This is going to sound strange but I think I have some ants squatting in my computer keyboard. Every so often one pops up from between some of the keys and scurries off either over the keyboard or, even more annoying, over my fingers. Any recommended ways to deal with this? What should I do, what should I not do?
P.S. They are those little black ants about half the size of mouse turds.

Throw it in your dishwasher and allow it to air dry. Read a book in the time it takes.

I wouldn't use bug spray on my keyboard even if it wouldn't ruin it. I'd be too worried about getting poison on my hands and subsequently, in my mouth. But then, I have kind of a phobia of chemicals. I figure if it kills bugs, it might kill me too.

Could you train them to carry out the crumbs?

Try leaving your KB in the freezer overnight then remove a few keys on one of the edges and shake out your frozen ants.

Serve them with an eviction notice, if they don't leave call the sheriff's office.

Sounds like foraging carpenter ants. You need to wipe down your keyboard with plastic safe cleaning agent. The ants are not squatting. They are following the ant trail that leads them past the keyboard. You need to clean around the desk as well. Mop your floors while you are at it.

Take the keyboard apart and look for them. Use the vacuum cleaner to suck them up if you see any.

I stand by my window to smoke (trying to keep from stinking up the whole place). I went to the window the other day, opened the curtains and there was a spider half the size of my fucking nose about 5 inches in front of me! I thought I was gonna die!
I went and got the vacuum cleaner and sucked his ass right off of there. Fucking spiders!

Well, I'm an arachnophobe. It ain't rational. Besides, I don't know what kind of spider it was and I didn't want to waste enough time to try and find out in case he decided to take off. and crawl under my bed or something. I'd never be able to sleep in there knowing that fucker was there somewhere.

^^^Reminds me of the time I was doing a land navigation course in an arid area in the middle of nowhere. I walked between two trees 10 feet apart connected by the biggest spiderweb I have ever scene. I was looking down at the time so I didn't notice until I hit the hand sized spider with my face. I totally freak out trying to get the thick webbing off of me. I have no idea what kind spider it was but is was silvery green and the body was the size of a Brazilian nut.

She might be laying eggs and making babies in the vacuum cleaner bag right now. Better toss it out! Be careful!
About the ants in the keyboard - I'm sure you've got more ants crawling around. Get Raid for baseboards and wherever you see them and some bait "traps" too!

That would be a halfway tempting idea just to see the looks on all the dog owner's faces when I take it for a walk in the park.

It's a Dyson. I let the thing run for a few minutes after I sucked it up. I doubt it survived. But I soak the whole air chamber about once every month or so. I'm sure I probably emptied it within a day or two.
