I see some people here mentioning that Fivestardvd.com has blocked boxcovers due to the 2257 regs, and I see them blocked here too.

Just for the hell of it, I looked up www.jadedvideo.com and they still do have both front and back boxcovers available to view.

I was surprised.

Is Jaded sticking their neck out?


I saw this there too,

I know there has been lots of discussion here on the 2257 stuff, but it is a little beyond me. :) Does the paragraph I copy and pasted above relate to what is going on now, or is it out of date and not relevant at all?

The 'prior to July 3, 1995' would be correct, I don't know about the rest.

Don't know for sure about the sites outside of the U.S. , but as I understand it, this is U.S. legislation, therefore only affecting the U.S.

I went to http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/whois/index.jhtml

and plugged in jadedvideo.com .

There is a lot of info returned, but to me it looks like it is in the U.S. "IP Location: US(UNITED STATES)"

More digging there and:
Address: Box 4774
City: Mission Viejo
StateProv: CA
PostalCode: 92690
Country: US

So I'm thinking that Jaded is in the U.S. :)


I'm hoping somebody in the know can tell us if Jaded is in violation of the new regs.
