I was wondering if the adult industry is interested in DVD testing. When you look at sites like e.g. http://www.raincoatreviews.com/problemdvds_technical.shtml you will notice that a lot of people have problems with adult DVDs.
Wouldn't it be nice if the adult industry could benifit from DVD testing? It would make all the users out there a lot more satisfied with their high quality DVD that works.

Tim Smeulders,

Welcome to the forum.

From what I've read posted in these forums, it seems that it depends a lot on the replicator company that produces the DVD. Some of the studios have gone through more that one replicator until they find one that does a good job, and those same studios will actively replace defective discs for customers. So if they have a bad replicator, it is costing them money and they work to correct it.

What I ment to say is not only replicator related. Maybe it would be a solution to let the DVDs be tested by an independent DVD-testing company that is specialized in these sort of things. A replication error is not the only problem that could occur. There is also the compatibility issue. If the disc will play on all the stand-alone DVD players out there. And there are also human errors that could occur during authoring of the discs. Video or audio distortions due to bad compression could also be an issue. Lots of things can go wrong on a DVD disc.
E.g. PMTC in Belgium is such a company that is specialized in such DVD-testing.
So, maybe such a company could help out with all the complaints conserning DVD titles.
