Are you guys jerking off to bit rates now? ;) Seriously, we have to weigh bandwidth with file size and what most people can handle. I don't believe that you can judge the quality simply by bitrate, compression is a key factor and lighting conditions. I am constantly upgrading my gear to the latest 4k standards, while some are using the equivalent of gopro 4k. Shark, I find it very hard to believe that perfect gonzo has a 48kbps rate, i'm going to look into this. Are you noticing a huge difference when watched on your 4k television, i'm sure this is the only place you may see any kind of difference? You seem to be a militant pixel peeper lol, trust me, we are doing the best we can.
I hope so. I have many Mandingo scenes in my collection from different movies but this one sucks. Just one scene will end in my collection. You can better from this for sure. Mandingo Massacre 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and especially Mandingo Massacre 2, had superb casting.
I'm really disappointed to hear this response from 'Jules Jordan'. I am a viewer of your content via a 4K resolution screen and I too, can see a difference between picture quality of the last few released scenes where the bitrate has been reduced. Of course it has not made the videos unwatchable, but when you have been used to such high quality for so long, it really is annoying for image quality to be deliberately dropped. I understand you're trying to please everyone, but you are potentially making a mockery of your 4K content by taking this stance. Having such a sharp standard of 4K content with a high bitrate looks second-to-none, and I believe will future-proof these scenes for many years to come. I won't watch anything outside 4K these days after getting so used to the quality at Jules Jordan and the likes of Perfect Gonzo. As a member of Perfect Gonzo, I can back up the claim of their 4K videos having an average bitrate of around 48,000kpbs. They look superb. However, I believe the 4K videos at Jules Jordan still look just as good with a bitrate of around 28/30,000kpbs. This has also made the file size more manageable at around 8gb. People who moan about file sizes being too big, i.e. over 5gb, need to get with the times and upgrade their hard drive, or not bother with 4K at all. These are the people holding back 4K porn and they will regret it in many years in the future when they wished one of their favourite scenes was in a top 4K quality. Apologies for the rant, but I wanted to get my point across on 4K videos. They were perfect how they were at Jules Jordan, don't reduce their bitrate/file size! Please.
^ In regards to future-proofing his releases, can't Jules just re-release the content in 4k with a higher bit rate in the future when 4k screens are more commonplace? Isn't that pretty much what he did with his HD content? First it was released in SD, then later on he added the HD versions to the site? I'm talking about the true HD versions, not the upscaled from SD stuff. I don't have any statistics to back it up, but given the current high-cost of 4k screens my intuition tells me the number of consumers with the ability to even watch 4k scenes is pretty small compared to the rest of the market. Until that segment grows, I don't think it makes much sense for JJV to put itself at a competitive disadvantage just to cater to a small portion of potential members.
Jules Jordan has been releasing 4K scenes since the beginning of 2015; why make the decision to downscale 4K content now? Plus it's not like all releases are even in 4K resolution, very few are in reality. I understand what you are saying, Fahrenheit, but my fear would be that these scenes would not be upgraded in years to come when it becomes more popular. For instance, if Jules Jordan continues to release 4K scenes in a lower bitrate, then I can not see them upgrading those scenes later down the line, with a higher bitrate standard of 4K. Jules Jordan has set the bar for 4K porn, it would be terrible for current 4K users to have to suffer by dropping standards. How would you ever expect 4K to take off if you don't show off its full potential.

Although popularity is a relative thing(some are more popular than others) and the line at which a star is considered "hot/popular" enough to be cast in a Jules Jordan movie seems to be a subjective one and one with which not everyone will agree. If ,as an example, someone believes that there are 20 "A-list" type girls in porn. And you cast 5 of them in each movie, you'll quickly find yourself in a situation where you are repeating casts in one combination of the other. And I know from years of reading this thread that a complaint that has been directed towards Jules is that he "uses the same girls" So it's a balance I think that Jules makes and considers. It may be the case that one favorite star(s) may not be in one movie, but that's ok, you can save your money and wait for the next movie. Or, for about the price of one movie they can subscribe to the Jules Jordan website and view however many scenes fit their fancy.
