I have a original VHS tape of the DARK BROTHERS controversial classic "LET ME TELL YA BOUT BLACK CHICKS" and needless to say it's not in the best of shape. Does ANYONE know where I could possibly get another copy of the tape and/or get it copied to DVD? I know the last time that it came out was in 1986 and there have been no plans to put it back out.

Your best bet is to copy it to DVD. You'll probably have difficulty finding a commerical outfit that will copy porn for you, so I expect you'll need to do it yourself. Since this is probably going to turn into a technical discussion, I'm moving the thread to Tech Talk.

I have a friend that runs his own business converting film and video to DVD in Lake Forest, CA. I don't think he'd have a problem with porn. He's a pro with good equipment. I'll ask him if you're interested.

He typically does old family movies, wedding videos, etc.

Prob. the easiest way to go about this, is to get a vcr-dvd recorder combo. and record the vhs tape to dvd.

This movie has been out of print for a long time on VHS. No DVD was ever made. I think VCA's owner did some time for obcenity so he decided to pull any controversial movies from his catalogue just to be on the safe side, or do some editing.
But this is one of the flicks that got outright deleted from VCA's catalogue. Your only hope to find this is a porn store that's clearing out their old VHS.
I almost lucked out and found a VHS copy of this movie, but it sold before I could get my hands on it.
There's a video store near me that has about 2000 old VHS tapes sitting in a warehouse, the owner never got around to putting these tapes on the shelves.
Since DVD's have taken over he is clearing out all his VHS. Anyway, what he does is bring in a hundred or so classic VHS every week to replace the ones that he sold on clearance during the week, there's some really great classic stuff on his shelves all for $9.99-$14.99.
I asked the guy who manages the place if he had the LMTYB Black Chicks flick, he checked the computer and told me it was sold a couple of days before, ARGHHHH!
These guys have stuff I never thought I'd see again, and new stuff keeps coming in every week, all classics.
I'm hoping another copy shows up, but I doubt it.

Personally I would just buy it on DVD myself as that would be the easiest way to go about it. Let Me Tell Ya Bout White Chicks in the price search.
M.B. I mentioned this under a month ago when you were mentioning that this movie wasn't available in this thread.

There are two different movies:

Let Me Tell Ya Bout White Chicks and Let Me Tell Ya Bout Black Chicks.
White Chicks was released on DVD. Black Chicks was never released on DVD and the VHS was deleted by VCA.
There's a controversial scene in Black Chicks where a few white guys in KKK hoods DP black girl Sahara.
This scene is probably the reason you'll never see this movie on DVD. VCA plays it safe these days.

Man I Joined this site from checkin google about this movie hopin I could get some leads on it. What sux is I dont see why people get so uptight about certain scenes in porn. I mean its PORN its not Disney.

I've been lookin for a copy of this movie since 1988 lol. Anyone let me know if you come across a copy. Probably gonna have to check with a foreign dealer like in Canada or something.

Do you think your friend to so this for me if I sent him a video? I live in Canada so I'm not sure what legal issues there are. It's a redboard BDSM movie so that would be the concern.

Ditto on that one Vam! I hope that the folks at VCA read this fourm to get consumer imput because there are a few titles that VCA has out already that could be placed in the Same box as BLACK CHICKS.
After all Dark Bros the Devil in Miss Jones NB was not to PC and they have that on their catalog....and guess why....it's HOT! The classic PRETTY PEACHES was killed but another company edited it and released it. Considering what kind ot catagories they go into at present I would consider this film a classic and has a right to see the light of day.
more classics should.
