What do you do, when it's been a while since you've had sex?...Not just the self pleasure variety.
I usually like to be in a relationship, but the way my life is right now, I don't end up getting out to many social events. I work 4 - 10 hour days and watch kids on the other 3 days, with no nights to go out. I'm not sure that if I could go out, that I would just want to be meeting women in bars.

I hear you, handsome, I'm kind of where you are as far as work taking up almost all my free time right now, but these things are temporary (hopefully!) I meet a lot of men thru my work, but just not the right ones I guess, or maybe I'm just getting pickier. I suppose, until you find the one that's "right", it's a matter of loneliness to bullshit tolerance ratio. Relationships need so much care & feeding that I really can't have one right now, & that's O.K. with me.
As far as sex goes, yeah, it's usually better with someone else, LOL. But then, you have to deal with any baggage that might accompany that. I don't want to sleep with some guy just because I'm horny, 'cause if all I wanted was a dick, hell I've got a drawer full of those LOL!
So, Fuerte, maybe you're more used to being in a relationship, and this is something new to you? I'm sure you'll meet someone when your circumstances change (but never when you're looking), so if I were you, I'd just enjoy being single. I know this is not much help - but if you really don't have any free time to get out, there's not much you can do right now, but look forward to the day when you can. Just remember..U R NOT ALONE..

Mastrabate more...

Don't know if it helps at all, but it's always been that as soon as I become truly confortable and happy w/ being single again...I'd meet someone I'd be intersted in being with. lol
So maybe this is the universes way of saying, "hey! enjouy yourself for awhile, when your ready, we'll send someone you way"
Becuz your right, typiclly, long term relationships are not found in a bar and no relationship cannot survive for long w/out attention and time.

Patience friend..and good luck..

Thanks for the awesome replies. I does seem like you tend to meet someone when you least expect it.

"loneliness to bullshit tolerance ratio" - That's great. lol. I really haven't had time to be lonely, as silly as that sounds. I was just looking back over the past 12 mos. and thought "WoW, it's been a long time." I think it was Jan. Hopefully my post didn't sound too pathetic. Because, really, it's been a pretty good year. I DO have good wrist strength now.

I was also wondering if a lot of folks here, were going to sex conventions, like the Erotica LA 2000 I saw mentioned. I don't think we have anything like that here in the midwest. How do you find out about things like that?

I must be the exception to the "bar" rule.

November 12, 1985. The NCO/EM club, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. The day I met my wife to be. A day that shall live in infamy.

All joking aside, I knew from the first dance that I wanted to be with her the rest of my life. I just "knew" she was the one.

How did you know she wanted to be with you? Was it just the same feeling for you both?

Eesh, that is such a hard question to answer. Pardon me for attempting it, I know you asked Emahevul really.

It really was, for me anyway, one of those, just "this is it, and I know it" feelings. It was excited and terrified all at the same time and immediatly started thinking in eventualitys...when we're living together, when we're married

It was truly nothing I had ever experienced before, and I think that was more than anything how I knew.

I think my S.O felt the same as well, I cannot speak for him, but he seemed to be experiencing much the same. I guess that's why we were engaged 2 months after we met, lol.

Hopefully, this isn't too much of a neg.

I think my ex wife and I felt that way. Then we got married and we were still totally in love. It's too bad she loved money more. I think we're still more in love than either will admit.

The feeling that this person is the one isn't a guarantee that the marriage will work. It still takes a lot of work, patience and love. As much as I love my wife, if she became a drug addict who didn't want help (for instance), it would eventually ruin our marriage.

I think you said it Fuerte... even though things didn't work out, you guys are still in love with each other. There's a bond that isn't easily broken.

2DVD, I can't speak for how my wife felt. Actually, she probably thought I was an idiot. I could go into more detail, but suffice it to say, when we met, I was drunk, which is the standard case for a single young soldier, LOL, and I pursued her for a month, before she would consent to a date.

Not being able to immediately jump into the sack probably sealed our fates. It is far too easy to just have sex, and then deal with the consequences, especially when as a young couple, but not be mature enough to really be able to deal with those consequences.

And last but not least, marriage takes an absolutely incredible amount of work, just as Oneloa said, and that there are no guarantees. Being honest here, my wife and I did experience troubles, and we were separated for almost 3 years, and damned near divorced. We have now been back together for almost 7 years. Needless to say, a marriage takes work, work and more work, but it is worth it.

Emahevul - I love hearing happy endings like that! To be seperated for years... wow... that's a long time and then be able to reconcile and make it. You're very fortunate. Congrats!
