I've provided the link to IE7 Microsoft downloads It's #3 on the Popular Downloads list. As for your Add-ons problem, you should first enable everything in Add-ons and then work backwards from there. In other words, see if there is something you don't want that is using a Add-on then you can disable it. To Enable/Disable Add-ons in IE7, click on Tools-> Manage Add-ons-> Enable or Disable Add-ons. Here is a good piece of advice also. It's best not use Third-party Toolbars such as Yahoo, Google etc. They are unnecessary and create problems. A workaround and sound way to protect your computer from malware and still get the convenience of using Google is as follows. 1. Uninstall all of your Toolbars, be careful not to confuse a Yahoo Toolbar with their Messenger installer if you have it-the same goes for any other IM program you may have. 2. Install IE7. 3. On Tools at the bottom near right, click on Menu Bar. File Edit Fav. etc. should appear. 4. You can now chose either method to accomplish the following. On the Menu Bar, click View, or on Tools at bottom, go to Toolbars. 5. Click Links. You should then see several Yahoo links. 6. Using instructions from 4., click on Lock Toolbars. When unchecked it unlocks the toolbar which is what you want. You will then see 4 little vertical dots that resemble a perforation on a piece of paper in several places on the toolbar. 7. Place the cursor in front of the "L" in Links on the dots and you will see a two-way arrow. Drag it where you want it. It may take a little time for you get the hang of dragging things where you want it. You can also drag the others if you're having a problem. Only the right side of the bottom row can be moved, but only a little left and right. 8. Once you get things where you want it, lock the toolbar. I have my Menu Bar and Links on the same row, which is the 2nd/middle row. 9. Go to www.google.com and once there, drag the G icon on the left of the address in the Address Window to the right of "s" in the word Links until you see a vertical black line and release it. It may take a little time to get used to holding the cursor still enough and in the right position before you release it. You now can just click on the icon and it will go to their main page. This can be done with any site and is a simple way to access frequently used sites. By the way, the icons/links can be dragged and placed in any order you choose. Just remember, for it to work, the toolbar must be locked, Links has to be checked, and the vertical black line must be visible before you release the drag. When space runs out on the row, it cascades with a double arrow as the spot to show the rest of the links. If there is one in the part that cascades and you want in on the row, just drag it to the row or vice-versa. 10. Now here's one of the most important parts of this. Go to Trend Micro's site and download and install a program called Trend Protect. Trend Protect It will help to avoid getting malware on your computer. It's totally free and using Google aids in early detection of a dangerous site. Just an added note. Any site that has a sign-in page will always flag yellow once you first log on the site. (red is when you should get out immediately) In most cases this can be ignored. It's there to notify you that the site has elicited some sort of personal info/password. It even flags ADT's first page. 11. Always try to use Google to navigate to a site that isn't in Favorites or Links. The reason is threefold. A) Safety. With Trend Protect installed it will give you a heads-up on sites that are good or bad. B) Typing an address in the Address Window can be potentially dangerous because of typos or a site you're not familiar with. You might possibly be directed to a malicious site. C) Convenience. For example, all of that typing can be reduced by simply clicking on the G icon, then instead of typing www.suchandsuch.com, just type such and such in Google. P.S. Make sure all of Trend Protect's Add-ons are enabled, and it's checked in the Toolbars section as instructed in 4. There will be a tiny down arrow on the right of the Trend Protect Bar. Click it then -> Options -> Content Categories tab. Disable any filtering of adult sites as this will block ADT and other disgusting, filthy pornographic sites.  It's better to disable everything.Once on ADT and other certain trusted sites, click on the Trusted Pages tab and add it. Hope this rectifies the problem. Let me know how it turns out. Good luck! Click on either one of the options. Near the top there is a pull-down window that shows Add-ons Currently Installed, Runs Without Permission, Active X, and if any are disabled, it will show that too. Just click on the down arrow to the right of the pull-down window to show them. Also, I want to make sure that you know I provided the link for IE7 & Trend Protect. They are both in blue in my last post. All you have to do is click on the words in blue. [Link] |

Some webpages might not display correctly. To continue to your home page, click the Home button. To browse using add-ons, close Internet Explorer and then start it again. I'm having a little difficulty trying to figure out exactly where you see this message. (This has been known to wreak havoc on computers, including mine) 2. Installed any other program(s)? 3. Is there any other strange behavior with the computer? 4. Have you tried to use Free Window Registry Repair? This quite possibly will fix the problem. I've remedied a host of problems on friends pc's with that program including my own because they were incorrectly running in a wide variety of ways. Remember to use the backup feature before scanning as a fail-safe. Good programs will have this type of feature to protect your computer in case something is cleaned that may affect a program.
