Therefore the companies are looking for alternative audience that want more hard core stuff. It's no longer profitable to create stars. I have some old Ginger Lynn video tapes from the 80s. Every so often, I dust it off. It's so tame by today's fare -- anal was more discreet (not in your face). There's no blow-bang, no slapping, spitting, etc.

Personally, I noticed a change when I first started watching Rocco and Buttman series scenes, around 1994 or so.

The term "Normal sex" conjures up images of "the mating practices of the African wildebeest" in my mind. You can see normal sex on any Animal Kingdom-type special of the week. Just substitute the animals for humans. Same difference.

"Normal" people have boring sex. That's why so many people turn to porn for fantasy. They want to see things you can't do with the real girl next door. Come on now. Do you really think "normal sex" would keep you interested for more than a few weeks? Even the more hardcore stuff has a hard time holding interest. You know why? Because it really isn't normalcy that's missing from porn. It's real chemistry and intimacy. You can't fake that. Maybe I'm confused but the so called 'Normal Sex' really isn't want porn is about. I can have normal sex at home just like everyone else but if I want to see a fantasy or an unrealistic interpretation of what a girl will do I watch porn. You shouldn't get the realities confused, after all wouldn't it get tired and boring continually watching the same scenes following the same plots each time.
