You buy a DVD. There are usually "Behind the Scenes" clips in the extras menu. These
clips are typically just tame (boring) stuff like interviews. I'm looking to find out if there
is a way to buy "fly-on-the-wall" raw footage from porn shoots, as if you were on the
set that day.
Maybe one of you good folks in the industry can educate me on the process, but from
what I understand, most porn shoots follow the same script.
1) Shoot solo stills.
2) Shoot stills in the same sucking and fucking positions you'll see in the movie.
3) Shoot the scene.
I've seen this raw footage a couple of times, and I find it fascinating. Just watching
porn stars in their element is intriguing to me. The chick walks in, casually takes a
mouthful of cock for the stills, engages in smalltalk with the crew, etc. Seemingly no
different than any other job. I love that stuff.
I assume the cameraman for the actual scene also has the camera rolling for the BTS
stuff. I've also seen two cameramen... a second camera shooting the first cameraman
shooting, though I assume that's quite rare. Maybe for a documentary or something.
Sorry for rambling. Anyway, I am astounded how difficult it is to buy stuff like this. I
can't GIVE my money away. It's easy enough to find out what company owns the rights
to a film, and who directed them. I have tweeted to directors and companies, respectfully
asking that they DM me so I can ask them a question privately. I have also put my email
address right in a tweet, asking them to please get back to me. Zero responses.
Is there some trick to acquiring unreleased BTS footage/pics, or am I just shit out of luck.
