I reckon there will be control over what gets shot ("Make it a creampie movie", "make it an all-anal movie", "make it a ...") and who'll be in it.
With the Sex Machines 2, produced by Manuel, it is different. Manuel decides what to shoot, who to shoot, and then the finished product gets distributed - assuming the distribution deal isn't set up somehow different.

Maybe you've seen The Godfather. For many, it is a masterpiece because of Francis Ford Coppola, Brando, Pacino...Few said afterwards "Great job Albert S. Ruddy. How you provided the money. Unbelievable". Even with a lot of money, the movie can be crap if the people in charge do a poor job.
That reminds me of the taglines of some of the newer movies: Not "From the writer of ..." or "from the director of ...", and not even "From the producer of ...", but "From *one* of the producers of ..." (not kidding).

I mean, yes theres a pandemic and it has slowed your shoots, but why do you still sit on content filmed ages ago? You could please your fans/members like myself by filling in the gaps with older unreleased scenes. I do see you have done this a bit recently, but it looks like you have quite a few unreleased scenes and the update schedule is still slow.
While the sitting on old scenes is a bit annoying, there’s absolutely no issue with the release update schedule. A new scene every 3 days (and sometimes even more often, with these so called "Shock Drops".
TrueAnal, Nympho etc. during lockdown haven’t updated at all. Vixen, Tushy etc. have scaled back from 5 days to 7 days Evil Angel has also reduced the amount of new scenes (= DVDs × 4) per month

Until the advent of auteur theory and indie films, producers were usually more famous and considered more important than directors; it's far more David O. Selznick's Gone With the Wind than Victor Fleming's, eg. Producers' jobs can be as simple as providing the money or as complex as managing most all aspects of the production, it really just depends.
You should ask the person who shot it, it wasn't me, i've never shot at that location, It may have been from a Manuel Ferrara movie that I put out, I wasn't able to ID it by what she was wearing, however she could have changed clothes. How did you locate this tweet from 2017? Are you a sleuth? What scenes are you looking for?

How do people feel about all these Camsoda scenes on julesjordan.com? I think some of them are okay, and I know there is an audience for scenes that are more amateur-like and raw in their feel. I do get that. However, my personal opinion is that they aren't good for the site, and though I am a member right now, they certainly won't keep me subscribed.
When someones sole contribution to this thread is "WHERE IS THIS SCENE????" "IT WAS FILMED IN 2017!" and they don't do the research, and it has already been released, it's a bit unnerving, and accusatory. You can search by talent and watch trailers to all the scenes on my site. It seems my thread has become a bit of a scavenger hunt for when scenes were shot, and people seem to be getting gratification in "being in the know", I personally enjoy releasing the "archived" scenes as it shows a different perspective of talent some may have forgotten. I have overshot in the last 15 years in the goal of remaining "cutting edge". It's certainly better than not having enough content for updates ;)
We have been shooting some excellent new scenes weekly that we are getting out as fast as possible, there has been an influx of hot new talent fortunately.
Don't get me wrong i'm not opposed to fans asking when scenes are getting released, but I question some of your motives in bagging on the archived scenes. Remember we're in a pandemic, everyone is doing the best they can.

I don't get why people are bitching and not interested in older scenes that are now being dropped. Granted I'm curious as to why these scenes took so long to drop but I'm happy to watch them. I mean do you all just disregard all the porn that is over 2,3,4,5 years or older? A lot of these older scenes have been really good so I'm happy they are being released.

I don't care If Jules holds the scene for 15 years as long as the scene is great when It was released. And Jules has released some great work and given us girls that normally don't do IR. Some of those Lex scenes were some of his best work especially the ones with Jewel De'Nyle, Ryan Connor and Gina Lynn I still watch those. My only regret Is He never shot a prime Nina Hartley in one of his movies. I can only imagine Nina with her ridiculous body (In Her prime or early milf years) oiled up taking Lex or Mandingo but that's not his fault.

But still you're here constantly whining it about it. If his business model upsets you so, why don't you move on? Seriously, what's the big deal with an unreleased Riley scene? According to IAFD, she's shot over 1000 scenes in the past 10 years. Have you literally seen them all? If not, why is an unreleased scene so important and elusive? If you've seen 10 IR anal scenes between Riley and Prince (made up example) why is that 11th one so critical?
Maybe the reasons that the so called unreleased scenes are unreleased is that; 1. It was misfiled along the way and was lost, 2. They're not up to his standards, 3, some other technical reason, 4. Maybe the guy couldn't get wood, 5. Maybe Riley had an accident and the scene got messy, and it was scrapped. 6. Any other reason that might be plausible.
The only two things I dislike about Jules' practice is that it 1.) adds confusion as to whether a performer is still active or not and 2.) allows possibly for an incredible scene from a great starlet not get released due to external issues: such examples could be the master file gets corrupted or a starlet quits the industry claiming she truly hated her time in porn due to any sort of reasons (which happens all the time).
Otherwise, it makes complete commercial sense for Jules to cover his ass and keep a rainy day stockpile. Just wish there was a three year expiration limit or something of the sort for a scene.

I agree. I come to this thread to see what's been shot, what's coming up, and to see what people are suggesting. It's annoying wading through the same complaints from the same people over and over again. First and foremost Jules doesn't release bad or sub quality content. Everyone here has seen plenty of low quality stuff and it's not what Jules puts out. He's been one of the top producers of porn for many years and he doesn't stay at or near the top putting out junk. There's a HUGE difference between "bad" or low quality content and something you don't like. Just because you personally don't like it doesn't mean it's badly shot or done. I don't like everything Jules may do but I can understand it's because of my personal tastes and not because it's badly done. Some people here can't grasp that concept. Also, Jules doesn't go to work every morning with the sole intent of making porn specifically for each and every "fan's" tastes and wants. He's got a big audience of paying customers with a variety of tastes. Even if you're paying a subscription that doesn't mean his job is to make his output specifically to always please each "fan". So just like with everything else in life not everything he does is going to be liked by everyone. Also, this whole attitude of thinking Jules is somehow trying to fuck you over because he held back a scene or doesn't always explain why he held it back is very sad and disturbing to witness.
I'm not talking about any one person here. There are and have been plenty (too many) people who waste their time here with that crap. I've never thought Jules doesn't always do the best he can.
