I'm looking at getting a small LCD TV (preferrable widescreen) for the bedroom. Between 19" and 26". Has anyone done research on LCD televisions recently? I'll take any assistance you can provide. Information like preferred brands, wary brands and review sites would be appreciated. [Link]

rolemco Member 220 Posts 7/05	Posted - Jul 23 2005 : 9:50AM you can order one of these- http://buyingguide.com.au/ just make sure you get a fast refresh time or you'll have issues with full motion video, under 20ms is probably ok and under 15ms would be great. you can get dual connector on certain sets for your dvd's through component in and run your pc thru a dvi/hdmi port,for your mpegs and avi's. good luck [Link]

I have a 19" lcd monitor and a 27" 16:9 samsung 720p crt in my bedroom. I use the db15 and dvi on the 19" for pc stuff and the hdmi and component on the 27" for video. [Link]

Pretty much what you see on the stores what's what you're gonna get if you take it home, so please take close attention to all the little details because this is a big invesment just like your car and house. oatmeal Meat Popsicle Seeking Beauty 1738 Posts 8/04	Posted - Jul 26 2005 : 10:19AM I ended up getting a Samsung 23" It's not HDTV built-in but it's picture quality is great even using cable. It came with a free upscaling Samsung DVD player so 480p DVDs look the best they can. [Link]
rolemco Member 220 Posts 7/05	Posted - Jul 27 2005 : 6:50PM good choice- nice refresh time, contrast ratio, and luminence. what dvd player did u get hd941? either way if possible use the hdmi cable, it won't have to d/a convert like component. that's the truest hd picture you can feed it without a tuner, unless your set top cable box is capable, either way use the hdmi feed. oatmeal Meat Popsicle Seeking Beauty 1738 Posts 8/04	Posted - Jul 27 2005 : 7:11PM Samsung DVD-HD850. I have it connected via HDMI and it looks pretty good. I have a HDTV capable PVR (with DVI) that I'm tempted to hook up for shits and giggles. The only annoyance on the TV and DVD is the power light. It's ON when the system is off! The LED on the DVD can illuminate the bedroom, very handy when you want to sleep. It's so bright I can throw shadow puppets. Some brilliant engineering/marketing on that feature. I'm probably going to paint the LEDs black. There's another LCD TV out there that's surprisingly good, big and cheap. In Canada it's being sold under the Mag Innovision name but it can be found on the Proview web site. The picture was great and the price for a 32" (RX-326) was cheaper than the 23" I bought. rolemco Member 220 Posts 7/05	Posted - Jul 27 2005 : 9:57PM my sammy had a jingle played when it powered up, I was able to go into the service area and turn it off, check it out it may have a bright/dim/off setting for the led. for a tv you enter [mute], [1], [8], [2], [power] with the tv off. see if you can find one for the dvd player. [Link]
