IMO Buttman is the best porn director of all time. However, the last year or so his output has been seriously low. Is anyone else missing his work?

I'm his die hard fan ever since 1990 and of course he's the best of the best and that's why I have to say I also miss his movies. Tricia already wrote before that he will slow down with making movies because he's doing other non-porn things.

At least there's a new Nudes-A-Poppin volume coming out. That's really my favorite Buttman serie. I mean the tease for me is a lot hotter than the hardcore action.

I know "Evil Vault" has just come out, but I'm a little surprised that there have been no boxsets released over there at EA. I applaud the non-porn projects because that really shows how talented he can be. you don't want to wait for the next release , but at the same time when it is released you marvel that much more at its greatness.

for me the buttman scenes were the best "mainstream" ones
they were nearly perfect...i wish really there would be more coming out..all other labels piss me off with their style

I'd like to see a few more new Buttman movies, but on the other hand he's got plenty going on elsewhere and there's still plenty of older Buttman movies coming out on DVD. As long as there's still Buttman coming out on DVD I'm happy.

What I would like most is to see Buttman do a video with some of todays most popular butts. Could you imagine what his camera and butts like Olivia, Tiffany, etc would do for lovers of big asses.

Yeah, I mean it's nice that Jules Jordan en Thomas Zupko for example shoot these butts serie but they don't even come close to the Buttman himself when it comes to shooting butts!

Yeah, the early Buttman movies are for me the best porn of all time. One thing I have always loved about JS, and am very grateful for, is that I could always show his tapes to women I liked and they totally GOT IT. Maybe Rocco helped a lot , but somehow those '90s flicks worked a lot of charm along with the hot fucking, and they helped me get into some trouble on more than one occasion. Beyond that, they are simply quality erotica, with an amaziong array of stunning women, real sex, and lots of humor. There's no doubt in my mind that Stagliano is the greatest pornographer of all time -- in part, because there's such a human element in what he does. He never forgets that, even when the sex becomes extreme, and the passion is inspiring for those who watch. Everyone else, even Joey (who is currently my fave), comes after.

I don't know about that. Anybody who's seen the "Ass Worships" , and the "Big Wet Asses" , and the "Azz Fests" , know that's not the case. Jordan, Zupko, Van Styles and these guys are total butt freaks like the rest of us, and have shown that they know how to shoot, showcase, and present the female ass in a highly charged and sexually appealing manner.

Where I'll wholeheartedly agree with you, is that while the current breed of filmmaking butt connoisseurs each have their own style, they all are disciples of, and owe a huge debt to, the original Butt King, Stagliano. Without him, they don't exist, and because of him, they are inspired.

I also think Skronker hit it on the head with the point that the humorous element that was always such a big part of Stagliano's work, is what made his movies so distinctive and is what is kind of lacking today. Not so much scripted humor, but more to the fact that things seem to be so much fun in his flicks and everybody seemed to be having such a good time. And above all else, Stagliano as the filmmaker himself was always having such a good time. He almost seemed like a kid in a candy store. He was the first, and is probably still the best at making the porn viewer feel as if he was one of us, and he reacted like one of us. And that shone through in his films.

Stagliano is definitely my All Time Porn Hero.

You can name a few other directors like Tom Byron and Joey Silvera but the difference is these directors don't have the same passion for butts as Stagliano has. When you watch a Buttman movie you can just feel how much he loves butts and it translates in the great action.

Really? I understand that that is your opinion, but I'm curious to know how and by what criteria you came to that conclusion.

How about we do this. How about we ask other folks, other than me and you, what they think Thom Zupko's level of "passion for butts", is. Folks that have seen any or all of the "Big Wet Asses" series. Obviously, I am a fan of Zupko's. It is also well documented in these pages that you have a hard spot and a hard-on for Zupko, for reasons of your own that have nothing to do with his "passion for butts". You've even gone so far as to say that you'd never buy or watch his stuff again, so if you are true to your word, then you haven't even seen "B.W.A. 4" , which may be the ultimate display of a "passion for butts" on the market today.

If you don't like the guy, then you don't like him. But to say that he doesn't meet some Stagliano standard for butt passion is just not true in light of the quality butt flicks the guy has been giving us.

John's been devoting the vast majority of his time the Fashionistas show in Las Vegas, which I believe opens this month. Once that show is up and running on his own, we will likely see some new Buttman movies.

John has 2 or 3 scenes shot that haven't been released yet, but they will be for different movies, not the same one, so he has to shoot a few more gonzo scenes before we'll get his next Buttman movie.

However --- he WILL be shooting a feature in the spring of 2005 that we hope to release in September 2005. It will be kind of a suspensful/mystery-type of movie.
