I spent several hours on the phone with cingular/at&t tech support to try to get it to work. The only thing I haven't tried yet is a NEW sim card in the phone (other sim cards I had didn't solve the problem). The phone itself seems to work but it drops calls. anybody having similar problems? any suggestions other than sending it back? The phone# itself still assumes it has the old phone (nokia) assigned to it. Does this matter? or will I have to have the # updated to reflect the new phone? Please help!!!!!! thanks [Link] |

Your calls are getting dropped because the carrier thinks you have a rogue phone on their network (which, technically, you do, until you get the ESN assigned.) Once the ESN is assigned, the old phone will stop working and start exhibiting the same issues. |
