Years later a producer was on here at ADT saying that he'd like to shoot girls as soon as they turn 18 so they should contact him. I brought up the documentary I saw, and he went away and checked with whoever and came back here a couple of days later and said "please don't contact me if you aren't yet 18". Both cases were in California, so maybe it's legal in other states, I can't say. [Link] |

I'm not sure CA v. Freeman addresses that specifically. In other words, whatever legal advice these producers were getting was probably based on some other law than that. I don't see why there would be anything wrong with an agent going up to a 17 year-old girl and saying, "Hey, here's my very generic, very appropriate, G-rated business card that identifies me as a 'model recruiter' in no specific segment of the industry. For example, Victoria's Secret, or any number of other companies whose models pose mostly in lingerie, or other scant attire. Most of these companies also don't use models under the age 18, though I'm sure they likely recruit them before then. Kate Upton, for instance, had to wait until she was 18 before she could pose naked covered in body paint for Sports Illustrated, even though she had been modeling since she was a teenager. There's also the possibility of things like late-night cable TV movies, music videos, etc. Also, adult work isn't just limited to hardcore porn. Girls are much more likely to be more open to the idea of just posing nude, for example. So even if a girl is approached with the prospect of doing adult work once she reaches the age of 18, that doesn't necessarily mean that she thinks she's being asked to start letting men with 12-inch dicks gangbang her in her ass on her 18th birthday. But then, it also doesn't mean that she'd be opposed to it either. [Link] |

I am sure most porn talent agents have over the years gotten visits from minors interested in doing porn and if any of them were smart then they turned the young lady away explaining that the legal age for doing porn is 18 and that the agent doesn't want to see or talk to the young lady before she is at least 18. This is not the same thing as an agent walking down the street and seeing a young woman who looks 18 but is in fact 17 and starting a conversation where possible work could be procured once said minor is of legal age. As for this interview, it's the same typical boring cliche questions that porn girls get asked in every interview. As I said earlier in the thread, I actually met Jessie Rogers in person when she was still performing, and the questions that I asked her were much more interesting than the ones this guy was asking.
