You must have also missed the post where I flat out said not to approach the girl outside of an event. I love Katja Kassin's thread. You know ... when the girls leave the industry, they usually stop making posts in adult related sites. But Katja still comes here and shares her honest opinion about many important matters. Of course every adult model, woman and generally human person is different and experiences sex in different way. Yeap I back up 100% your opinions folks as well as Rosco's characteristic sarcasm. We all agree here! Porn Is NOT YET a socially acceptable product and is NOT ok for a guy to walk up to an adult performer anytime anywhere, regardless of who they're with and speak about pornography... And is not only Katja who says that but many other famous pornstars like Lisa Ann. When they are in porn cons and strip clubs or a relative environment is ok. When they are in adult forums like this one is more than ok. But when they are showing up in public better to be very discrete. There are many cruel and immature people who do not understand or do not respect adult models in general and they say a lot of bullshits when they approach them. Things which hurt them and make them feel very discomfort. And that results in many models to change cities, to close themselves in the house or becoming very reserved and less and less social. even if porn is socially acceptable, even if you are with people who love you do porn..... a random fan should not go up and start talking about specific sex acts in front of strangers. You seem to be only looking at the angle of maybe embarassing the performer or "outing" her to her friends....... it just isn't right no matter what... unless she is at a porn event and "in character" one should not be asking her about her last double anal scene just because you recognize her at some restaurant. Porn will never be mainstream. I would hate to see the world where the majority of people were tolerant of their female family members doing what female pornstars do. I hope Katja's fans know better than to approach her in her personal life, which should be personal. She did a job that helped her accomplish her goals. She should be left alone to enjoy her life without a porn fan bothering at what could be at times that are socially very costly to her. I don't want to shoot scenes right now. I'm doing web cam shows, solo custom videos, private Skype show, phone erotic etc. I don't understand why it's so hard to get for people that non sex performances are a total different level. I can do that from the comfort of my own home, manage my own schedule and I don't expose myself to STD's. What made me happy 10 years ago, might not be what makes me happy today and what works perfectly today might not be the right thing tomorrow. It amazes me how people are trying so hard to find a pattern and then they get confused because they can't figure it out. The pattern is that I do what I want, when I want. I am aware that this is great privilege but since I was given the sexual spirit to work as a performer I am going to take full advantage of it. Porn simply does not work together with school because I am not available Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm. The scenes that work scheduling wise are too few and cost of testing is too high for me. Plus, I have been gone for too long and new girls are popular at the moment. It is amazing after pages of thread of Katja explaining her choices, she still has to defend herself because people won't get the message.
Katja has had breaks before but not because of an issue as such with porn but she wants to "further herself" educationally for a career that would ideally last longer than a career with porn. I assume when she is finally finished with porn she will say it here. Previously with exams or lectures pending she was probably concentrating on passing those exams or studying rather than doing those scenes as the reason for breaks. I say good on Katja if that makes her happier for the long term.

actually it is very stressful because over 35 every pregnancy is regarded as "high risk". The amount of extra tests I had to do is insane, all the genetic testing especially. Over the age of 35 risk of genetic disorders is much higher and there are more testing offered. I also have high blood pressure which is a concern. While being an older mom probably has its advantages, physically it is more challenging.

Good lhck with the pregnancy Katja. I was lucky enough to do a few camshows with you where we talked too and got to know the real Katja a bit more on streamate. I would like to think that a pregnancy in an over 35 year old isn't as risky as. for example in the mid 1950s when I was born with today's medical advances. After all that Katja. a woman has all her eggs at birth and the older she gets the older her eggs are and with advancing age there is a much higher risk for genetic disorders. The other issue is that the older you get, the more other health problems you might already have, for example I have high blood pressure. I also don't have the same energy as I used to have when I was younger and that is also a factor. Yes, the medical world is a lot more able to take good care of you as in the 50's but no doctor can turn back the time on your body. (Unless you have a shit ton of money and freeze your eggs in your 20's and pay a bunch of money later on to get them artificially implanted). I also have a negative RH factor and in the 1950's my child could have been in serious trouble, nowadays we have medication to prevent an adverse immune response with mismatching RH factors between mom and baby.

I'm sure that you are well aware of all aspects with getting a child at slightly later stage in life. By the way have you given some thought of how you are going to break the news of your (former) career in the adult industry to your offspring? He or she will most likely find out later on, at school probably. I've always considered you to be one of the most intelligent porn actresses out there, with a really high (work) morale. I don't doubt that you will be able to tackle any upcoming situations related to this with good outcome.

Why is it that whenever a woman announces they're expecting, everyone has to offer up unsolicited advice and horror stories? It's bad enough when women do it, but porn fanbois? Seriously, whatever happened to just saying congrats and leaving it at that?

Honestly, right now I am more worried about my baby being healthy. I am learning about breast feeding and the birth process. Those are very intense experiences and that is more of a focus for me than anything else. I am not really thinking about how to talk to my kid about my life. I don't think that is an issue. The main topic when it comes to parenting at the moment is for me to figure out how to raise a trilingual child than can communicate with all their grandparents while still be able to navigate life in the US. During my time as a social worker, I have worked with children and teens who have lost a parent and who have incarcerated parents. One of my young clients struggled with the idea of why his parent was in jail. Believe me, there are more severe things that can affect the parent-child relationship than a parent having had an adult modeling career. I personally don't think it is a severe issue. And as far as advice goes, my clinical education and previous work with children as a therapist have more than prepared me to raise one myself.
