Joint Venture was a feature film directed by Gerard Domiano in the 70s. I'm not sure of the exact year. Vanessa Del Rio was in it, though I'm not sure if she was the star. I saw this film in a theater and I remember seeing it somewhere on VHS under the title: Sexual Olympics. It featured various sexual contests, cocksucking, etc. I remember that Vanessa was awesome in the cocksucking competition LOL. Anyway, I am a Vanessa Del Rio fanatic and I'd like to know if this film has ever been put on DVD or if it is available for download anywhere. I'm new here and I am enjoying the forum. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I can't find it on a standalone DVD, but they have it as part of this ABA Damiano Triple Feature.
I've never seen this, but will definitely check it out.

It was released by Classic X, IIRC, on DVD, which now appears to be out of print. I can't verify that is the correct title at the moment since that DVD is behind a pile of stuff in a temporary location at the moment.

Thanks for the help. Especially to gore gore girls for the link. I have looked for this vid for years and had just about given up. I think Damiano was the greatest porn director ever. Deep throat, Devil in Miss Jones, Satisfiers of Alpha Blue, Never So Deep are some of my favorites. I think he took porn to the level of art. Thanks again. I'm ordering that DVD today !

^ You're welcome! If you haven't seen Odyssey (which is included on that triple feature), you're in for a treat. The first segment in particular is great. I suspect the quality of that disc will not be all that good - Wildside released a beautiful copy some time ago but then closed down and now it's OOP and quite pricey. You can still buy copies though..

I saw Odyssey in a theater one time. Those were the days ! ( my age is showing) You've never seen Vanessa, Annette Haven , etc. if you've never seen them on the big screen. Back then they really were Porn "Stars ".

Has anyone else seen MEMORIES WITHIN MISS AGGIE, a Damiano flick from 1974? A friend of mine recently sent me a copy and it somehow drew me in with its cold environs and a main female character played by different performers for the sex scenes---tb

^ A long time ago, yes. It's based on a William Faulkner short story called "A Rose for Emily." I remember I found the sex scenes to be quite effective in their bizarreness, but felt the narrative didn't really contextualize or set them off appropriately...almost as if it were two films. I should watch again soon. I have been meaning to write about the use of Southern Gothic in porn for ages - this is a weird one, in that it moves the story from Mississippi to upstate New York, or maybe Connecticut?

Looks like Damiano stuck with some of those DEVIL IN MISS JONES exteriors for MISS AGGIE. Maybe the interiors, too; I haven't compared the films very closely. In a director's commentary, I seem to remember Damiano talking about filming DIMJ at some farmhouse property that had belonged to Harry Reems at the time?
I love MISS AGGIE until that major tone shift in the twist ending but I can see why Damiano the storyteller might have wanted the film to head in that direction---tb

^ Well, the ending is from the short story, but yes it is very like Damiano to choose such a dark tale to adapt.
