Don't get me wrong, I really dig all the scenes she's done for ArchAngel, but when her contract was announced back in October there was a lot more Jada content promised:MimeFreak later clarified in his thread that not all the scenes would be anal, but he didn't dispute the 30-40 scene estimate. According to IAFD, Jada has shot 13 scenes for ArchAngel in the eight months she's been under contract. The new Anal Warriors will bring the count up to 14 and we know there's an unreleased scene she shot with AJ Applegate and Prince. That'll bring the count up to 16. 16/8 = about 2 scenes a month. If this rate keeps up we're looking at 24 scenes for the duration of her contract. In 2014 when she was a free agent working for other companies, Jada released at the least 34 scenes. So now there are fewer Jada scenes produced and because of ArchAngel's nonexistent web presence those fewer scenes are harder to come by for casual consumers. I don't think this has done Jada any favors in regards to keeping her in the minds of the fans. I want to reiterate that I enjoy ArchAngel's content and make the effort to go out and buy their DVDs. But objectively I think Jada's case lends further credence to the argument that contracts are not a net positive for gonzo peformers' careers. These days the website is where to focus all your fans and customers. Blacked.com has landed on a formula that a lot of companies should be following if they didn't originate it themselves already. The website has to be slick as shit and show people "we are the best...period!" If it isn't doing that then what's the point?!?!? I mean these guys must have cash as long as train smoke. They signed two of the industries top performers, but what has happened since then? And I am fully with you on their overuse of Prince. I'm tired of seeing him, his knee brace and his boots. I bought the Booty Movie expecting it to blow the doors off and I was selling it two days later! I might be fooled with the cast for the Booty Movie 2 and purchase that, but I hope that I don't sell it two days later as well. Makes no sense. As far as Jada's contract goes, at least it's going slightly better than Amy Ried's 3rd degree contract some years ago, but not by much :x I think if you're going to contract a "veteran" star you need to come up with something new and even slightly original, just putting out regular scenes(of which there already are 100s of similar and better scenes with Jada available from other studios) isn't going to cut it. I've seen maybe 2 of her contract scenes and haven't really been all that impressed. [Link] |
