That was a good philosophical exchange in my opinion of boundaries perceived or not. We are edging ever closer to just having AI girlfriends like Ryan Gosling in "Blade Runner 2049" so I can see both sides. Also we may be overthinking. I don't know how everyone feels but I hate it when someone, usually a clerk at a store, calls me "Boss" or "Buddy". It's different but along the same lines.
^ Thanks, I appreciate that because I'm the other twitter user.😅 Of course Jenna had to spoil it a bit in the end by saying I should stop attempting to explain to her how she should interact with her fans even though that was clearly not what I was doing. She seems unwilling to understand the other side and is adamant she's right and that's that.
It's obviously her prerogative on where she elects to draw boundaries, but pretty much anyone in the adult industry (or even adult-adjacent jobs like a bartender, server at Hooters, exotic dancers, etc.) throw around the term "sweetie" with no qualms to fans/paying customers. So to have someone with one the most insanely hardcore resumes in porn (gangbangs, bukkakes, etc.) redrawing lines so dramatically is noteworthy. Since her 'retirement' she has gone on to get several degrees and professional accreditations, is still milking fans for $$ on OF (while no longer actually performing), and telling her simps off for using seemingly benign terms of endearment. It's a boss move. She owns her past, seems proud of her new credentials and isn't taking any sh*t from anyone (including her fans). That's how you come out of porn with power. Many (most?) former performers fade into obscurity, hide their past, work past their prime, lose their looks, get into trouble, etc. She's holding her head high, looks amazing, wears her porn legend status on her sleeve and isn't getting pushed around. Love that she's still in the public eye and setting her own limits (from one end of the spectrum to the other).
^ Damn, I never would've expected to see news like this about Jenna of all people. Just goes to show we never know what someone is going through and how badly that can affect someone, no matter how great their life may seem from the outside and how well put together they seem. All my best wishes to her.
I saw the whole instagram story with Jenna Haze. It's so devastating and disturbing. She has mentioned her two previous relationships have gone bad. I'm just worry about her mental health and well being.
