No I don't think pussy porn will become fetish(thank goodness),@ least as perceived by most viewers) if only because, it's still the dominant form of sex(and in part due to its biological functions)and so there will be viewer interest in it(demand needing supply) And within the porn world I think the case can be made that the trend is stabilized/slowing. If you take the largest agency like LA direct, something like 12-14 girls do anal out of 100+ girls on the site, so about 10% do it. And that number hasn't really grown if you compare the last couple years to this year. Because while a few new girls do it now, prior girls who had done it, are retired now(vanessa lane, delilah strong etc.). Jules Jordan has mentioned here that he has a hard time finding new talent that do anal because of agents advice to starlets. This may be a good or bad thing, according to ones tastes, but I'd agree with the others that the trend of anal in porn is not rising and is probably decreasing.(although I don't have many hard statistics to back taht up)

I think the studio's have run out of ways to incorporate anal, butt, ass and gape into movie titles to tell the buyer it's of that type. It seems most movies be it teen, milf, i/r, blond or tits etc, has at least a couple of anal scenes in the release. That makes none anal movies in mainstream porn few and far between, do you ever see on a box cover "Non Anal edition" I don't think I've seen it, I think anal has become expected in porn. Tits seem to be the flavor of the month at the moment like anal was a few years ago, there are lots of fuller tits (not over sized) movies around. Tit movies 10 years ago were full of overweight women who had fat tits, now tits are in fashion the girls are young, trim, good looking and like tit play, which I think is great. The demise of anal porn has been predicted many times. The NY Post ran a series in the 80s saying porn was dead, because anal porn was seen as an extreme desperate act for sales. Brandy Alexander constantly yapped in RAME in the 90s that anal was just a fad, about to disappear. The fact is that gonzo porn is bought primarily by disfunctional types, who wouldn't pay a nickel to see vaginal sex. Now, or in 2050.
Perhaps the amount of anal sex in porn films depends not just on the taste of porn fans but also on the willingness of the porn ladies to have anal sex. And the willingness of porn ladies to have anal sex probably depends a lot on the competition they have to deal with. When there are more ladies entering the porn business for one reason or another. Then a bigger percentage of them probably will agree to do anal scenes. Because both the ladies and the film makers in such a situation are competing for a limited number of porn fans. And they naturally try to out-do each other in terms of nastiness, naughtiness, and the hardcore. From what I can remember, anal sex in porn films really took off in 1990's. Probably because a lot of East European porn ladies flooded the porn market. And in their competition with each other, these ladies ended up doing some really hot anals and DPs with the hardy guys. When economy got better in Eastern Europe. Then good-looking women from there found other opportunities besides making porn. Which decreased the competition between porn ladies. And which was probably why anal sex in porn films began to decline after about 2004. Perhaps now there are a lot more women willing to have anal sex in porn films because of the economic crisis and lack of opportunities to make money in other ways. But now the studios and the porn fans don't have as much money as they used to have. And that might be why porn studios are not taking advantage of the willing ladies to make more anal porn. The studios do have to pay the ladies more for anal and even more for DP sex. And with the money being tight. Perhaps film producers often choose the cheaper vaginal act in order to cut their costs of production. But this economic crisis won't last forever. Eventually, people and studios will have more money to spend on porn. And at that time probably there will be another flood of anal porn. Because it takes time for the unemployment to decrease during an economic recovery. And many porn ladies at that time would still be willing to have anal sex in order to get ahead of their competition.
I think some may put too much weight on factors like the economy in the US or Eastern Europe. The internet revolution is the main factor in my opinion. Suddenly it was a LOT easier to get hold of porn, and suddenly the choices were much more varied. Now you could actually get hold of stuff that matched your particular fetish, or you could develop the fetish. When I first saw porn in the early 90s, I remember a lot of it was "ugly" and much less appealing than today. Clearly, I didnt know where to fidn the good stuff. And neither did most people. Suddenly you could get hold of all kinds of porn. Now you could find anal porn that looked good. BUT I slowly found out that there was in fact some clean, gentle anal sex out there, where the girl seemed to enjoy it. That's how I came to be able to watch it... I was never one of those who had an obsession about it, quite the opposite. But in the end, as long as it is presented in a "nice" way, I am able to enjoy it. I dislike anal porn and only watch it if the girl is incredibly hot and she has no other non-anal videos on a particular site. That's odd, because it seems to me that anal content began to skyrocket around 2004-2005. But that may be due to the increase in demand for it at the same time, which possibly skewed the popularity of anal porn. No matter what the truth is about anal sex within porn, heterosexual anal sex outside of porn has been increasing. At least, it was prior to the worldwide economic crises.
Less anal in porn mean less money I spend. I've not rented a RLD video for almost two years. But Jay Sin and Jules Jordan, Brian Pumper (Gapeman)Evil Angel stuff had been stacking up in my collection. More extreme anal sex is what the industry needs to continue it's growth and stop the decline that has been going on over the years.
The problem for me with most american gonzo studios (Zero Tolerance, 3rd Degree, RLD etc): For every anal themed movie they produce you get 10 milf movies or barely legal movies with only few or none anal scenes. I hope it's true about anal sex being very prevalent in Euro porn. Then I can be amused when hypocritical Europeans claim that Americans are stupid.More extreme anal sex would only accelerate the decline. Maybe they want to only have anal sex with their boyfriends because they can trust them to be gentle and call it off at any moment it becomes too uncomfortable or painful. I am not a great fan of anal in porn movies, but I agree with the fact that anal is more important in EU than in the USA... think about hottest girls doing anal, one of the greatest was Sandra Romain, an european hottie, as well as Monica Sweetheart (i love the way she fucks!).
