Onlyfans is the current cash cow for models. Its not only paying a lot because (outside of OF cut the money all goes to the performers) but due to the "Covid situation" the porn industry has been completely stopped, releasing only vaulted stuff for a while and even now it seem to run half speed. Basically its very sustainable for models, so much that some have decided to shoot exclusively for OF.

But when it comes to us consumers, its another story. Normally what i would do is keep a subscription to a big website, the likes of Brazzers/NA for variety, and take a month at some other place, then next month ill go sub to another one, and obviously in the process being able to download the back catalog. Therefore my 30ish $ nailed me tons of porn.

But some girls i enjoy have stopped shooting for the big companies, or don't do it often. Now you have to sub to her onlyfans, with a double pay gate if i can say. Pay for the subscription, then pay each scene individually, wich is not cheap. While before i paid 30$ for a month , with acces to all the scenes released in the past, now its (thanksfully most pornstars keep the entry fee low) around 5/10$ for acces, then its 20/30$ for each scenes. It rack up REALLY fast. Its impossible for me to sub to all the girls i like, even less to buy more than a few scenes a month. Full disclaimer i am not rich, and some of my money goes to other hobbies, but i could usually put 60$ or so on porn per month. Now this nail me barely 2 scenes if you count the entry fee.

So my question is, do you think this model will keep blooming and porn will become just that? Or do you think eventually as every pornstars want her piece of the cake, it will implode as consumers simply won't be able to afford all these seperate OF. Remember in the 2000s usually if you subbed to a pornstar personal site, you got acces to a network with multiple other pornstars and sometimes a "variety" site as well. Plus you had acces to the back catalog too.

Oh and thanksfully due to some nice peoples i was told a way to download OF content, so at least i don't feel as bad now when i buy a scene, as before i had to endure OF terrible streaming quality.
