I like Platinum X, I've got a lot of their stuff, they always do good gonzo along with their sister company Red Light District. What makes you think they are dead? They don't seem to have up dated their coming soon list, but what evidence is there that they are sinking?
I was never a fan of RLD/PX to begin with, too many big egos stuffed together and movies not worth getting. I do hope The Candy Shop stays alives and gives us more Alone in the Dark and Take It Black.
Hmmm they weren't on the website when I last looked. I guess they must be updating their website as someone suggested. I find Evil empire to be the best when it comes to advertising forthcoming releases and putting up video clips etc. As I've said before it's just a big old porn merry-go-round, where it stops and who gets off nobody knows.
Twiki was quite phallic in nature wasn't he, rather like an enormous shiny gold dildo. I used to have a thing for Princess what's-her-name the leader of the Draconians. What was that actress' name again, she'd have made a good pornstar!
Having just bought a couple of RLD/Platinum X's latest releases I can only say how shocked I was by the ABSOLUTE POOR QUALITY of most of these titles, bad make-up, poor female talent coupled with degenerate male talent. Plus the feeling of every scene being shot by somebody different just gave the feeling that the film was cobbled together to give a VERY POOR QUALITY END PRODUCT with no thought gone into it at all. I won't be buying from them again it is fair to say as this stuff wasn't even generic. I feel bloody robbed!!
I would say that the best output right now is from the following studios: 1) Digital Sin/New Sensations 2) Evil Angel 3) Vouyer Media 4) Combat Zone 5) Anabolic/Diabolic
What's up with all the haters??? RLD/PXP is the greatest place I've ever worked! There is complete camaraderie, we are like a family, we eat together, we spend holidays together! Look, Jake and Manuel went to Evil because it was the next step for them, they can afford to make their own movies and they have more money which equals more elaborate movies. I think Manuel is an artist, he does the coolest stuff out there!!! Just cause the elders move on and new people come in might be refreshing. I hope the guy who thought our quality was bad was referring to a few directors we had for a minute. We have some of the best camera work out there. Why doesn't everyone stop ragging on RLD/PXP. Some of those other directors left a long time ago and they know why they left. Brandon hated it there, he didn't like moving into the future. He was/is bitter and would bash the company while still there. All of the girls I've talk to all say they love working for RLD/PXP because of the family atmosphere!! I think we're worlds ahead of some of the companies mentioned. Technically alone! I say move on, ingrates and lets have people who love what they do!!
PXP will be just fine. Yes they've had a shakeup ,with a few directors moving on, but that happens all the time, and it's a probably healthy thing. Mark Wood is no slouch in the directing department, and Claudio Maroney (with Kristie Love assisting) is starting to get the hang of things as well. And Rico Strong has already put out some badass stuff - that scene with Natasha Nice (forget the movie) was amazing.
As far as posting new "Coming Soon" titles - they do it on a month-by-month basis - usually in the first week of every month. As titles street, they roll off the list, so it looks like there are fewer and fewer titles in the pipeline as the month progresses (you can tell I spend a LOT of time browsing the 'net!).
I think RLD/PX trivial politics needs to end. Brandon iron,Jewel etc etc moved on and so do plenty of other directors from various companies. Its nothing new to me. I think its unprofessional to slag and talk about other companies on here. Especially If your working within a company or in the industry. Business is business. I still like RLD/PX.

It's a documented fact that PXP has had webmater issues. True changes a plenty are going on with PXP, but I think they are far from done.
it's real sweet of kristie to bash Brandon on behalf of who's signing her checks. it's also nice to see that you are the voice for 'moving into the future' in XXX. chipping away at established legends like Brandon will do you real good once your welcome has worn at RLD/PXP. lates, Von S.

Porn is an incredibly corrupt business. Plain and simple. You're nobody until somebody's fucked you over ... and usually more than once, or twice. That's a blanket statement, but it's the recurring theme I hear ... Not making any specific comments about a situation I've only heard one side of, but having heard that same side from so many different directors who once worked for RLD/PXP, it's difficult not to connect the dots.
I did see a killer scene shot by Francesca Le for PXP this week, with Adrianna Nicole, Annette Schwarz and Lorelei Lee ... but I'm pretty sure that's a for-hire situation.
I fully agree. Brandon for sure was the best director PXP ever had. I hope he will be hired from another good company soon. I would love to see him to work for Jules Jordan because he would be in a perfect line with the directors there. If Jules would hire him he could be a big value and enrichment for his company.

I still say Stefano was the best thing to happen to PXP, from there it went downhill. Brandon is a solid shooter and solid performer, but his stuff was too rough and degrading for my taste. Tat fuckin foot on the head while you screw a girl, what kinda shit was that?
That's not just Brandon. I've seen that all over the place. I'm not really sure where it made it's first appearance. I agree...it's goofy (the foot on the head, I mean).
I think, as far as rough sex goes, Brandon does it as well or better than virtually anyone else. But he has range. He's not just all out rough in every single performance. I've seen him be downright gentle. I think he tries to adapt to what the girl's limits are.

I'm sure Brandon will find a home pretty soon. But, stylistically, I don't think he would fit in very well with Jules.
I hope Brandon is hugely successful with his web ventures. He's a genuinely nice guy and one of the hardest working folks in the business. From what I can tell he's got a very loyal fanbase and that should pan out for him.
If I were in his shoes and the web stuff was going well I'd drop the whole DVD thing and focus purely on the web. Then you cut out the distributor and lots of other hands taking from the pie.

It would be interesting to see some sort of side by side analysis of the two business models, if that sort of thing were available.
You could be right though. Ultimately, he might very well be better off sticking with the web stuff.
The key is that he's hooked up with the right web people. IF he is and they aren't greedy he could do very well with the content he shoots.

I don't know about you, but I like my Nacho with cheese chips and smoked chicken. That said, if you theory is true, that give a whole new meening to "Put your foot in it" in the kitchen.
guys , did you see the ( coming soon ) list on RLD and PX , i checked all the box covers and i really found them suck , i can't say that i'm looking for any one of them , it seems that RLD and PX have choosen march to be ( the month of lousy movies )
I agree about Brandon being flexible with how rough he is. I know that he has a reputation for getting rough, but in the movies that I've seen him in, he's been fine. And he's always seemed nice to me on the board and in e-mails.
