| Billy244 Member 77 Posts 7/03 | i made another purchase on Laseres edege it was a rld movie it took only 15 days (between monday sept 29 and monday oct 13 ) with 1.99 $ special shipment for paris,France there was the hard box in a Bubble -lite enveloppe (stamped in ...zurich !!) it just can't be better !! lasers edge seems to be a very serious company in my first purchase i received nothing i emailed marc and 4 days later i got my package i have a theory on this lost when lasers don't know you (on your first purchase for example)and if your billing adress is not the same as your shipping adress i think lasers edge believe it is a joke and they are afraid of the chargebacks so they ship nothing so everything must be okay and when they know you (wooow !!!)they are a great company i recommend lasersE to all european buyers but we have to prey for the dollar-euro parity stay at the same level: 20.94 $ in france it is nothing !! see you [Link] |

| Billy244 Member 77 Posts 7/03 | i have to say that in a first time i put the same billing and shipping adress whereas in reality they are different perhaps it is the detail which mislead laseresedge and make them no trustful but i am pretty sure they post nothing a postal package is NEVER lost it is just LATE see you |

| scipio Senior Member 1901 Posts 2/00 | I've had quite a few packages go missing over the years, probably 5-10, and I know for a fact that they were sent, too. Packages can easily get lost or stolen, especially in the International Mail systems. Some were sent 2+ years ago, that seems pretty late to me. I'm not expecting them to arrive anytime soon, either... scipio |
| lasersedge Member Carmel, IN, USA 75 Posts 2/00 | I appreciate your "theory" but it is simply incorrect. As I explained to you at the time you reported the missing package, this sometimes happens. Sometimes packages go missing due to a number of reasons. Postal theft being the main one, postal damage/disposal, mis-sort which leads to theft, etc. Your package that went missing has nothing to do with you difference in address. We check that with the issuing bank before we even process the charge. We ship to international customers every day that have different billing addresses and shipping addresses. To say that "a postal package is NEVER lost it is just LATE Billy244, I realize you intended to post praise for us and I do appriciate that. I am not trying to come down on you, I just wanted to set the record straight as to our company policies. I am glad that my resolution to your problem satisfied your buying experience with our company. Also I thank the many of you that posted in our defense. Gabriel Nine, thanks for bringing the discussion to my attention. I have been swamped since returning from vacation and haven't had a chance to catch up on the forum yet. Marc @ The Laser's Edge |

| Billy244 Member 77 Posts 7/03 | my post was intended to have overreaction and open the debate in France mail package are "sacred" and i would never understand why a postal parcel doesn't come to me the first victim is laseredge because he send me the same product twice and it's quite embarrassing for me in France postal thief is severely prosecuted 15 days ago there were many package missing in a France area he's in jail ! that's why i think there is a serious problem but i keep all my trust to laseresedge they are the best !! see you |
| neonitrix New Member Dublin - Ireland 3 Posts 3/03 | I had asked over the phone for the package to be customs friendly and was told it would be, it turned up by DHL and full price of dvds were on package. I wasnt told on delivery that I owed money in customs charges and ended up having a dept collection company chasing me about monies owed. I didnt know anything about it and dhl never wrote to me. It caused almost 1 year of problems for me I would love to order again but this has sadly coloured my view on the whole internet buying dvd thing Neonitrix |

| cykedout Member Ireland 245 Posts 8/00 | I'm not sure why you got screwed by have it shipped DHL, but last year or so, the government here outsourced the (heavier) parcel post to a private company and they seem to be screwing people for "hidden" charges, etc. Maybe the courier companies come under the same banner. Are you certain that it was Irish Customs who were looking for the extra "fees"? |
| neonitrix New Member Dublin - Ireland 3 Posts 3/03 | What pissed me off more was that it was my first order I had rang lasersedge and told them I didnt understand everything as I had never bought online b4. & the person I was speaking to said dont worry that they will make the package customs friendly. So I took that on face value, that why all the hassle will the dept collection agency months after I received my order fazed me so much. Neonitrix Edited by - neonitrix on 10/25/2003 9:49:06 PM |
| cykedout Member Ireland 245 Posts 8/00 | In my opinionjust try a standard shipping method with Laser's Edge (or any other retailer) for any subsequent orders. If you check earlier threads concerning Irish Customs, you'll see that you were lucky to get your order at all, as they probably didn't realise it was porn in the package. Others I would personally recommend to try are EroDVD in Holland, Five Star DVD, Adult DVD Now, Adult DVD Empire and Bargain Adult DVD. I've gotten stuff from all of them in the past with no major problems. Many others here would highly recommend most of them. Check them out for prices and titles for yourself and good hunting.
