I've let the appropriate department know to contact DivX. There was an issue because the media format of the movie was different than our previous movies. | Babbit Member 17 Posts 2/00 | Posted - Jun 11 2008 : 9:22AM Of all the Evil Angel affiliate directors, Jay Sin's titles are my most eagerly anticipated (and whose delays are most noticeable) and it is inexcusable that the Divx and VOD versions take three weeks or longer to be released (Deep Anal Abyss was released May 21). We've had this discussion before regarding the delays, and it seems that there is a reluctance on EA's part to send Divx the tapes/files ahead of time so the link can be ready on the official release date. Either there is a security concern of the product getting leaked before the release date, or there is a financial incentive to have the Divx/VOD unavailable for a period of time so the DVDs have a better chance of selling. If it is one of these reasons, it would be nice to know rather than hearing it was just because of someone being too busy, or worse, incompetent. That being said, I will continue to support EA... We charge more money for a DivX download until the DVD is released. There were two movies that had issues - he's a new director for the Evil Angel portion of the company, so bugs are being worked out. Even for a director that may be well established at Evil Angel, sometimes things happen if something gets switched up (a new computer may not have the appropriate software upgrades, a video drive may go bad in the middle of project). Things happen, and of course it sucks when it's something you were looking forward to seeing, but I can assure you it's not because people weren't working on the problem. DivX and other VOD type companies are independent companies, and once the movie leaves our hands to them, we have no power other than to ask repeatedly when the download will be available. [Link] |

I hadn't even noticed that Jay hadn't been given a dedicated spot on our homepage DivX area since his switch from Buttman Magazine Choice to the main Evil Angel line. That was an oversight and will be corrected. This is a perfect example of why I'm at a place like ADT - to get constructive feedback. A couple days ago, other than the Divx thing, I couldn't understand what you were talking about when you were saying we weren't giving Jay support.
