I had 15 nominations and was hoping to take home at least one..(especially Best New Company or Best IR Release for Sexual Blacktivity) :-( I worked really hard this last year trying to balance feature dancing, shooting for myself, my website. doing signings AND directing/producing and starring in my own Jen X Studios movies...(and remember I don't have a publicist, assistant or agent/manager to help me)... I kind of feel like all my time, $$$$$$ & effort went to waste... Sigh.... oh well... I know you can't win them all but it seems like some people/companies got severely overlooked this year: Me, Joanna Angel (18 noms and not one!?!), Kristina Rose (um hello she had a HUGE year!?!), etc etc BUT I was pleased to see Bobbi Star (YAY!!!!) & Tori Black get love as well as Lexi Belle and Teagan, [Link]

Now, since humans are the ones doing the voting, all awards are naturally subject to human error. Just look at the history of the Academy Awards for proof. Clark Gable didn't win Best Actor for his role as Rhett Butler in Gone With The Wind. Go figure. All that really matters is that your fans know you're the best, we support you, and it shows in the fact that your movies sell/rent the best. That - and not a stupid hunk of glass/metal - is real power and success. Hopefully that helps. Keep up the good work! [Link]

Stanley Kubrick never won an acadamy award, and is considered a film god by just about every film fan. There are many directors who won the academy award who are forgotten over time. Every porn fan knows you are a porn godess because your body of work speaks for itself, not because of how many awards you won (I honestly don't even know what awards you have), and many years from now you will be remembered more so than most other pornstars. It seems like I remember seeing a transcript of an interview with her once where she said that she's 4 feet and 11 and 3/4 inches tall, and she was counting every quarter inch that she could. I never have been known for great hand-eye coordination or steady hands, and when I have been carrying a bag and wearing a backpack from my college days all day, and am in the presence of my favorite porn girl, my clumsy, unsteady hands only get worse. Maybe it would have been better if I had used the viewfinder, so that my face could help to hold the camera more steady, but then I would have gotten nose prints all over the LCD screen. Also, I found the auto-focus on my fairly new point-and-shoot camera to be fairly slow at times. At least for in a convention with lots of motion in the background. And I would take 1 bad photo and the time before it was ready to take another, hopefully better photo could be agonizing. Sometimes I can take a pic and it's ready to take another one immediately, and other times it takes it time to write to the card before I can take another. Perhaps if I had just re-sized the whole pictures without doing any cropping, the greater size reduction to Jenna would have helped to smooth out the blurriness. But cropping and manually resizing in Paint did wonders for that one of her face in landscape orientation, and I thought I'd try that with others. [Link]
