The board keeps telling me that my last visit was on 1/8/2006 2:01:24 PM, all though I have been here a few times since then. Problem is that I always use 'active topics' and that list just keeps growing and growing now. I did remove the date cookie, but that makes no difference.

I had exactly this problem. It seems to be related to the forum move in some way since the last visit time was stuck at the time just before the forum moved and hadn't changed with my later visits. I logged out of ADT and deleted all cookies. This succeeded in resetting the last visit time to the actual time of my last visit and completely clearing the active topics page. I've just left and come back (without deleting any cookies) to see if the last visit time would now be stuck at the new time or if it things would be back to working properly - and indeed they do seem to be working properly for me now, with the last visit time being the time of my last visit. So this does seem to work as a once-and-for-all fix rather than needing to delete cookies every time. I still don't really know what the problem was/is - but at least I do know how I fixed it!
It's most likely due to the last visted cookie not being properly set/read for "adultdvdtalk.com" instead of "forum.adultdvdtalk.com". I'll look into it.
Try logging out and logging in again. It fixed it for me.
The cookie looks like it's being set properly but there might be an issue with the session variables between the two sites. (forum and main site) I'll look into it some more tomorrow.
today, when I clicked 'active topics', I got all purple indicated ones (new after last log-in), followed by roughly the same amount yellow ones per forum
besides this, ADT is slow indeed; this morning (I'm in Romania) there was even some period of time I wasn't able to read any post/thread (warning "server time out, please try later" when clicking on a link to a post/thread)
Wow, Active Topics just started showing me the last six days worth of threads. It was fine at the beginning of the session. Quitting the browser and starting again, reset everything back to normal.

for me too, it was all OK again till this morning: -no correct update of read/non-read icons -a lot of time outs (Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL, Server error '80040e31' , Timeout expired /forum/inc_functions.asp, line 1396)
I've dumped all cookies/history a couple of days ago. Is this all related to ADT server overload? Or is something wrong on my side?
Like I mentioned previously, there are a number of database maintenance routtines that happen late at night. Most of them occur between 3 am and 5 am local time. (eastern U.S.) It's not server load from the website, it's that the database goes offline periodically during these hours. It usually only lasts a few minutes though.
