Anyways, this is why B/G fans will never give up, because even if a girl says it will never happen, Kenna is a perfect example of never say never. But if you pay attention, you can tell the type of girls who will cross over, and I had Kenna pegged as the type from Day 1, so it's no surprise to me. The interesting thing now is how she manages her career from here. If she's smart, she'll trickle out the B/G slowly slowly like an Abigail Mac, so as to alienate as few G/G fans as possible. Or maybe she will disappear shortly after this like other former G/G stars who did after crossing over. If she thought G/G fans were critical, let's see how she navigates the various demands of the B/G world. Because if she thinks they'll be happy with her sticking to vanilla b/g, she's got another thing coming. Or maybe she'll try returning to G/G only if things don't work out. I wonder if she will get more out of future G/G scenes besides just a paycheck now, because that G/G fanbase may not stick around. It's hard for a lot of them to watch a girl they like go from enjoying herself with other women to her on her knees mouth agape for a guy to finish on. If a model's scenes suffer, then there's a discussion to be had purely from a performance standpoint. 2) Her wording in that AVN article kind of put herself and other g/g crossover models down a bit. She said that it takes a special kind of girl to have a career as a g/g only model, so in crossing over, does that make her or those other girls less special that did make the leap? 3) The oddness and unease of the choosing of James Deen aside, I'm kind of getting the feeling that these might be it for her when it comes to b/g for awhile. It seems like she knocked out the three big ones (b/g, b/g/g, and interracial b/g) and made a big fuss about not having any more b/g plans for now. I wouldn't be at all shocked if she ends up leaving the industry by the end of the year and just decided to do these scenes for the people that wanted to see them. 4) The OTT reactions from male g/g fans are just as bad as the b/g fans that hound g/g models daily to do b/g. There's already such a limited amount of models representing my sexual orientation in porn that seeing those reactions make me more angry than anything about a girl crossing over. I don't think the straight male audience in general realizes how hard it it in porn for queer girls like me to feel like the industry is a place where they can be represented by models as part of our community. I know it's not something that's going to change for a long time, if ever, but I do hope people consider thinking about this the next time they want a g/g model to do anal with a guy or a g/g fan freaks out if a girl crosses over. It's not so much a judgment, but a statement of fact. I think not being into women is a valid reason why a model's performance can suffer. If a woman is not into women but can put on good G/G performances, then that's fine because no one will ever call her Gay 4 Pay because she's such a convincing performer. 2) I think Kenna's statement put her self down actually. She basically admitted that she doesn't have what it takes to be a successful Girl/Girl performer, which is why she had to cross over.
