[/quote]Ramsey, please keep in mind that when one shoots for a company as an in-house director, or on a movie to movie basis, they have NO control what price that company is going to sell it for. when I went to Shanes World, they ran into the buyers wanting to pay less for my titles since the prior company I worked for sold pieces for markably fewer dollars per unit. now, is that my fault? in your eyes, probably yes. the bottom feeder companies cause this problem by constantly cutting the legs off of the industry and not holding a price so they can push more units. oh well, thats my rant for the week. god bless America. lates, Von S. But from the look of the trailers,I have no complaints to make about his upcoming flick.It looked good and I will grab it for sure. I guess it's not that they were not good, but maybe that my expectations are way too high these days. It also may be that some of his movies are a little more tame than they were before. Most people could care less about that. I just feel like his movies have been toned down a bit. Lately i've been pretty disgusted with the prices of porn. There's so many companies out there that are charging a huge markup (i'm talking about online DVD retailers). Sure I know that's because they need to stay in business and all, but it gets frustrating when you can't find anyplace else that will sell certain titles from Jules Jordan for under $27. Please don't tell me his titles are over $20 wholesale. I won't believe you. When I saw Fashionistas Safado around when it first came out I couldn't believe the huge markup on that movie. $30 is fair for some DVDs, but only for a two disc movie. I don't mean the movie plus a bonus disc! No two disc movie should be $32 before shipping!! Do you realize that these days Japanese porn is cheaper than american porn? How is this possible?! It's not any less expensive to produce and it even costs more to hire performers over there. You know something is wrong when Japanese porn is the same price as the american stuff. This is even with a fairly large markup. Some new Japanese releases are even as low as $25USD. These days, generally Japanese porn isn't as expensive as it once was. Most Moodyz, SOD/Soft on Demand, Idea Pocket and MVG titles retail for $30USD. That's for a two disc set. Some titles with more extreme content can go as high as $40USD. I don't think it's Jules Jordan's fault some company is charging $33+ for his DVDs. Complain to them instead! I don't mind paying a FEW dollars extra for good customer service and quick order processing, but some places charge so much extra it's like robbery. I guess that when I see Jules Jordan movies for $30 and nowhere else for less i'm more selective. I'll buy fewer titles from him and check reviews more often. [Link] |

Again, I'm not citing those listed above, but the management of the corp in general. Perhaps its a business philosophy? - "keep em waiting and wondering" but it's not working for me or many others. I'll continue to rent the occasional JJV DVD, however whereas before I would rush to the store to rent each and every release, it's slowly becoming less and less due to the above. My rental rate for other top companies in comparision has remained steady as I know in advance what is coming out, they are reliable and have a committment of excellence that shines through in their work.
