I would not call any of the titles you have listed "classics" in the sense that they are significant films in porn history. It is important to remember that most old porno, like the stuff being made today, isn't that good or memorable. Most porn, old and new, is simply crap, with or without the hype.

Of the films on your first list, I would recommend Peeping Tom , an early Nina Hartley feature with a script by Rinse Dream (Robert McCallum directed it). Jerry Butler does a turn as a compulsive peeper. Good stuff. Of the other 3, I have not seen California Fever , and would pass on the other two films--routine fare at best. The stars of Peeping Tom , besides Nina, include Kim Carson, Tracey Adams, and a young Shanna McCullough--all natural girls (I cannot recall the state of their pubes at the moment). It was made in 1985.

From your second list, beware on the Foxy Lady title; there is a late '70's film with John Leslie by this title, and an '80's Teresa Orlowski vehicle, which is shot on video. The older title has a kidnapping theme, which you might like, based on the comments in your post. Skin on Skin is a disappointing Spinelli film. Jezebel is a Devil in Miss Jones imitation that pales next to the original. A few of the other titles are shot on video, and are pretty forgettable.

It might be helpful for you to tell other posters what films you have seen that you liked; many of the titles you have excised review lines from are very good, and might be preferable to the items you have listed. Also, I should warn you that, although many films were made in the "classic" period (1971-85) that contained forced sex and incest themes and scenes, most of these have been pulled from the current marketplace, given the moral climate we endure in erotica these days.

Shenton , yeah, the review is kind of short, at least I get something on what to expect, if not too much.

Flash , I particularly enjoyed your reviews as well as others in your league who not only write the story/scenes but also on the state of video/audio/extras and also the screen shots. It does help me to decide if I should pick up the movie eg. Hot Rackets .

Lazerus , I will take your recommendation of Peeping Tom and will skip some of those average titles. I have not seen any golden age "classics" yet (I don't like any of the modern hardcore) so I can't say what I like at this time. What I do like is movies that are mainstream-like with situational sex and seduction/teasing. I believe Debbie Does Dallas , 3 A.M. The Time Of Sexuality , Vista Valley P.T.A. and Taboo all have these themes so they are on my confirmed buy list.

What I like:

• mainstream like movies with character development, transitional scenes, outdoor filming for non-sex part as describe in this thread.


• Situational sex


• Seduction/Teasing (like those in Debbie Does Dallas and Taboo)


• Undressing like man taking woman's clothes off


• Women with natural boobs (eg Kay Parker) and hairy pubes is fine


• Incest or forced sex (eg. Vista Valley P.T.A.) is good too

What I will avoid:

• Women with silicone, tattoos and piercings


• Long, long, long, long sex scene


• Sex focus is on lesbians, group and not between one man and one babe (one or two scenes of lesbians/group is fine but no more than that

Question for all :

• Which version is better for Debbie Does Dallas, the NuTech or VCX version?
