^I suspect the reason is that there is no official news that she passed away. They could tag her as a rumour butwhy bother doing that. If someone with reliable news about her status was to contact IAFD then I'm sure they would add that info to her profile. Many people have written about her passing but no one as yet found reliable evidence of it.

Say for example, that the family didn't approve of her doing porn (or the people who watch it), the last thing they're going to be concerned with is satisfying the morbid curiosity of a bunch of (in their eyes) lowlives intent on whacking off to their loved one.Who exactly? A dedicated porn fan...? YOU are in as good of a position as anyone, are you going to front the time and the money?
Hey your're right! That was easy! Quick someone call her parents and tell them "hi we have a tread going at ADT and it's saying your daughter has passed away. Can you please confirm or deny this?" Hell get me the number I'll call. Edited by - thedude008 on 6/10/2011 5:17:16 PM Edited by - thedude008 on 6/10/2011 5:17:49 PM
Hi Dude. All I was suggesting was this rumour as to whether Judy had passed away or not has been going on since at least July last year (see the start of the thread) and shouldn't steps be taken now as to confirm or deny, hopefully to deny, these rumours. But I don't think I would go about it in the way you suggest. If it could be found out where she alledgedly died there would be official records such as a death record. Instead of looking at Facebook pages. I don't know the full circumstances surrounding her alledged death but as someone who has traced their family tree in the UK I dealt with Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates at nearly very turn. I'm not sure if the same system applies in the States.
Well, Judy is (was?) Canadian, so I imagine that the record-keeping there would be very similar to that of the UK. The trouble is how to search for her, since we don't know her name.
I don't think it's a good idea to keep trying to find out if Judy is alive or has passed away. For all we know she may have wanted to be left in alone and has moved onto another phase of her life. I'm assuming somebody more intimately involved with her life will perhaps give us more information eventually. I'd like to think we should wait until a more definitive answer comes our way. I met Judy once at an old CES show and she was a really a sweet girl.
I can't believe this thread is still going when it couldn't be more obvious that this is not a rumor. She died last July, and you really don't need iafd or AVN to tell you it's true. It is clearly true!
Well believe it! And tell me how you know it's clearly true. So I know if I'm stroking to a deceased person or not. She used to be one of my favorite stars and now I don't know if she's alive or not...hopefully she's alive but I haven't seen anything saying she is or isn't.
She is gone, yes. But it's obvious to Tookie because he believes everything he reads on Facebook. He may have an advantage if he can read and understand French, but instead of translating, he's only saw fit to tell us English speakers how insensitive we have been to not believe as readily as he has. I'm guessing that the 'bad French' in the Facebook memorial page that some Francophones commented on back closer to when this thread started may have simply been due to their having learned Parisian French and not knowing Quebecois French that well. edit: I went back to page one, and the person who said something about the French not being good lived in or around Montreal. So it's not that. I just remembered something said about bad French months and months ago. Edited by - Gentleman Jon on 6/13/2011 1:15:13 AM Edited by - Gentleman Jon on 6/13/2011 5:58:28 PM
Judy was/is from Montreal as I understand. Now I'm assuming She supposedly died in or around Montreal. Depending on Montreal's privacy/freedom of information laws it could not be that difficult for someone eg a Private Investigator or Investigative Journalist to; a) determine Judy Star's real name and location and date of alleged death b) obtain a copy of any medical, hospital and/or a coroner's report(s) in relation to Miss Judy Star's death c) obtain a copy of Miss Star's death certificate An Private Investigator and or an investigative journalist could no doubt dig up this sort of info in a few hours at best.
If you only read the earlier pages of this thread, you'd see her real name. Well, first and last names, not any middle name or middle initials. But, here's the thing. I can't remember ever reading an exact date of death, which certainly widens the search, and for most of us, it's really none of our business.
What are fellow Porn Stars from Montreal saying about the rumored death of Judy Star? I find it impossible to believe that fellow Canadian stars such as Erik Everhard (who has performed with Judy) do not know the truth. Again a search of the public records of births, deaths and marriages etc for the City of Montreal/Province of Quebec using Judy's real name will reveal the truth. Unless She was in witness protection for some obscure reason then these records must exist. Are there no Montrealers or Québécois on ADT that can check these sorts of records?

^You're still asking someone (even if they are in the vague area) to go seriously out of their way to stalk a probable dead person. Even if, miraculously, she turns out not to be dead... It would have turned out that she wanted you to believe she was. When someone dies it's reasonable to say "rest in peace", as in "may his/her soul finally rest, untroubled"... If she is alive, no doubt she'd want to be LEFT in peace. Either way, I don't think it's particularly right that any desperate attempts should be made to track her down. The only connection anyone has to her here is through porn, and that's out there. The rest, ultimately, isn't our business...
Funny how you acknowledge I was right but still have to get in a dig about me believeing everything I read. Whatever. What's with the "bad French" angle? Do you suspect hoaxes every time you come across some imperfect English?
OK guys I'll put the ball back in all of your courts.... you say Judy Star is dead? Prove it! Show me a reputable news source detailing her death, official documentation, or a statement from a close family member or close friend confirming her death. Until hard evidence to the contrary is produced one must assume She is still alive.
I'm just referencing what was said by others on earlier pages of the thread, about the bad French angle. As for acknowledging that she's dead, Adult DVD Talk Forum Post. I was really ticked off by by your 'tude there. So what if I trusted someone who I knew worked in the Montreal porn industry, and had had prior correspondence with? The Facebook memorial page is all or mostly in a language I can't read myself. I couldn't even read myself where the guy who says he's her father, said that he's her father.
I only know of Gentleman Jon what I've read on this forum, but from that he doesn't strike me as a liar. And if he were, why would he lie about this? I'm going to echo the sentiment, until I see an actual obituary, that I hope that she's alive. I'm not suggesting that she is, but that I hope so.
Judy Star was the stage name of Julie Davis. She died quite a while after her retirement from porn, and this has gone largely unacknowledged in the industry. There is a [ invalid url ] for her, and it has hundreds of Quebecois follower, most of them her friends and family. Her own father (who has had a facebook page since before she died) posted there, inviting her friends to a post funeral remembrance service. He gave exact time and location, but asked them not to come to the first part of the service, that was reserved for family only. New messages are posted there daily, and include pictures of her as a child (if it's a fake site, where did they get the pics?), as well as of tattoos people there have had celebrating her (an rather extreme way to perpetuate a lie...). Her death was low key and ignored by her industry colleagues, but anyone visiting that facebook page will find it hard to believe all that mourning from her friends is a charade: why on earth would they keep posting almost daily if the news hasn't even been properly reported?
Nothing warms the cockles like watching Judy Star and Patricia Petite fuck a dude together. During her prime, Judy Star was just about the hottest porn star who ever lived. I used to be able to rub one out to just a picture of her, sitting, in her undies. I probably still could. Maybe I will. God bless you, Judy Star.
^If you have read through the entire thread then you should already have an opinion. It doesn't really matter if Judy is really dead or pretended to die because either way she is no longer in the industry and deserves to left in peace. Edited by - pat362 on 5/16/2012 12:57:58 PM
I did read through the thread, but I'm still unconvinced she's dead, as the tribute site on Facebook has been taken down. And rame.net still have her down as alive. Her porn web site is still up and running, so who says she's retired???
^Just read the last lines of my previous post and do the decent thing and leave the girl alone. If you were a fan then you still have all the movies she did to remember her by.
It actually doesn't matter if you think Judy is still alive. The sad fact is that we will never see a new scene from this angel ever again. So as far as I'm concerned, Judy Starr will never be forgotten and I pray she rests in eternal peace...
