For some reason, the non-US girls usually have only a first name like most Euro porn girls used to, and just like 10 years ago US reviewers would sum up the Euro talent with something like "... and a couple of Euro sluts", you see a similar attitude towards Latin American girls. Like "her name is, well, who cares, she don't speak proper English anyway".

TT Boy's "interviews" BTS in his Latin titles are typical, he asks them the same questions in (bad) Spanish over and over, they respond in Portuguese, he doesn't get the answer or only half of it, that's not the way to get to know the talent. US directors shooting in Latin America should at least get a competent translator. Even Max Hardcore had the sense to do that.

Some Brazilian girls have a degree of local fame, especially the ones of the label "Brazileirinhas", my favourite is Regininha Torres.

Update: JAZZ DURO points out that the spelling should be "Brasilerinhas" (see his post below). So they may still be in business (haven't checked yet).

I'm afraid that company has ceased its activities though, they used to have a huge catalogue with loads of hot babes, Regininha alone had like 20 titles to her credit, now all I can find are a very few repackaged dvds with Spanish/Spanglish titles like "Hot Latinas Calientes" and "Bellezas Ardientes". All her original titles are (as is to be expected) in Portuguese.

Brasileirinhas

Their straight video lines are called 'Ipanema Girls', 'Carnaval/Carnival' (spelling apparently isn't their strong suit either), and simply 'Straight'. The 'Straight' catalogue also contains some repackaged versions of US titles, including one with Taylor Rain. They have separate lines for mature, rough sex/rape fantasies, trannies, gay etc.

Their old website was much more detailed with screenshots etc., and carried many more titles. As you can see only vol. 20-31 of Ipanema Girls are listed now, there used to be many more (obviously at least vol. 1-19, but I think even more). And they had many feature titles as well (a very few of which are now listed under 'Straight'. A few recognizable names (i.e. of girls that regularly work under the same name) listed here are: Sheila Rio, Sheila Fischer, Isis, Aretuza, Carlinha, and Chris Bel, Dyane Galisteu. And Regininha or "All Blondes" is almost certainly Regininha Torres - who once appeared in a Buttman title too, I suddenly remember, and I think I read that she worked for Joey Silvera once.

Brasileirinhas used to be affiliated with the Mr Dog label which produced bestiality material (they use a number of the same girls e.g. Sacha/Sasha Pequena, Luma and Lua, some of whom have also appeared in TT Boy's Latin titles), but they seem not to be connected anymore.
