Although I discovered this site a few months ago, I only ventured into the forums for the first time recently and found the answers to many of my questions. Cheers to Speelie for his reviews, to Sbando and many others for their IDs, and to RoccoFan for saving me money on Rocco in London... I have a long list of girls that I would love to identify (or know more about). ID gurus - please help. I don´t want to overdo it on my first post, so I´ll start with these two German cuties. I´m looking for any titles starring Lydia P., this buxom, green-eyed godess from Berlin. I first saw her as Cindy in European Cuntinent 5, which Elegant Angel will probably never release onto DVD. No, I haven´t seen all of the titles I´ve listed on DVD. I have, however, seen quite a few of them on VHS. From what I remember: European Cuntinent 5 - She pairs with Kareem from Teeny fame. The issue is PAL vs. NTSC. TV's in the US can't display a PAL image. So, unlike other areas of the world, we can't just get any DVD player modified. We need to get a multi-format converting DVD player. These are players that will play a PAL DVD and output an NTSC signal. There aren't many of these players and none of them are from the major manufacturers. [Link]

The trick is that it can only switch regions a limited number of times (5). But as long as you pick up region free DVDs, you'll be able to play PAL DVDs on a computer for the cost of a DVD Rom drive ($50-100) if the cost of a dual format DVD player is too high. I went out an bought a DVD Rom so that I can watch at least some European PAL DVDs, though of course not all of them, Woodman's Safe Sex, for example, IS region coded :-( [Link]

The DVD isn´t listed on their site because it contains content prohibited by Swiss law (they didn´t specify as to what content). As for the supposed scarcity of the DVD, the gentlemen said that it would be the first MMV DVD to be discontinued that he can remember, so he wouldn´t be so sure if this is true. Canijo [Link]

I made sure the DVD-ROM I bought could do this before I got it. Having said that, I've not had to switch regions even once, as the only DVDs I watch have no regional coding. fannatastic [Link]

Click to expand I bought the Sampo DVE-681P Progressive Scan player from Buy.com. It's 149.99 with free shipping. There was a $10 Buy.com coupon that expired yesterday. If you don't have a TV that can handle Progressive scan (and don't intend to buy one in the foreseeable future, you can get the entry-level Sampo for $89.99 All Sampo's will convert formats. If you look at The Sampo Zone, you will find out how you can make it multi-region capable by burning a file into a CD and just inserting that CD into your player. You can also modify it for other functionality (which we won't talk about here). [Link]

Meridian mentionned he was certain that the title was released in North America under the Lil' Women series but I wasnt able to find it anywhere, I've searched on boxcover & backcover of most of the popular online retailers and found nothing. Thanks for getting back to me. No, I haven´t seen all of the titles I´ve listed on DVD. I have, however, seen quite a few of them on VHS. From what I remember:

Multi-region is not the issue. The issue is PAL vs. NTSC. TV's in the US can't display a PAL image. So, unlike other areas of the world, we can't just get any DVD player modified.

We need to get a multi-format converting DVD player. These are players that will play a PAL DVD and output an NTSC signal. There aren't many of these players and none of them are from the major manufacturers.

A search on the web will reveal several companies that specialize in converting DVD players to multi-region format. There are also some that offer PAL/NTSC converters built in. I have a Daewoo 5800 I purchased from an outfit in Chicago that works very well. You can also go the multi-system TV route and get a player that plays PAL and NTSC and let the TV handle the different signals.

This damn thread cost me $140 today and I haven't even ordered any DVD's yet. The discovery that so many Lydia P. titles are available on PAL DVD's prompted me to finally order a multi-region modifiable, multi-format DVD player.

No, it's really fun, (although this thread is becoming like a China box).

It would be great if we could build a more serious database, collecting all the information available. I know that a lot of people care about those "nameless" Euro starlets, and I would definitely like to do something like that. I don't have programming and databasing skills, so for the moment, bear with the bareboned list kindly hosted by Steph.

I don't know about the Euro Angels girl because I stopped renting Clark's videos around that time, bored by all the rubber and huge dildoes. Kafka, Peter and Zypher are the experts on the subject. And Gabriel, Wally and Speelie can help you too.

I just want to point out in all of this that a DVD Rom drive will play PAL and NTSC. The trick is that it can only switch regions a limited number of times (5). But as long as you pick up region free DVDs, you'll be able to play PAL DVDs on a computer for the cost of a DVD Rom drive ($50-100) if the cost of a dual format DVD player is too high.

I went out an bought a DVD Rom so that I can watch at least some European PAL DVDs, though of course not all of them, Woodman's Safe Sex, for example, IS region coded :-(

If all of this talk about the last copy of Ferkel! is making anyone nervous...

I have heard back from Orgazmik. The DVD isn´t listed on their site because it contains content prohibited by Swiss law (they didn´t specify as to what content). As for the supposed scarcity of the DVD, the gentlemen said that it would be the first MMV DVD to be discontinued that he can remember, so he wouldn´t be so sure if this is true.

With quite a few DVD-ROM drives, it's possible to reset the region counter using software. I made sure the DVD-ROM I bought could do this before I got it. Having said that, I've not had to switch regions even once, as the only DVDs I watch have no regional coding.

I bought the Sampo DVE-681P Progressive Scan player from Buy.com. It's 149.99 with free shipping. There was a $10 Buy.com coupon that expired yesterday.

If you don't have a TV that can handle Progressive scan (and don't intend to buy one in the foreseeable future, you can get the entry-level Sampo for $89.99

All Sampo's will convert formats. If you look at The Sampo Zone, you will find out how you can make it multi-region capable by burning a file into a CD and just inserting that CD into your player. You can also modify it for other functionality (which we won't talk about here).

Wow! I am happy you posted that picture. There is a performer I have been trying to ID for a long time already. I've seen her in a clip and she was interviewed by Harry S. Morgan (Stage name in the movie was Anita). I have talked about it with Meridian on another thread and Meridian thought she was a one timer performer, that had just left the porn industry after the movie (Zum Frühstück zarte Pfläumchen - Meridian's translation was: Tender Plums for Breakfast ). I wasnt sure if she was a 1 time wonder girl but I really hoped it wasnt the case even though I havent found any more material of her since.

Do you have another picture of her where we can clearly see her tummy? Because a distinctive physical trait of her, is all the little cute moles she has on her belly that are showned above on pic3.

I am afraid that is all I know about her, except that I believe she is Hungarian. I also don't have another picture of her. Believe me, if I had, I wouldn't have posted that ugly scan.
Maybe you shoud ask if someone has any of her 2 movies I mentioned, so that person can check if she has the moles on her belly you described.
That is the best I can do, sorry.

The scans are from the movie Tender Plums for Breakfast or the german version Zum Frühstück zarte Pfläumchen.

I have not seen it yet. I wanted to order it from Orgazmik, but the dvd is Discontinued: Not available anymore. Meridian saw the movie though and he was positive on Lina's ID, he talked about it in this thread.

What do you want me to say. Call me touchy, but I do feel offended. You make it seem as if I LIKE to post "less than favourable scans".
I agree I have posted many scans that weren't perfect, or even good. In almost every case, I have acknowlegded this when I posted the picture, as was the case with the picture I posted in this thread. I only resort to posting a bad scan when I don't have a better one. Would it have been better to not post the picture of Lina at all?
Well, just so you will never have to see that "less than favourable scan" of Lina again, I will take it off the server.

The tone of my post was meant to be appreciative and in no way critical. The bit about the scan was a weak and unsuccessful attempt at humour on my part. Had I punctuated that blurb with a couple of happy faces, perhpas I would have conveyed this better. Hello Canijo, unfortunately these titles seem to have been produced around 98 and I havent been able to find a retailer that still had them for sale, they seems the be discontinued everywhere. Meridian mentionned he was certain that the title was released in North America under the Lil' Women series but I wasnt able to find it anywhere, I've searched on boxcover & backcover of most of the popular online retailers and found nothing. I've even asked the clerk at my local porn shop to do a research and he had no clue about it. I've had no feedback from Meridian about that subject since the last time I've spoke with him on the last thread.

Ahhhh, I didnt knew about U&C 74. Most of the work I have seen from her was lesbo stuff (I saw All Natural 2 a while ago). I also discovered her in her ALS work. Thanks for the tip, I'll see if its still available for renting at my local porn store, I doubt it though, since they dont have a big selection of old titles.

If this is the girl you are talking about, it is good to know that she also worked for Vivid under the name Felicity, in some early Action Sports Sex volumes. I remember she did at least 1 boy-girl scene in one of those.

I received Zum Frühstück zarte Pfläumchen this morning. Avoid it like the plague. This is a compilation disc and, while there's no questioning the quality of the cast, each scene lasts an average of four miserable minutes.
Anita (Lina) is even sweeter and more innocent looking than I remember, but four minutes of this cutie isn't nearly enough to justify buying this shitty DVD (I'm so bitter).
So, the question is, what Junge Debutantinnen or Harry S. Morgan movie does the Anita scene come from? Please help me out. Let the games begin.

Man thats sucks!

I had high hopes about this dvd. 4 minutes of Lina/Anita is pathetic, I can't believe they would release such a crappy dvd.

I wish I had an answer to that question.
