If you take a closer look, you will note that there are a lot of porn performers in those movies (you think they did not talk to each other?). She is 40 years old. I don't think she has worked as of late and must assume the legit offers have dwindled. So why all this conjecture as what drove her to porn? Why Vivid? They publicize/pay her well and she does not have to shoot 100 movies in the next six months, in which she will have to hang from the chandelier while taking 5 males at the same time just to get noticed... It's likely that she'll be paid the same way most porn stars are usually paid - a one-time sum that was agreed to beforehand. I also imagine this movie won't be a one-time thing. She probably shot a handful of movies for Vivid at the same time, and my guess is you'll see them come out over the next two or three years. Whether she does any further work after the initial few flicks she's probably already shot, with Vivid or anyone else, likely depends on how well these movies do. [Link] |

I don't know about you but if it is talent that I like I won't just be happy with the free scene. Some use banner ad revenue but this is a dying channel. Vivid contracts the girls (I don't think any other companies do this) get a 1 to 3 year contracts. The contracts range from $50,000-150,000 per year with a few exceptions. Janine and Jenna type stars get 4 times that top end figure (from the rumor mill). I know this is for another thread but I know how to fix the industry and choke out illegal distribution: Lower prices and go to on-line distribution. Clips $1.00 and full length $5.00. This move would end the free teaser sites and piracy while increasing volume and net revenue by eliminating so much overhead. Movies (non porn) used to be $70 and people were copying them for 10 of their friends while movie companies were building copy protection features and trying to sue pirates.
