Hi PurepaulukI must admit I felt exactly the same way as you when I first decided to "take the plunge" and import some Adult DVD's to this country but I can honestly say there is very little to worry about!
I'd definitely suggest you read the various discussions in the Shopping forum as they helped to put my mind at rest.
From what I have read, UK Customs have now relaxed their position on porn and providing that it doesn't contain kids, animals or extreme sexual acts (i.e., fisting) they'll let it through.
If you were extremely unlucky and the delivery was confiscated you would just receive a letter telling you not to be a naughty boy in the future. The cops wouldn't be round banging on your door!
I have checked out all the Adult DVD sites that are affiliated to Adult DVD talk and have found Adultdvdnow.com to be the best. The service is absolutely second to none. They ship the dvd's in hard backed envelopes after having taken them out of the boxes. You still receive the original cover but will need to go out and buy a dvd case yourself. The envelope is not marked as containing anything other than documents and there is no price declaration so you won't be stung for import tax.
Just to give you an example of how fabulous adultdvdnow.com are, I ordered 4 dvd's on Monday evening at 11.30pm and received them on Wednesday morning two days later! It still blows my mind how any company can deliver so efficiently! Furthermore, their Customer service is great too and you receive replies to any emails in the space of a day usually.
Obviously, you'll want to check things out for yourself but my experiences have been great and I think back to how nervous I was when I made that first order! I've never looked back since!
