Is it better to buy a LED TV now as the 3D LED technology is still to be improved
If LED , which one is a good recommendation

Personally, as long as you have to deal with those stupid glasses, I give a big thumbs down to the 3D thing.

It comes down to how often you think that you'd use 3D and how much it's worth to you and whether you have access to 3D source material. I've had access to 3D content on DirecTV for a few years and it's still a novelty. Partially, that's because there isn't significant content available and when that content is available, it's been inferior. For example, they broadcast about 4 hours of Olympics in 3D each day. But, they didn't bother having announcers for that broadcast. There are some college football games broadcast in 3D, but in order to have a 3D effect, they have to shoot the action from a much lower angle than they do 2D content. That's great for seeing 3D action. But it's not so great for watching a football game. You don't really get to see the actual plays like you do when the game is shot from a higher angle. If shooting from a low angle was good for watching football, that's how it would always be shot. I want to watch the game, not a 3D demo. The primary focus shouldn't be how much 3D can be shot. The primary focus should be on the game. 3D should be a bonus. Until they figure that out, 3D football will continue to be a novelty.
If you have a 3D Blu-ray player (I recently bought one because the laser went on my old player and the company who's player that I wanted only makes 3D players now), you have some better options with movies. But if you're primarily a renter, you really can't get the 3D discs from Blockbuster (or, I assume, Netflix). So, you need to be willing to buy 3D Blu-ray discs.
As far as what TV to buy is concerned, I can't give you any recommendation because I haven't done any recent research on 3D LED's (I have a 4 year old 3D DLP, which is the last time that I did any TV research). I would suggest taking a look at the AV Science forum if you want information from people who are knowledgeable on this topic.
