuance to this statement. 10 years ago when BLACKED launched, everyone in the industry was complaining about BLACKED's production costs being $5k+ per scene and setting a new benchmark for the industry. Brazzers wasn't too far behind around $4k+. Today, it's $5k minimum for a reality/gonzo scene. The talent is definitely not being paid less per scene, but companies like Brazzers has really scaled back. Shockingly, there were porn producers making nearly $200k per year at brazzers. But they were working all the time. Now they are in far less demand, and they were kind of overpaid.

I think Brazzers already had a strong phase in the 2010s. At some point, however, they started to kill off sites/genres. Until it degenerated into this fast food comedy network.
We've never had a problem with constructive criticism, which all of what you wrote was.
As for my feelings,
I get the feeling a lot of the directors who were good at this kind of thing have been leaving the industry. I don't keep up with it much since I retired from reviewing but I've noticed many of the directors I liked and followed don't tweet much anymore. Then again it could just be Alex de Renzy / Alex Borsky type changes.
Anything narrative takes more work, script writers, people in all aspects that care about the non-sex portions. If you start losing this, they are going to decline.
And, as we've all seen over the years, once something makes money in the porn industry it is beaten to death until the last dollar drops out.
None of this is to say all talent is gone and there aren't still innovators, they just seem to be far fewer and far more in between quality productions.
So have I got this all wrong? Are the crews and performers being paid more than five years ago, as an industry trend, because of evolving industry standards? And is there actual data somewhere that suggests to Brazzers that the material InstantClassic so beautifully described as a "fast food comedy network" is the stuff people actually want to consume in mass quantities?

^Brazzers probably has an internal data analysis where they can see - what sells/what doesn't sell.
You could also argue that Brazzers was quick in seeing the signs of the times. The days of Mason masterpieces are long gone, JJV no longer creates buzz - so why produce elaborately when everything is moving towards OF?
So you might think that Brazzes works according to the minimum principle. Achieving a financial goal with as little effort as possible. If Brazzers succeeds with the current concept, then they won't change anything.
Their god awful website has managed to get even worse recently, you can no longer see the scene dates on the videos page, and everything is now just listed under 'Brazzers', rather than the site it actually belongs to. Their 4K videos almost feel like 1080p upscaled, RK has 1080p files that are bigger in size than Brazzers 4K, and the images have been replaced with screenshots, the later two have been part of their crap offering for 18 months now, on top of having to pay extra for downloading. Shocking just bad they fell off.
Keiran Lee is basically bedbound at this point, every new scene of his is just him sitting on a couch, sofa or a bed, while the girl does all the work. It's legitimately funny how little effort he puts into it.
Hello! I've been a long-time Brazzers member. My last one-year subscription expired when the big content purge happened, and I decided not to renew it because of that. It's been over three years since then, and although some scenes have been reuploaded, roughly 2000 are still missing.
I'm seriously considering resubscribing, but the missing scenes are holding me back. My biggest issue is that it seems their removal was entirely random. For instance, there are scenes whose Spanish-language versions are still on the site, but the original ones are missing.
My question is whether anyone knows specifically what could have been behind the removals? Also, is there any way to legally access these scenes?
The 4K scenes released since 1st May are now 6GB in file size, and 3-4x the bitrate. Perhaps they're getting their shit together?
Would be nice if they added photos back, bought all the scenes back that they randomly got rid of and extended the 4K vids to RK, Mofos and the other network of sites. Less Keiran lee too. Quality over quantity.
What is the best way to join Brazzers I was a member for over three years but cancelled some time ago because of poor video quality. But when I was a member I had all the extras Mofos, RK and a bunch more.
But I remember reading about people complaining about the join page. As it didn't give you all the options, for example, if you join for 12 months you do not get downloads you have to buy that extra after you join.
Is that still the case?
Also, remember someone saying you have to speak to support first.
Is there anyone that can explain the best method
I would want to join for 12 months minimum with downloads
Also what other sites are now under the same family and is there video quality improving as well.
This is an important thread. Thanks to everyone that has contributed recently. I enjoy learning about this. I really would consider subscribing to Brazzers and/or other Aylo sites, if only just for the back catalogs to experience some of the classic scenes that I missed out on. Even if much of the new stuff is so uninspired, campy cartoony and like a bad sitcom. I recently cancelled my Adulttime and DF Network subscriptions for similar reasons. It's a shame, because I really really wanted to like Adulttime. They have by far the best member experience I've ever had. Large back catalog. Large variety. Release lots of new scenes frequently. Upcoming scenes spans months ahead. Constantly updating their blog and surveying their members. I really liked the website layout and functionality. Transparent metrics. Affordable. And they're very LGBTQ inclusive. The content just wasn't for me. And at the end of the day, that's what it really comes down to. I didn't mean to go off on a tangent, or steer the thread off topic. But I feel it is relevant to the discussion. So I'll get to it. Current content aside, how is the member experience for Brazzers? On par with current industry standards? Better? Worse? I've had lots of subscriptions over the years. But never to Brazzers or the like..
I downloaded the lastest Sara Retali scene from Brazzers in 4K and it has an average bitrate of 26.5 mbps, which is quite honestly overkill for HVEC compression and the cameras they use. Like, it doesn't look anywhere near as sharp as something from Metart for example. So while it is a nice change, it doesn't make too much of a difference as the quality is capped by their equipment and the post-processing pipeline.
Does anyone know how to contact Brazzers admin and complain about the galleries they uploaded for each scene? It stinks to see how those galleries associated with each scene since mid-2021 are filled with screencaps instead of glamour shoots + stills, which is the same scenario for the majority of Mindgeek sites (i.e. RK, Digital Playground, etc.) but not Twistys and MileHighMedia (they have recently re-introduced the glamour shoots + stills model).
To make things more mindblowing, Brazzers did actually take those individual shots and stills of our favourite pornstars with professional cameras for each scene, but then only uploaded them onto their Twitter and IG pages for PR purposes and not making them accessible for subscribed users in its members area, srsly...
Sadly they don't care, they nuked all the old scenes too, still pissed off with that. I wanted to view the old Cumfiesta scenes in early 2000's, nuked from RK too.
There are many scenes missing from brazzers and I think they fall into several categories: 1) They were pulled because they were "problematic" with cc processor (Pornstars Punishment for sure, maybe IR sites like Racks and Blacks that are archived on Data18) 2) They are being remastered (not sure about this, but some scenes like Spa for Horny Housewives with Monique Alexander from 2019 is in their new 2160p >5 gb format, whereas low size 4k came out in 2021-2022) and were pulled for some reason. 3) They were pulled at somepoint to be tampered with and forgotten about. 4) The original data was lost/corrupted.
I have no data on what its still missing, but in a recent download spree I'd say about half of what I was looking for based on external dbs was gone. A DB I use (StashDB) has a tag for removed scenes, so I guess a script on that db could provide a better number of pulled content.
As people complained about here before, they also shoot galleries for all scenes (not the viral ads) and they stopped offering download options for them around 2021, swapping stills for screencaps. Usually, scenes prior to that have galleries available for download, with some weird exceptions. Here's a few examples of scenes with missing galleries (and no screenshots): ZZ Series - Deadly Rain Part Four - Romi Rain Brazzers Exxtra - Sensory Deprivation - Kayla Kayden Mommy Got Boobs - Interview with My Asshole - Ava Addams ZZ Series - American Whore Story Part Five - Bonnie Rotten ZZ Series - American Whore Story Part Three - Bonnie Rotte
Recently joined Brazzers again after a long time away. After a week or so of searching, I've come to agree with many of the points made above.
I have found a few exciting scenes, but the percentage is low. My favorite by far has been Kira Noir, Violet Myers, and Alex Jones in The Brazzers Podcast: Episode 8. Superior partner pairing on that one. Great chemistry.
I'm gonna keep searching for pearls like that one.
whats up with the excessive amount of clothing the girls keep on in about half of all the scenes? i know there is a specific genre they created where the girl gets fucked in the gym through her spandex pants. i get it those are fine but not only those scenes but a large volume the girl keeps her top on and just rolls it up same with her mini skirt \ lingerie bottoms. i for one want to watch completely nude females fuck. not ones who are half dressed the entire scene. i dont get it what is the appeal?
