We have recently been enjoying some bondage/submission, and I think that a good example of what I'm looking for instructionally is the "Nina Hartley ... Submission 1." I'm concerned, however, that its probably too sexually explicit and would be too much of a turn off for her (screen shots show a man ejaculating onto a woman and that doesn't seem like domination of a male to me). I could be wrong, reviews say that its very light so I don't know... Essentially, I'm looking for sexually explicit instructional films that downplay the visual aspect in exchange for a more clinical approach (but not too cold either). I know I'm looking for a needle in a hay stack and probably wont find exactly what I'm looking for (we may get the Nina Hartley guide and just skip the explicit parts) but I thought that I would ask for advice, suggestions, etc before just settling for something. Thanks in advance as always. [Link] |

If you get any milder, you are having a tea party in white linens on a soft-focus, grassy, daisy-filled meadow, in slow motion. Truly! Even this part was funny and cute, not nasty: |

Browse through their video collections, then come back to ADT to see if any of them have been reviewed here. Of course you should also pick up a copy of the best porno movie ever made: Marie and Jack: A Hardcore Love Story -T.C. |
| darkangel Member 87 Posts 4/03 | Now, to maybe help your answer we are both Goths and love latex and leather and light domination so that's definitely a pluss, I guess I'm just a little hesitant that the nature of the sex would be more toward porn and what would keep a guy interested than what would keep her interested. And quality is probably a must so as not to reinforce her idea that most if not all sexually explicit material is shot on shakey cam in a hotel room, warehouse, etc and be a complete turn-off. Thanks again for your input. |

The first part might be introducing your wife to some gentle porn as a start and then seeking out material that may offer more specific ideas for new activities to add to your exploration. Tony's Marie and Jack is sweet, hot, tender and just gorgeous, I'm biased...M&J are often in my DVD player. :) We've also been watching "Sexual Secrets" from the Alexander Institute, and would highly recommend it as an introduction to adult film/programs (full review on freddyandeddy.com, sorry folks couldn't find one here) the AI have a site www.lovingsex.com Sexual Secrets is a 6hr DVD with six women talking about the kind of sex they like. It has a high quality production feel, warm lighting, good sound, nice music, sets that appear to be real bedrooms,a gym, bathrooms and showers and a rather hot scene in a home laundry. The programs have an unhurried leisurely approach without all the exaggerated moaning and contortions of most mainstream porn. Sexual Secrets features attractive couples having a great time; hot, playful, loving sex. The sex is explicit but I don't recall a focus on penetration shots, I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything that would shock or offend a newcomer to adult material. It's all very beautiful. Yikes, I'm heading into the longest post in history syndrome...hope this of help. :) |

| darkangel Member 87 Posts 4/03 | Again I'd like to point out that my wife is at this time still very much against the idea of porn in general, so what I'm looking for is something more along the sexually explicit educational line (more directed sex rather than just sex scenes, maybe?) that we might be able to learn from. If my wife decides that she can watch sex and enjoy it without being struck by lightning then that's just an added bonus, not my main goal. |

| YogaGrrl self-removed user 757 Posts 12/01 | And seriously, if and when your wife does feel ready to explore visual erotica, I second (or third) the recommendation for Marie and Jack. You can't do better than that. Meanwhile, I haven't yet seen a DVD that combines pure instruction (no explicitness) with very high production values. If you're looking in the BDSM realm, I suspect that's going to be an especially tough order to fulfill. I'll keep on the lookout, though. Meanwhile, Learning the Ropes 4 is still the closest thing I can think of, since it contains no intercourse and is done in a very loving way. It's shot in a living room, not a warehouse, if that helps. Edited by - YogaGrrl on 3/19/2004 10:01:56 AM |
| darkangel Member 87 Posts 4/03 | Thanks for the link, "Sexual Secrets" sounds like a great segue into visual erotica if she's receptive (but right now I don't think she is). I really appreciate your help and advice and from what I've heard of M&J I don't doubt that it is a great film, but that buzzword "Hardcore" in the title puts it immediately out of the running at least for now. Again, maybe in the future after some of the taboos have been erased.Edited by - darkangel on 3/19/2004 10:44:38 AM |

I think this is because the explicit scenes in M&J are well integrated into the overall story, so people don't feel as "slapped in the face" by them. Don't get me wrong, sometimes a slap in the face is just the thing! -T.C. Edited by - TonyC on 3/19/2004 12:19:07 PM |
